You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like.

What the fug is that on the muzzle?

A monster condom

then why is there an a4

MILES you nerd

Because finding an A3 on google is surprisingly difficult. So pretend that there is an A1 trigger in there.

Training laser for blankfire training.

What the fuck are you going to do with an M16A3, shoot a destroyer with it? No one important has ever used the weapon.

>No one important has ever used the weapon
so salty

Sounds like something a bitch would say

... and an A2 upper

I would think a M14 probably holds the most functional design and that aesthetic tho.

Yes, it has its drawback but whatever - When I saw a M1A Loaded, I just had to get it and I'm now a proud owner of a nice rifle.

Specifically this I got - springfield-armory.com/products/m1a-loaded/#MA9222

Too heavy and inaccurate and slow firing
but man its sexier than all hell

False. A3's have Picatinny rails with detachable A2 rear sights like the A4

>the most functional design
pretty questionable
the Garand style action loves grease even more than the Stoner design likes oil
pretty picky machines all told, great for 1936 but kind of shit anytime past 1950

um what. an a3 is not an a4

the a5 masterrace will nigger you

Bruh, I'm telling you the A3's had detachable shit for their upper's. They probably just swapped out the old A2 upper's with an M4 upper from big brother.

No, the A3 was just an A2 with a full auto trigger. Only the A4 had the upper with a 1913 rail.

I think you won the fuddiest post award. Be sure to collect your prize on the way out.

so if i had an original m16 a1 lower and upgraded it with all m4 parts but the lower is it still an m16 a1?
this

Huh huh, gotta go fast

>that aesthetic tho.
Imo it's a really ugly gun, I don't see the aesthetic appeal.

The gun is sexy, but most likely the worst rifle ever fielded by american, once it became a rich country. It had a 5 yr life for a reason. And look up the story of how it was even made. We should have had the FN FAL, but a bureaucrat fucked over our country. The only positive thing was, it was soooo fucking bad, we had to quickly leapfrog everyone in small arms tech and made the M16

Jesus Christ we are not building a fucking rocket ship.
>They start out as complete A2 rifles
>They swap out the A2 trigger assembly with an A1 trigger assembly
>Then they would take an M4 upper and mate it with an M16 barrel and midlength gas system
>put em together and #woa #woa you gotta gat dat goes rattatatat

I swear the next major advancement in firearms technology will be device management. Look at all that shit bolted onto that rifle. There's got to be a way to streamline that shit while maintaning functionality.

I hope your anus prolapses

Yes, I know it has many drawbacks but I think it's the epitome of what makes a battle rifle awesome.

I think it's more aesthetic than perhaps the best functional battle rifle. There's just something sexy about a solid wood + steel platform. It might not be the best but if I had to pick a more accurate rifle, it would've got to be the M40 during the Vietnam era. That also had a clean look which I do like a lot.

I guess these things just makes me smile and content... I guess it's just my thing.

No doubt there are more suitable rifles out there for combat and all. It's what it's doing for me that makes my opinion just that - an opinion.

the svt 40, cetme, bm59, and some fals were wood and steel

>BFA
>peak performance

okay

wrong

A3's are A2's with the safe, semi, auto group

some were later changed with A4 uppers, but they didn't start out this way

hello there.
