Bob Semple

>2018
>still hasn't taken the Semple-pill

On second thought, I think Lee looks worse.

shit taste

Eew why does it look so bubbly

Yeah it looks weird, I didn't know tanks could get autism

The Maus.

gross i wouldn't fuck these tanks and carry their child

>Flaccid

It's the cast hull.

cast hulls do have an advantage over welds
they can be made into wacky shapes that reduce the chances of a perpendicular hit

the US introduced the cast hull originally to replace riveted armor
but later switched to welded armor to speed up production
the turrets have always remained cast though, a welded hexagonal turret was proposed but it looked stupid

cast hulls were actually a technical marvel
which is why its Australian cousin over here is noteworthy as well
most countries didnt have the technology to cast such a large object, much less do it industrial scale

My vote has to go to the American inter-war all-machine gun tanks. I get the idea of having a tank with just machine guns in the turret, but without a turret you're left with an aborted porcupine fetus on tracks.

Also shoutout to the KV-4 proposals. I'm not sure why, but they all looked fairly strange. The Fedorenko proposal is definitely the weirdest in my opinion.

I see dead penis...

It doesn't look bad though.

Reason why US did this was so they could more easily make inflatable fakes. Some historians estimate up to 90% M4A1's we see in photos are these inflatable fakes.

I agree.

I've never heard of this fuddlore before

>cast hulls were actually a technical marvel
Luty SMG's were a fucking technical marvel as well, but you don't see the majority of Jow Forums lining up to get their hands on the Do/k/ument so that they can make it, do you.
The Sherman was good. Probably even great, given the time period and what the fuck was going on. That doesn't make it any more beautiful.

that's because it's a fucking joke

No shit retard

Thats the most obnoxious bullshit Ive ever heard
gtfo

This ugly american POS

another joke regarding inflatable tanks was that they used them to fool the germans into thinking that D-day was going to happen at calais

so a german prisoner in the UK managed to see the dummy tanks
he witnessed 4 americans grab each corner of the tank and lift the whole thing

upon returning to germany, they questioned him about what he saw in the UK
all he could say was "the americans are very strong"

I've never understood this. How can someone design such an utterly aesthetic turret, and then fuck up the hull design so fucking badly? Just why? Why would you do that?

The Bob Semple is a meme and you know it.

I don’t hate Russian MBTs, it’s just that they look so similar and boring to me

How do they look like without reactive armors?

Attached: X3epOS2.jpg (2560x1533, 1.29M)

Probably because aesthetics won't stop HEAT and APFSDS from fucking your day, chucklenuts

At least you died in style.

no taste

Matilda 1 looks like it wasn't even finished.

That's a Pak43/L71 on this thing

you'd think by the look of it that it would be fairly nippy, but nah, shit was slow af because it was h e a v y

Google T-72A. They look nice and smooth with cast turrets.

>oi, you got a loicence for them fenders?

this thing

probably because i never learned how to use the sight in RO1

Attached: kv2.jpg (800x600, 50K)

this looks like somebody wanted to improve the KV-1, but somehow managed to drink a whole bottle of vodka while drawing it

>probably because i never learned how to use the sight in RO1
from memory: set sight first to 300-400-500 meters depending on map(most likely engagement distance); when meeting enemy guestimate adjust range by target size; take aim and ranging shot, adjust accordingly

>ranging shot a fucking 152mm gun

heh

oh right, that thing don't even have coaxial machine gun for estimation

let hand of Stalin guide yuor shot comrade)))))

I never figured out which part was the reticle. I'd dead reckon the range like I would on the T34/85 and fire, but I think I always aimed it way too high.

f u c k i n g w h a t ?

jesus christ, ouch

Disgusting!

The idea was to reduce the cost of driving on roads, up the speed, and save wear on the gears etc. Stopped making sense once the total weight got past what the roads could take

That's a big tank.
