it wasnt even the best soviet tank, much less the best tank of the war

/thread

When it was introduced, it was the most advanced and best protected tank in the world.

Just because it has those qualities doesn't make it the "best".

>advanced
>drive on uneven ground with turret pointed to side
>fall over and can't get up

The fact that it remained unmatched for three years (until 1942) does.

KV tank != KV assault gun

>Russians literally can't find a use for it
>Constantly lags behind T-34
>Can't use half the bridges
>B-BEST T-T-T-TANK

How can it be the best tank when it isn't even used half the time and the T-34 can do the same job for cheaper?

Like if you want to furiously masturbate over hard stats feel free but the practical application of the KV series is dismal.

Pic related was easily the best tank of the war

the panzer IV was probably the best german tank of the war
despite lacking the armor or speed of its bigger cousins, its probably the most versatile tanks in their arsenal
it was also a fairly reliable tank, something the germand desperately needed
hard stats arent everything

>hard stats arent everything
I know, I was just joking
I think pic related was the best AFV of Germany during the war though

>Not posting the Porsche variant

KV was very good heavy tank for early stages of war, but when IS-1 or 2 were invented (which were evolution of KV) KV becomes obsolete even with some modifications.

best heavy tank of war

the Porsche turret was shit

Why.

Attached: Toppestofkeks_1.jpg (1354x358, 59K)

because it was a shot trap
there's a reason only a few Tiger II were produced with the Porsche turret until it was replaced with the angular Henschel turret

>3 konigs for 1 t34
nah

>Porsche Turret
>Henschel Turret

But both were made by Krupp?

The Sherman series of tanks were unironically the best of the war.

not the fastest, not the toughest, not the deadliest
but they were the most reliable, and almost the most numerous

they were the best tank, not because it was the best design, but because it was part of the most modern arsenal

Aesthetic wise, yes.

>Germans cant find a use for it
>constantly lags behind Panzer 4
>Cant cross most bridges
>B-BB-BEST T-TT-TANK

>He thinks I like German shitboxes

Go home Sergei.

>Girlswithcancer

There is a special place in my heart for the STuG. And even moreso for the STuH 42. Why, I don't know, but it's such a neat little thing that did a lot of asswooping in theater.

I doubt it.

stug was the silent working class hero of Germany
small, light, well armed, and perfectly suited for a defensive war
when someone tried to cancel stug production, nazi brass actually had rare fit of rage
along with the panzer IV were the real muscle behind them

the stug was the most manufactured AFV for a reason
panther gets all the credit for the stugs achievements

IS-2 won over the Tiger-2 in their only engagement during WW2

Its ugly though

>hating GuP

T-28 had all modern tech and probably was more advanced. Both of them were extremely expensive. It is ironic that Soviets had real text-book Wunderwaffe while Germans didn't.

>tank series that was somehow worse than T-28 AND T-34
>best tank
nigger r u srs?

Attached: 1531106261281.jpg (640x422, 45K)

In 1941 it was a fucking beast.

>chops off loader's foot
heh... nothin personnel... cyka

What a sample size. 1.
I'm not a wehraboo, btw. It's just that that proves nothing about either tank.

>being cancer

That's just not even true.

And for my next trick, the attachment.

That's fair, but so was the Lee in North Africa (and the T-34 for that matter, which was produced in more significant numbers).

>leaked oil like nobody's business
>air filter described by the Americans as "something a sabotier would make"
>lackluster gun
>hand cranked turret
It had decent armor, I guess.

>he thinks that the pz iv and stug weren't die besten
