Canada has a new kid on the block

Canada has a new kid on the block.
100% Canadian made AR-180B clone, called the WK-180C.

Basically our laws restrict us from using AR-15s inna woods, inna hunting, or inna country place -- just at dedicated ranges, so for years weve been looking at AR alternatives.

Well this is one of the new ones thats arrived this year.

Upper and lower are billet aluminium. No stamped steel.

Takes AR triggers groups, barrels and handguards. Adaptor allows AR buffer/stocks, but folding stocks will be available.

Shoots 1.5 MOA with match ammo.

Ambidextrous, charging handle can easily be moved side to side.

Only downside right now, is see through design. A rubber curtain is being worked on (a la SIG 550)

And the best part for us Canucks -- its only 1100 maplebucks.

Codenamed The Dog by the distributors.

Say something nice about this pup Jow Forums

5 round magazine

Neat
The AR180 is solid.

30 round mags pinned to 5 with a 2 cent rivet ;)

Can be 'adapted' as soon as necessary.

Also, we have 10-round LAR pistol mags so thats not bad.

I just want a classic 180 available in America...but this would be a decent alternative if it were possible and not over a grand.

Needs a longer handguard or shorter barrel, it looks fucked up as is.

And if your LAR was in .458 Socom, a 10 rounder would fit way more than 10 rounds of 5.56...

No you don't, i've owned one and they're flimsy as fuck and easily breakable.

>The AR180 is solid.
It really isn't, when you field strip it there is an unobtanium part that will easily get in the way of reassembly and absolutely will bust off.

Neat concept but junk execution.

>but muh Costa Mesa
>muh Howa
>Muh Sterling
They were poorly designed, that's it. That's why everyone else adapted the design into something that won't fall apart.

looks pretty neato. congrats Canada bros! very happy to see you guys getting some options.
p.s. - if theres ever another war of 1812. i want us burgers and leafs to be allies, no matter what. us/canada bff

18inch minimum length to keep it NR over there

Don’t be salty because you fucked up your AR180 by not properly assembling it.

18.5" actually. God I wish we could just go 16" for NR

Then it should get a 16" handguard or something.

cuck

cuck

Kill yourself yuke scum.

>canada
To your containment board fuckstick All foreigner must go there.

>xboxhuge DMR length barrel
>shitty 6 MOA red dot
yikes

Be coherent with the application at least.

i never broke mine but i can see how easy it was to fuck it up.

>long barrel
>trash red dot
>no irons
>receiver looks garage made
>fake mlok?
What is this trash?

Fpbp

I love how they try to pass off aluminum instead of steel as a pro. It was done because the broke hosers couldn't get their act together and stamp something proper.

Comes with built in pop tart holder.
Although I wish they didn’t put the slot for the pop tart directly behind the bolt. Poptarts don’t stay in one piece very long.

10+10+1
Better than nothing.

Notice this gun isn't using the same flimsy stampings, and is instead made from aluminum.

Needs an 18.5" barrel to not be Restricted just like the AR

Set it up with some MagPul MOE furniture in foliage green, and I think it would look pretty neat.

Made in my home town of Windsor. And I never thought we'd contribute anything.

Wouldn't get too far ahead of yourself there, Chief

Yes I got that part thank you, my point is "be coherent with the application", for instance put a fucking scope on it. A gun over 3 feet long won't be used for "red dot distances".

Machining aluminum is easier and cheaper than stamping steel, and it'll hold up just as fine, if not better than the maybe kind of flimsy construction of the original AR18 rifles.

Jesus that looks chintzy as fuck

How new to guns are you?

>if a gun is 36" long you can't use it for sub 300m

Whatever retard, have fun with your red dot DMR.
You won't even need to lift weights to hold it steady considering you can only fit 5 rounds in the pinned mags.

Not him, but what the fuck? Do you truly feel a need to direct your impotent rage towards a friendly user on a north korean insect collecting forum?

Eat my ass faggot

If you use an Ar-15 for hunting you're an idiot anyway.
Or at the very least you have no taste.

How heavy is the barrel?

Just takes some getting used to.

I'm sure there are guys who are into that out there. Good luck user.

>got shit talked in the Canada general
>started another thread hoping people would find it less ugly and stupid elsewhere

Somebody should deck one of these out in block 3 shit lol

Could I cut the buffer tube threads off an AR lower and use to that as a lower for this gun?

>Neat concept but junk execution.
i own two and i mostly agree.
>They were poorly designed
i agree and disagree. low cost and ease of production were kind of the point, which they achevied. it definitely could have been better in certain areas though, it feels like a fragile rifle

I was checking these out the other day. Other than the lack of dust cover it seems like a solid design.

It's fucking hideous and I would have preferred just a straight up AR-180 clone

You've come to the right board, sodomite

Lol, can't wait for it to get banned in a few years

Yes.
Don’t tell the horse cops though

hear hear

Why's the lower so ugly?
