Fug it, posting this here: M200 revolver, yay or nay? I know it being 200 something dollars with .38 special won’t be some sort of god gun, I’m just looking for a nice little plinker/range toy to break me into the world of wheel gats. Also did Taurus get their shit together in terms of quality yet?
>beretta slathered in dirt
>beautiful
Have a P2000 full-size in v3. Considering replacing it with a P30sk v1, since I want the new trigger and prefer the P30 mag release. Is this a bad idea?
>border marshal
Did they make one called "Air Patrol" too?
Idk about the m200. I ended up getting an sr38 made by sarsilmaz. Not too many reviews on it. Basically a turk copy of a s&w 586. I'd buy that before I'd get an m200. Snagged mine for about 450 although at that point you might as well save up for a gp100 or something similar.
Beretta a big dumb
Reportan
Shoot small miss small amirite fellow 30yo boomers
No hk, you must get a breadah m9 in call of duty colors and jerk off on it.
R u trying to bait me
Give me that fucking p2000
I’m just looking for something a little poorfaggy to get into revolvers with, a .357 would be nice but $400-500 is a different tune than $200, and at that point I’d might as well just save up some extra dough for a gp100. Everything I’ve seen about the M200 paints it as a pretty good gat at its price tag, figured if I don’t like revolvers much a $200 .38 wouldn’t be much to cry about.
kek
Muh nig
Very much so, the P30 trigger sucks.
How you liking that boi user?
>finally dragged my ass down to my local PD to get my gun permit(s)
>everything all filled out, now I'm just waiting for the 23rd of this month (have to schedule an appointment) to go sit down with the firearms guy and complete the paperwork.
That said I'm in New Jersey so thanks to their commie fucking laws I'm restricted to 10 round magazine capacity. Should I just get a sub-compact of some sort instead of a full sized since I'm limited by mag count anyway. I intend to have this gun in my bedside drawer. I was looking at the H&K VP9-SK (pic related)

I'd say get the m200 then, if you like it you can get a nice 357 or 44mag later on.
one thing I've learned with revolvers in particular is that you really get what you pay for. you can get an M200 for $200-something, yeah, but you can also get a well-used S&W Mod. 10 for around that as well and it'll be a much better gun. some of the cheaper revolvers (EAA Windicator, Taurus, Rossi, etc) are occasionally built beefy enough but the quality control is just hot garbage. had a windicator that would stop functioning if you tightened the grip screw because it would interfere with the mainspring plunger, and I've seen too many reports of tauruses blowing up.
get the model 10, it's proven, it works, it's built like a tank and it's well customizable to your tastes and easy to smooth the trigger out on it if you so desire. it'll outlast you and retain its value pretty well. if you find a different old S&W 38 (victory, 64, 13, whatever) and you prefer that then go for it, the model 10 is just by far the most common but any used K frame 38 will serve you well
vp9sk is great. I would handle it and the p30sk, and pick the one you like more. Can't go wrong with either.
>beretta
SCUUUUUUUUUUUM GAAAAAAAAAANG
TREWAY
well you have two options when it comes to mag limits; use a more compact gun because there's no incentive to move up to full size, OR switch to a much beefier cartridge. IE carrying a single stack in something obnoxious (.460, .50AE, or even 10mm) would be impractical in most scenarios but if you have a hard cap on your magazine size then at that point it's more punch per magazine
Anyone have a Lionheart LH9c, the compact model? It’s a unicorn in terms of renting one and trying it out, just wanted to know what kind of recoil impulse it has.
It’s either that or a decocker P30sk
Yea I've heard great things about both the SK and non SK variant of the VP9.
If there was a reliable 1911 in .45 ACP that wasn't minimum $600 I'd be all over it. I mean If I really wanted I could get a 5-6 shot revolver in .357 magnum or something stupid. But in the EXCEEDINGLY rare situation that I'd have to use my gun for self-defense, I don't want to completely over penetrate and kill my neighbor.
I love my 92S. I built a Glock 17 but I'll buy a factory new M9 for open carry because I like Beretta so much better
Spaget
That’s pretty much my thought process.
I knew this would come up, although it pains me to say it so far I’ve had no luck finding anything within that range on the used market, all I could find is either a picture of the thing that is sold out or a piece that’s really overpriced for what it is. The Model 10 was actually one of my first choices, but as I said it and a few other models were all no dice. For what it’s worth the M200 is also Rock Island Armory, so we can filter out Taurus/nu Remington tier quality control, and everything about the M200 seems to look pretty solid minus the grips not looking good.
Black gloss cerakoted 1911. Rail or no rail? RMR or no RMR? It'll have threaded barrel for silencer fun.
