>tfw you realize the next time we get into an actual war with a competent military the F-35 is going to get shoved down the USAF's throat regardless of practicality or reliability resulting in probably hundreds if not thousands of unnecessary casualties.

Air superiority is all that matters. You could argue that the F-35 won't be able to carry it's own weight, but at the end of the day all that matters is that it's better than what the other guys have.

As it stands, the only folks I'd be afraid of would be China and Russia, and probably China more-so since they'll be more apt to copy the F-35 than anything.

I mean it's hard to have air superiority when your plane can barely fly through minor turbulence. Also Turkey is becoming a strong contender when it comes to aircraft development.

If the F-35 could be shit out in big enough numbers that we could lose a thousand of them, that would give them a niche that no other modern aircraft in our arsenal has: mass productability like the fighters of the 40s.

I'm exaggerating the numbers obviously but it's still going to lead to a shit ton of unnecessary casualties.

Good description of the A-10, OP. The F-35 is currently the best fighter jet in the world and will remain so for several decades.

>Unironically thinking that development restrictions imposed on the F-35 for safety showcase its actual capabilities.

How much did the brass pay you to shill their paper airplane?

It's just common sense and knowledge of modern air combat. No one that has a few brain cells and understanding of modern air combat thinks otherwise.

people still believe in wunderwaffen these days?

Be quiet you cringy fuck. Go masturbate to your shitty F-14 model kit.

You heard it here first folks, the best jet in the world cant fly through a mild thunderstorm (something fighters in the fucking 1930's could do) and also cannot accurately engage ground targets. Riveting stuff.

Where are you even getting these things from?

This is information that has been talked about since testing began

Again OP, why do you post bait? Everyone knows you are wrong.

You are right, the F-22 might still be a bit better

Most modern jets has had similar issues during development. Its nothing exclusive to the F-35

>plane cant even preform well in combat testing
>yup, it's perfect, totally ready for combat!
Does the USAF have a gun to your head or are you actually retarded?

Yes but most modern jets improved their designs to work better while the designers of the F-35 are polishing a turd.

I'm starting to wonder if you actually have a few missing says. What part of this post: failed you? The F-35 performed quite well at the Red Flag exercises it went too racking up excellent kill/death ratio so not sure what you're talking about. Talking straight out of your ass perhaps? Using The Drive Warzone as a source perhaps?

You realize there are videos of F-35s landing on carriers in tropical storms right?
The storm thing is just safety clearances for peacetime and it's true of other military aircraft as well.
The accuracy thing is well overblown (by these standards the US had no aircraft that could accurately engage ground targets 10 years ago) and won't matter in about 2-3 years when the eots gets upgraded.

Soo... what you are saying is that most jets were improved to get rid of the issues, but improving the F-35 to get rid of the same issues is a totally different thing?

Pierre Sprey, you are drunk.

The f-35 has made no improvements, they just keep slapping shitty gimmicks into it like the touch screen that's extremely impractical. The F-35 is a dumb meme plane that fails at everything it set out to do.

Probably not. Thanks to the F-35's passive IR sensors, EW suite, and stealth improved from the F-22 technology it is likely the F-35 would come out the winner against F-22s.

Are you legitimatly drunk? They have fixed a shitton of issues on the F-35, like on all othe planes invented. Also, both that gun and thunderstorm meme-tier article you posted are solved these days.

Lmao is that you Pierre Sprey? You're literally speaking like him. Also, the Super Hornet Block III will have a touchscreen I guess it's also gonna be shit just because of that fact alone.

No but it will be an unnecessary impractical feature that exists only to look cool and futuristic.

No nigga. It's actually much more practical than display screens like the F-16 or FA-18 has. The pilot can re-arrange his screen to access whatever information he needs, without having to use buttons. It's basically the difference between a flip phone and an iPhone.

t. never been in a fighterjet

Yeah man you know what's a great idea? Basically playing with an iPad while going mach 3

Better than playing with a flip phone. You anti F-35 retards make such weak arguments that my average intelligence can easily debunk your shit in a second.

Most of a pilots time is spent flying in straight lines at 1g, unless the pilot finds an iPad too mentally strenuous to use during commercial flights I think they will be fine.
During maneuvers the pilot just uses the controls on the HOTAS, but you don't know what that is do you?

Red Flags are made to make one side look better, an example is Millennium Challenge 2002.

This guy is trying to create a Jow Forums meme singularity.

You can't compare Red Flag to Millenium Challenge. Not how air power works. You can't effectively use "guerilla tactics" to gain air superiority against the most advanced jets in the world.

>"requires modifications for lightning protection and these modifications have not yet been completed on the two visiting Australian aircraft. As safety is Air Force's priority, the aircraft will not fly in conditions where lightning is present. Prior to return to Australia, the Australian F-35A will be modified with lightning protection"
You want to read the sources you post or something?

>muh wunderwaffen

You're talking about the military that annihilated one of the largest armies in the world in a month, with a 166:1 kd ratio because they were ahead of the curve with tech like stealth, EMC and IRNV.

>thousands of unnecessary casualties

To be fair, the step from first to second is pretty huge, same goes for second to third etc. So while beeing one of the largest militaries in the world, they were still tiny compared to the US.

Also tactical airlifters stocked to the brim with SEAD and AIM.
