how much does a vz24 go for? I am not familiar with mauser pricing.

>how much does a vz24 go for? I am not familiar with mauser pricing.
That's a pretty vague question; there are certain Vz.24 contracts that go for big bucks (like Venezuelan or Iranian). Generally though, the common ex-Czech Army or scrubbed Romanian refurb is $250-350.

Attached: IMG_2320.jpg (1600x1200, 1.18M)

anyone got a FN 49?

i bought one of these for one hundred dollaronies once. went to fire it and got a lite strike. i took it back instead of just fixing it.. regret for years.

how much is an ex sniper mosin 9130 worth?

As much as any other mosin with maybe a bit more tacked on because of memes. Being an ex sniper could very well mean the gun got demoted due to loss of accuracy for example.

$350 too much for one?

Try more like $250. Anyone who tries to sell a Mosin for more than that is a straight up scammer. Alternatively, just go buy a Finn Mosin.

Just bought a No. 1 Mk. III that's still intact, all matching numbers with a non-matching sword bayonet that is in nearly perfect condition. Only problem is some fudd in the 1970's decided to parkerise all the metal parts, so they're grey instead of blue..... I know how to re-blu already but im not sure how to go about it with the parkerising on there.... I got it for $350 dollarydoos, how did I do? At least the bayonet is worth $200 easy.

>parked
Weren't Australian ones parkerized, at least partially?

Got some photos of my Arisaka today and some better ones of my P64.

>threads keep moving
because the nogunz retards that shit up these threads like to shitpost.

No, thats the going rate these days.

Half of it is clothing fags blind to all the guns.

The difference being that serial numbers don't grant you access to a bank account or so on.

But they do grant you access to the knowledge of a specific, existing firearm.

The Australians did Parkerize them.

Post pics, curious how it looks.

Didn't know Straya parked their Lithgows, must've been a rebuild at some point.

I do know Savage parked their No 4s during the Second World War.

the one im looking at is a czech one that looks like it has k98 furniture on it.
Thanks for the price range.

has it still got the lion?

sadly no, it appears to be scrubbed

I love posting food.

the park might be original, keep in mind they were being owned and arsenaled by pic related

Attached: australia.jpg (1252x892, 154K)

they parked them in the post ww2 rebuild programs. its not uncommon to find what look to be mint "unissued" australian lithgows because they were rearsenaled after the war and parked and put in new wood

turk is best non-german mauser

Attached: 4.jpg (2129x4143, 2.53M)

thats one of the best condition ones ive ever seen, but that wood looks way too smooth to be original late war. they didnt even have time to cut the stock blanks properly, they sure as shit didnt take the time to sand them perfectly smooth

wrong on many counts

Attached: m96.jpg (1280x760, 328K)

buy mine then. ive been trying to sell it for over a eyar

How about a Turk Lebel?

Damn, I'm out. Need to take more.

Bought a local 1917 Eddystone and slung some 30-06 today, it was a fucking beast.

>talking to the owner
>been in the family since grandad got it in the 1930's when NRA was handing them out.
>at some point a few decades ago rear sight ears get dented to shit so they tap/drill on a weaver rear sight to mount a scope
>they want two weaver mounts for a scope but they literally can't get the tap to break through the nickel steel in front of the action
>break their tap off trying to get it through, it's still stuck in there as a tribute to Pennsylvania steel work
>As the third generation guy and current owner is getting older, he shortens the front hand guard for less weight, but is too respectful to shorten the original barrel.
>meet him and as I'm buying it he says he wishes he had a son to pass it on to and I assure him I'm going to take good care of it and am already looking at original stocks to drop it into.
>Serial number has it being produced in January 1918 and then shipping out with some dough boys to stick the huns with Sergeant York.

Kinda sad taking a family heirloom, but on the other hand this gun's got some great history and 30-06 as much daka as I'm willing to shoot for long periods of time.

