The prisoner gets locked in a room with hundreds of SIG P320 hanging from the ceiling with ropes attached to each one.

The ropes will then (via the help of mechanics) slowly fall instead of instantly fall, although that only works for a short period of time before the "slow-fall" mechanism stops working, and then instantly drops the pistol it is attached to.
The prisoner will have to run around pulling the ropes until he or she tire, thus causing the p320's to eventually shoot him or her in a preferably non-lethal spot.

I always had an idea for a form of capital punishment that covers the main bases of it being public for people to watch, intimidating to scare others away from committing crime, entertaining to watch, and still cause pain and punishment to the offender.

Look up the Colosseum Beast masters/trainers. It is actually rather hard to get animals to eat people in front of a howling crowd. You'd be better off with a fight pit between criminals. Winner lives another day, gets medical treatment and a few nice things as incentives.

Why not just flooding nitrogen gas into a room with people in it? It's the major constituent of air so your body has no way of knowing what's going on. You wouldn't even know that anything was happening until you got a little funny feeling, then drowsy.

the drugs they use for lethal injection are expensive as fuck and getting harder and harder to come by, some executions are heavily delayed just because the state has a hard time finding them anymore, and then you have to find a doctor willing to do it(becoming increasingly rare) and it doesn't take much to fuck it up, just miss the vein or penetrate the back end and the fucker ends up convulsing and seizing up, at which point the execution has to stop and they're stuck like that forever as fodder for the anti death penalty nuts

I know carbon monoxide works, but the point of using nitrogen is that it's super, super cheap (LN2 is about the price of milk and expands to about 1700 times its size), has no risk on cleanup (just cycle it with the atmosphere locally) and is totally unnoticeable.

I don't really ''agree'' with capital punishment because I don't think it's effective as a deterrent and you can't un-kill someone if you find out you're wrong, but if it's to be done it should be done right.

I like capital punishment, but I think this is dead wrong. In truth, we can reliably imprison people for their entire lives with practically no chance of escape: we really do know how to engineer prisons.

No, when you execute someone, it is an act of retribution, as well as a re-affirmation of the fact that society as a whole values human life (assuming that they are a murderer). The whole notion of state punishment is to prevent blood feuds when one person wrongs another by removing retribution from the wronged and carrying it out impartially. A murderer is killed as revenge for his crime. A state that abolishes the death penalty and purely pursues the aim of rehabilitating a murderer with not punishment implicitly places no value on the lives of its constituents, for the victim is simply a lost unit and the killer is a defective unit to be salvaged.

This contrasts somewhat with the case of the traitor/leftist, where the punishment is not on behalf of an individual or family that has been wronged, but on behalf of the entirety of society. When you put a traitor against a wall and shoot them, it is not so that they may never again betray their country, but rather as revenge for their trespasses against the nation. Executing a traitor also sends the valuable message that crimes against the nation will not be downplayed and brushed aside, as they frequently are today.

Firing squad, noose, or guillotine are all fine methods of execution. Other methods tend to be overcomplicated and/or unnecessaryily expensive.

A gas chamber could theoretically handle a large number of people and could be completely painless for all those involved.

You could even set it up as an entertainment room so people are busy playing video games and then just quietly pass out.

gas chambers aren't complicated at all and don't take up any more space than any other forms of execution. Usage is as simple as closing the door and flipping a switch then waiting an hour or so to ensure no mistakes, unlike other methods there's zero chance of foul up here provided you just wait long enough, brain dies at a certain point when oxygen deprived, end of story.

Hell if you really want to conserve space you could strap them in a chair and then just put a mask or hood over them

Gases like Nitrogen are cheap, plentiful, and easy to store, plenty of other businesses that use them do it every day
