Are they ever going to be used again in an actual war?

yes
According to American logic, it is being used everyday.
Yes, but not by a major power.
I want a major power to launch hundreds of missiles at another major power, also in possession of hundreds of missiles. Is my fantasy to forever remain a fantasy?
Yes forever a fantasy, and we're glad you will never be allowed near them.

Yes, in the last war.
India and Pakistan will use them on eachother, or Isreal will attempt the Samson option at some point.

There's a possibility but every country with nuclear middles just talks big. No one is stupid enough to actually send the world into nuclear hellfire. I hope it happens in my life time though. I hope someone is retarded enough to nuke the world. Fallout irl will be great
Who, rotten apples?
Technically, they're always in use and are planned to be used whenever a nuclear power government/administration asks for option of strike package(s).
I don't get it, the British follow the same logic. So why do you post that?
>There's a possibility but every country with nuclear middles just talks big. No one is stupid enough to actually send the world into nuclear hellfire.
A possibility, but not a credible one. The world will not turn into a nuclear hellfire or fallout if realistic nuclear warfighting is applied.
Nope, nukes have too much of a "doomsday weapon" stigma nowadays, so no one will ever think of using one even in a situation where it would have made tactical sense. Every civilized nation in the world would lynch you.
>so no one will ever think of using one even in a situation where it would have made tactical sense
Is that why we're a major investments in low yied / tactical / substrategic weapons then?
>we're a major
***We're seeing major
God I hope so...
KEK Almighty make it so...
It seems pretty swell established that no one is going to be flinging nukes at each other due to the deterrence that is the possibility of getting nuked as well, so why even have nukes? Do we have nukes? We have had a confirmed nuclear testing in ages iirc so what if we actually don't have nukes?
Or am I just stupid?

the last war, yeah. it's overdue tbhwy.
It's well established amoungst those who don't know any better - however, in the realm of reality, your willingness to deploy (fire) your weapons is one of several key factors in having a *credible* deterrence.