Attached: Eddystone.jpg (3264x1836, 1.14M)

So the cheap Yugo K98k replacement stock I bought ended up having Kriegsmarine cartouches. They're faint as hell, but they're definitely there.

Attached: Capture+_2018-07-20-20-43-03-1.png (693x648, 626K)

it could honestly look a lot worse but the cool thing about the 1917's are the peep sights they were built with. Anyway to remount a new set from like Liberty Tree or something?

ew

Seriously, in like the last month they've been shitting up these threads more than I've ever seen

Attached: 0523181259a-1.jpg (4160x1194, 1.19M)

this guy cooks, am i right?

eddystone made 1917s are notorious for their incredibly hard steel

Attached: this-guy-fucks.jpg (691x665, 44K)

says the guy who's willingly handing over documentation of his gun collection to the atf agents on Jow Forums

I'm thinking of at some point purchasing either mauser k98 or Springfield 03.

Is 8mm mauser easy to find, or should I stick with the .30-06? Also which rifle is generally cheaper?

Attached: 1200px-Kar_98K_-_AM.021488.jpg (1200x570, 103K)

Tough to find good used stock sets anymore. The missing ears make it difficult to restore.

As an aside, it holds six rounds in the magazine

I'm happy to hear that, at first I was skeptical talking with the guy but then I went to look and yep, there's a fucked up metal bit stuck as shit in the action where they tried to get in. Some fucking metal work there. Explains why the barrel is still kicking ass.

That’s a Berthier you MONG

Attached: CFB68F4C-B04F-4490-8B1B-74BE777AFBFC.jpg (362x380, 37K)

Depends if you care where the mauser is coming from. Also if you plan on shooting, the 1903 has literal fucking aids for sights.

Friendly warning from your local abused gun clinic

Enfield owners, please make sure the back of your forend stock touches the socket. If you can get a feeler gauge in there it is too wide. This is putting all the recoil stress on the front screw post and this little chunk of wood that acts as the recoil lug.

Failure to do so will result in some nasty splits as the front post acts as a wedge and the rear finally gives in to unsupported beatings. Recoil plates will not protect you from this if its not touching the socket.

If it does not touch simply shim it with something. An old credit card, a rubber pad, paper, anything is better than air.

1/2 Got a Beretta 1935 made in 1941 today. Shot pretty well, it sat in the sun for a bit and started oozing grease lol. I’ve now cleaned it up.

2/2 Apparently it was made for the Bulgarian forces fighting with Germany on the Ostfront.

Was looking at getting one of those, how do you like it? What did you pay?

Attached: P38_01.png (1120x530, 1.31M)

I paid $150 for it. That being said I’m in Canada so expect to pay a lot more. Up here these fall into a legal category which makes them completely unavailable to most gun owners.

Yea from what I've seen down here they cost around $300 or so.
That legal category thing sounds really convoluted, what makes them so special? Size?

Attached: P38_Holster Open.png (1090x600, 953K)

Forgot to mention, I like it a lot. It’s very well made. The safety is a bit goofy and the hammer bit me on my first mag through it but it’s all stuff you get used to.

Partially size, partially caliber and partially arbitrary. Anything with a barrel under 4.25” or in .25 or .32cals is considered a “prohibited handgun”. Licenses for these pistols haven’t been given out for over 20 years. Current owners can buy, sell and shoot them as normal however unless they are made before 1946, when the current owner dies they must be deactivated, destroyed, surrendered or sold to another individual with the same license. In effect, the number of people able to own them shrinks daily. If the pistol is made before 1946 it can be passed to the owners direct relatives who are then only able to posses it, not aquire pistols of the same classification through anyother way than inheritance. Luckily, inheritance of these can happen while the original license holder is still alive so I’m getting my grandpa to get me as much pre ‘46 shit as possible.

Can someone give me price ranges to look for so I don't get jewed at the gun show next weekend?
>Chilean Mauser
>Chilean-Boer Mauser

fug that's gorgeous.

