Outdoors/Camping Thread

You take your weapons with you when you hike or overnight, right? Not really a STALKER challenge thread per say. Just looking for some cool Jow Forums camping setups and gats.

I usually bring my S&W Model 28 out. My state doesn't have many grizzlies and I figure .357 is more than enough for coyotes n shit.

Whoever is responsible for that pistol should beat themselves to death with it.

I unironically bring a Mossberg Memewave 12g, small but should do the trick for predators, tweakers and apes.

I always take a gun. I typically like to mix up what gun I take but usually my rifle is an AR or SKS or my 74.

Times that i am doing long hikes, I take my sidearm. I live in the south sl big bores arent really needed. Pic related was from this weekend actually

Hell, I take one for short afternoon hikes

Not visible in the pic is a Taurus judge loaded with Winchester PDX1 Defender ammo tucked under my pillow, and a 12guage pump loaded with 00Buck under the inside edge of the sleeping bag.

I always have SOMETHING with me. Usually I bring something for fun and something for defense.

Whats wong with it?

Do you people who hike with rifles just like do it on your own property or on a friends'? Like I live in AZ and I've never seen anyone just hiking with a rifle. Quite a few open carry pistols though

Those are rifles, dipshit

Hiking with a rifle is just being a tryhard imo. When I am wandering around with my rifle in the woods, its typically for hunting or larping.

I see you are also a man of class.

>hueh I dont actually read people posts and reply hastily

Chinkshit as well?

My /out/ load outs:
>remote wilderness with spooky bois
Hip or appendix carry IWB Glock 40 MOS with gucci accessories
>glamping
.38 J frame

It’s just people larping on the internet. I haven’t seen a single non hunter carrying a long gun when /out/. It’s kind of stupid desu unless you’re expecting an encounter with methbillies or grizzlies. Taking a battle rifle camping is impractical as hell and makes you look like an autist.

Larping mostly, it, makes hiking more fun. If I want to be practical or im going with normie friends I just bring my makarov.
>t. fun police

where the fuck is that

Depends.
When on hikes on popular trails with lots of city folk and weekend lumberjacks?
sidearm usually CC'd under the jacket but sometime OC
when out in the woods around no one in bear country? rifle. always a rifle.

Thats for hiking. camping usually always a rifle but depending on if its with a group of no-guns or in a fairly popular camping area/spot then handgun typically.

>"Taking a battle rifle camping is impractical as hell and makes you look like an autist"
This is technically true, but so does posting on Jow Forums.

^This cat knows whats up. It's just fun once in a while. I suppose your rifles only ever see the inside of a safe, rifle bag, and indoor shooting range? NRA needs to establish an ASPCA type wing to protect neglected and mistreated firearms like yours user.
