It is it just doesn't look like that anymore.

These are popular in Canada now. 3000 preorders already went out.

100% Canuck made. Milled alumminium. Takes AR barrels and triggers.

Honestly if you want an AR-18, get an ACR

Wasn’t adopted by the US like the 15.

Becaise the scar g36 k2 and many others kinda copied its design and took its spot in he world

It was supposed to be a lower-cost alternative to the 15 for developing countries, but that ended up not mattering because the US handed out free military aid like candy to any country willing to sign on to their side in the Cold War. As prices go, it's hard to beat free.

Ironically, they're now far more expensive than basic ARs

Fun fact I just realised: Argon (Ar) is element number 18.

This is God's way of telling us to follow the truth and the light through Armalite!

What's the difference?

I really wanted a T91 upper from Atlantic but the sold out of the rifle length ones before I got to it. It's kind of like a AR18 in that it's piston driven with AR ergos.

And I think I heard that most of the AR18's made for the US civilian market on their early production runs got bought up by the mob and sent to the IRA so normal shooters never really got exposed to them.

That basic bitch AR stock hurts to look at please put something vaguely triangular on it

long-stroke gas piston vs GI.

This.

>sent to the IRA
>normal shooters never really got exposed to them
I would think the IRA were the normal shooters in Ireland...

>aluminium
The fuck is that? Bet you say zed instead of zee too ya fuckin commie.

I will. Going to get a Colt Canada stock. Theyre nice and compact.

By the time it finally entered production in 1969 the U.S. was already starting to give out M16A1s or the license to produce them to any ally that wanted them.

I'd love to see either parts kits or new uppers hit the market, because NoDak Spud makes an excellent Ar 18 receiver.

Buy one from this place:

Nodak said their goal is to evetually make enough parts for a complete rifle. This was a few years ago though, so lots could have changed since then.

Normal=American you dummy.

The AR-18 just missed the party. I think it's a shame because in my opinion it's an objective improvement over the 15 by simplifying the action and eliminating the buffer tube.

In any case it did lead to a series of derivatives used by many countries, but it's practically raining ARs and H&K will license the 416 to anyone who asks so that's the option everyone takes.

>H&K will license the 416 to anyone who asks so that's the option everyone takes
Used by a bunch of SOF, but its only the service rifle for like ~3 countries. AR18 derivatives are overwhelmingly more popular than the 416.

no ur just gay

Yeah, fuck all those not normals. 'Merica
