Early 2000s there were hundreds of them. Future weapons, mail call, some other random ass show about instruments of violence. Then it all suddenly stopped. Almost as though it was mandated.
I have it theory about that
after 9/11 people started getting interested in weapons to defend themselves and thus an influx in these weapon related shows were released but after some time the fear died down

Try again. The demand is still there. Look at Youtube. Even with the censorship gun vids get millions of views regularly on bigger channels. It was a politically-motivated censoring. Not even a Jow Forumsnigger but seeing how the left is now with censoring things they don't like it's sort of obvious that this was done as an early step in the direction we're seeing everywhere now.
