Its a bit heavy but mostly because of the optic set up. Its definitely a lot of fun.not quite as soft shooting as the Scar but still very manageable. Only other bulpups I have shot are the tavor, rdb, and aug. Trigger wise its better than all of them. Only downside with this setup I really noticed when I took the suppressor out for the first time is that the suppressor contacts the extended handguard causing accuracy issues.

If you found a legit FN you'd be good to go. They're expensive though. If you're looking for a complete rifle I'd try to find an earlier SA58 from when DSA contracted LMT to make their receivers. Current DSA quality I still hear is hit or miss. If money is no object, look for a springfield armory SAR48 or SAR4800. If you're looking to do a build, I highly recommend grabbing an Imbel receiver. They're pricey but still worth it imo. Usually sell for about $600-700.

Base coat of your liking first and foremost, then use sponges and dab different colors on it to your heart's content. Then have a friend with a paint booth or something else to bake the metal pieces in so the finish is tougher.

Where in the hell are you seeing FAL kits for 2 grand? I see even STG58 kits going for 800 at the most. Imbels can still be had for 500 if you look.

2 layers of your rattlecan of choice, be it Krylon or Rustoleum for your base coat, then random sprays of your secondary color, then accents done through a mesh bag in random locations. Not the most elegant solution, but I've found that it looks better the less effort you put in.

Stick with same brand of ammo or find a bunch of different brands of M80 type ammo with similar pressure curves. I really like Partizan 147gr M80. Can usually get it online for less than 56c/rd and its rarely out of stock.