>1911
post your glock already
>stop liking what I don't like
Don't you know? Anything not a glock or hk makes you a 30 year old boomer
Beretta 92, now THAT was a pistol
I love spaghet
Who says 10mm is impractical, people carry 1911s
>12 colors
>TWELVE COLORS
you'll find just about any cartridge will have an option for it that is tuned to fall within the FBI penetration standards and not overpenetrate - obviously, the more powerful the cartridge, the greater the potential for overpenetration, but even in .357 and 10mm there are plenty of choices for good defensive-purpose ammunition that penetrate in the range of 12-16". a well designed bullet for the purpose of self defense will not be ripping through three people in a row, regardless of energy; they are designed to dump all of their energy into the first soft target they impact. if you're open to revolvers, I think .327, .38, and .357 are all very viable options - I was recently looking at the 6-shot .327 SP101 and was intrigued by the potential of the firearm relative to its size. but you can have relatively compact options with a lot of power as well; the glock 29 comes to mind though I don't know how their chamber support issues are in the latest generations.
you just gotta know where to look my good dude. got a model 10-10 at Surplus City in philadelphia for $240 in breddy decent shape myself, but gunbroker is a very viable option if you have a local FFL thats not outrageous.
they're out there. watch gunbroker. set search to ending with 24h, no reserve, max price 300, and check once a day.
is that an appendix carry rig running a G40 with optics? that is dope, how does it work out for you?
i don't believe 10mm is impractical at all, just a situational cartridge. IE I have a Glock 21 converted with a 10mm barrel and I use that as my woods carry for dealing with bears and have recently been pining for a G29. but I was more referring to single stack 10mms like the 1911 platform and others
Here's my SBH Bisley with some walnut grips. Getting an oxblood OC holster from simplyrugged for when I go camping
Go the full tactical gamer just to piss of the traditionalists
what grips are those user? I've seen them around a lot but haven't been able to place them. Are they VZ?
Berettafag reporting
racist
Pls be nice to me.
Definitely the VP9sk is a great choice and you can get full size 10 round mags with mag sleeves to get a full size grip at the range.
>basepad extends a full inch past grip
I count six colors, that literal rainbow Block actually has fewer colors than the FN baby-diaper.
That's what extendos do.
you're not making it easy pal
>extendos
By this time a rifle is long overdue
Does that bother you
I thought it would be cool to make weeb, but nice weeb, grips. Like to make lacquered grips and shit with some kind of image like cherry blossoms. I'm asian so it's ok and not full weeb.
>Plus 2
Stendos do that.
I just want everyone to get along :(
Beretta gang
doesn't bother me just think it looks incredibly goofy and kind of like you ran out of stupid "mods" to do like that tactical toolbox douche pic related don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe
Top notch
Was ringing my spinny target all day today
>"Mods"
They are included with the model I bought.
just talking about stendos in general, i get it with yours was thinking of getting the tactarded P10c with tb and it has one too
Do Sig 220s in .45 ACP have any significant problems? There's one in pretty rough condition for $380 near me but am not sure if its something that would be wise to buy.
i mean it's a single stack .45 so it's not so much "does it have problems" as much as "why am I buying this".
No they're good to go in general
A rifle?
In the poop?
Won't quite fit.
I'm jelly, how much was it and where to find ammo?
Owned one, didn't like. Go P30SK
Spit on it and try again.
I TOLD YOU
DID I NOT TELL YOU
I WARNED YOU ALL
Lmao
Get better eyes Bort.
What holster?
t. poor eyes
Needing brighter lights to see is a sign of degenerating vision, if anything, not requiring over 9000 lumens means Bartholomew has better eyes than most of /hg/
Also, extendos are the big gay.
>TLR-1
>The highpoint of Walther
Kek, the Creed's trigger is actually pretty good tho.
Spare me the justification post
Do I need to dig through the archive to find my post from 6 months ago so that you can see me call you a retard again?
i'm wet
gotta admit, that looks sharp as fuck user.
I think the APX is the best looking polymer striker fired pistol
I can't wait to get my hands on the Centurion Model
Bit of a question about .40 to 9mm conversion.
If the frames are the same size can I simply use the same slide and put a 9mm barrel in the handgun, or do I need to get a 9mm slide as well?
I'm torn between getting that guy and the USP compact in 9mm.
I want something that's built like a tank and good for concealed carry and home defense. The P30sk looks like more my speed and the $200 cheaper doesn't hurt either
Unless you're springing for the compact because you intend to carry I would get the full size. The USP's biggest feature was it's recoil reduction, and the compact doesn't have it.
Still a fantastic firearm, but the compact uses a plastic counterweight instead of the double spring, it's not the same feel.
>bright lights will blind you!
>needing bright lights is a sign of being blind!
hmmmmm I might end up doing the P30sk for now then and eventually save up for the USP
Good plan
Is that one of them there small frame .308’s? If so how many rounds? Had any problems?
Those are not mutually exclusive, nice try
>Bolo
Im on a budget but am getting a job with a security contacter. Pay is monthly but their standard issue is a PT11 and I have $700 to my name right now
Should I buy a PPQ or a Creed?
It depends on the gun. Some manufacturers use identical dimensions shared between 9mm and .40, and some do not. I'd say most do not.
tl;dr Sometimes all you have to do is put a 9mm barrel in a .40 gun.
Rounds?
Like shot?
lol I don't shoot my guns.
You should not imo. Save more. General rule of thumb is 6 months paychecks saved in the bank before fun stuff.
Id rather get it now because im literally trusting my life to it if necessary. PT110 doesnt cut it for me and I can live for a little while if I break the bank being in the same area as my folks
what revolver is that?
>pay is monthly
Get a different job.
Every time.
I wish non-Wilson brigadiers would show up for once.
$41 an hour no experience required
Im currently working $11 an hour
>
Shit son. I just hope you don't get fucked. Nowhere that issues goddamn Taurus and pays monthly can be good news.
kys

Just got it back from Wilson's
I've got 3 friends in security, none of them are allowed to be armed and none of them have even had a confrontation let alone a life threatening fight.
You'll live 2-3 months while you save. They're giving you a gun already, it's fine.
