Lynx KF41

Absolutely mint. Despite the name, it's a new design rather than a build on from the previous Lynx KF38. Currently in bidding to replace current IFVs in Australia, Czech Republic and the United States.

>bidding to replace current IFVs in Czech Republic
nah, we're getting ASCODs
the trials are just something for army to do while lobbyists and politicians are busy planning out their new mansions

That coaxial.

Looks like they are copying Chinese.

It looks decent enough but nothing stands out as revolutionary or new, its just a conservative evolution of NATO IFVs. It occupies an odd weight and protection level as well, it can't withstand a T-55 or older ATGMs but weighs as much as a T-72.

It looks like a taller CV90.

Exactly what makes it better then say a CV9035 Mk IV?

Who else is competing for Land 400?

What in your opinion would be "revolutionary" instead of conservative evolution.
Also, damn, up to 50 tons at this point you might as well make IFV out of tank hull

its german

Does it use CLARA and AMAP-ADS?

Lynx is refubrished Marder.

I assume different operational requirements. Same way a Bradley and CV90 are different since Bradleys were intended to support and shadow Abrams while CV90 is basically a fire support vehicle for infantry incase another IFV/APC shows up.

But there's no fucking point in these. Just fucking retrofit a bunch of M1A1 Abrams with diesel drivetrains, a Bradley turret and figure out how to have a troop compartment.

Or buy Merkavas.

It's just too heavy for what it is.

The 38 is.

Based

>50 tons IFV

Why? Those slap some cage armor or ERA on a 30 tons IFV.

APS for every fighting vehicle would be revolutionary.

>it can't withstand a T-55 or older ATGMs

Any proof on that?

If the customer wants it, yes.

>Any proof on that?
It's in the advertisements, protection against autocannons only. There's plenty of pictures of the armor as well, it has 30mm or 40mm at best. It just occupies a very awkward weight range, heavier than bradleys or BMP-3 but too heavy to swim or easily be transported. Despite it's weight protection is likely well behind namer and t-15. It's ideal use is probably fighting insurgents with RPG-7s and zsu-23 technicals, it's largely immune to those unlike older IFVs, but against a proper military it seems questionable.

How does it compare to the Puma?

Why is it not mandatory at this point? I am pretty sure that both Russia and Ukraine out of all countries have plans to install their versions of ADS on IFV

Because its fucking expensive and most opponents only have a few ATGMs per battalion even to this day

Really shouldn't have gone with the smooth sided cheap movie prop look.

Its passenger compartment was designed for people taller than 6 foot (184cm).
