Carried a Kershaw folder in my pocket for two years now. I'm sure I can do a lot better but for the price it's amazing.

OP here, all jokes aside, I have some older Kershaw I love, and I picked this one up recently, and the steel hardness seems to be a joke, it loses its edge so fucking fast.
Also at work so no fun for me.

There's no point in carrying an expensive knife every day, especially a folder, unless you are overcompensating for something.

Literally no one has ever remarked on the knife, other than some of my hunting/fishing buddies, who mostly all own comparably expensive knives. This is also Oregon, where Benchmade is particularly popular. A knife is the dumbest "status symbol" ever, no one fucking cares, or generally even notices it.

Also I owned a cheaper Kershaw leek before my Benchmade. The liner-lock/assist mechanism literally crumbled into pieces, under moderate use. I decided to buy a better knife, and have had no issues since. Paying 3x as much for a knife that's lasted at least 8x as long, doesn't seem like a bad deal.

Top: $45 edc for over 10 years. Was perfect in every way

Bottom: $120 and its fat as shit and the clip scratched up the leather in my car's seat and I miss the spring assist of the SOG, and this one has a weird blade angle I'm too retarded to want to sharpen myself

the only reason I replaced the SOG was I broke the clip sitting in a weird chair, and despite 4 attempts to order a free replacement from their site, like I had before, they never sent one. The local Cabela's which normally stocks them said they stopped receiving them. So I used that as an excuse to "upgrade"

I got the same for $17 on Amazon during a sale. I like it better than my father's $70+ "real profeshunol" knife. It just does exactly what I want it to and it holds up to any reasonable use.

This is my EDC knife, it's really nice. I've invested tens of thousands on my larping gear, I figured it was money well spent to have some nice kit that I actually carry every day.

I've got the SAK Manager on my keychain. Use it pretty regularly for light duty stuff. mainly use the knife blade, the scissors and the screwdriver, but the pen has come in handy a few times

This is my camp knife, and the one I carry, but left at work is a "Ken Onion Blackout" I believe.

For camping, I'd say a big chopper isn't really needed, but it's a heck of a good one, and pretty fun to have