Attached: thumbsupnose.jpg (235x221, 11K)

oi is that a Luxembourg contract?

>made for the Bulgarian forces fighting with Germany on the Ostfront.
That didn't happen. Maybe Bulgarians pulling occupational duties in Macedonia

Ironically I don't care about the historical provenance, other than the fact a rifle was used during the war, however, I'd rather not have a mauser that was carried by like the SS or people who actually physically carried out the atrocities, but I'm sure there would be no way to find that out, unless some rifles had sig runes engraved on the receiver or whatever.

T. Guy who doesn't know that much about milsurp

Thoughts on pic related? They seem like handy little rifles

Attached: Carbine_Berthier_M1916_(Swedish_Army_Museum).png (1200x640, 608K)

They are but the clips are rather pricey, as is the ammo if you don't reload. They also pack quite the punch to your shoulder.

But they are a lot of fun. I need a 5 rounder.

Where are good places to find surplus rifles for cheap and aren't mosin nagants? most places I seem to go to either have an endless supply of mosins and nothing but or if they do have shit it's always overpriced to shit, I'm not talking about like $50-$100 more which can be some what forgivable, I'm talking at least $200 more or even worse. Armslist for me has nothing but Mosins btw and anyone with any cool shit like a Turkish Mauser seem to be the faggots who sell the shit but never remove the post afterwards.

My 1946 M44 has somebody's name carved into it. I suspect its a Korean War bringback 'cause it doesn't have import markings.

>Waroy
that's a gook surname my dude but you're probably right

Hell I just paid $300 AUD ($220 USD) for an M44 here in bloody upside down land.

Well yeah the collar behind the trigger is marked "Lithgow SHT.LE III 1916" on a shield with an "A" above it surrounded by a star. But the buttstock has "1945" and a few other things stamped onto it, so it must be the rebuild / modernisation stamps. And sorry no pics because I met the guy in the store and can't just take it because

fml im finding a nice yank wife (or husbando)
here's the mosin i just bought though, it's still in the mail.

i am your pic so I wouldnt be surprised.

I think its W. A. Roy.
The periods dont show up well on my shit-tier phone.

what do yall use to clean your milsurp guns besides a boresnake and balistol

You guys are getting too excited over this. It’s an Egyptian one. And it’s one of the Egyptian ones where Century made a new stock and handguard for them because they had a bunch of NOS barreled actions.

That being said, the guy I bought it from said he owned it for a decade and never shot it, and I wouldnt be surprised if I was the first person to shoot it outside of factory test firing. It’s in incredible shape and it’s like a brand new rifle.

That Hyaku Shiki, tho

A rag and a spray bottle with a little water.

I have no fear of the government, just you autistic chuckle fucks.

I got it stupid cheap because a guy sanded it. He did a good job at least.

Nice, yours a '73?

>store wants $549 for this yugo

He said he'd be willing to talk it down if it's still there in a few weeks. Well yeah, it's been on the shelf for a while because no one is paying that much for a Yugo.

Also funny story, while I as in there talking to him, another guy came in with a Chinese SKS that his wife said he had to get rid of before she'd let him buy an AR. He didn't even haggle, just took the first price they gave him. Didn't even research ARs, just told the owner to give him a recommendation. The quick mag release on it was not original and didn't even work. Shop still gave him 250

That's not even that unusual of a price for a Yugo K98k anymore. Too bad about the stock being an indigenous replacement though: where they tend to be a bit chunkier like M48 stocks are, and lack the bolt disc.

>i have no fear of the government, just the citizens
lmfao, here let me go get my boot, it needs a good tongue polish

Wait, it's a k98? I thought it was an m48. Then again, I just browse here all day and hardly ever get to see thee guns in person until recently. So what do I know

Also, I guess "indigenous replacement stock" means it got bubba'd? :(

meant for
