Bud's C93 - Anyone get theirs yet?

So I know a bunch of us have preordered this gun, and Bud's Gunshop has it's first review (pic related) and it mentions minor fitment to use steel mags, but says that's normal.

Anyone get theirs yet?

Got it yesterday. Steel, polymer, and aluminum mags fit without issue. Have not shot it yet

Fuck it. I give up on phone posting

You got a good one, it LOVES steel case, and it's a 1:9 twist so everything to 75gr is OK.

theres an arfcom thread with pics up
ar15.com/forums/Armory/Bud-s-Exclusive-C93-built-rebuilt-by-PTR/9-491358/

I want one but the site says its sold out so I guess I'll just have to wait and get price gouged by boomers on gunbroker/armslist if I try and get one

>tfw 1:9
>tfw over 8lbs
>tfw almost $900 msrp

Just get a fucking AR, jesus.

What makes it a good one? The forward assist grooves? I am seeing some have them and some don’t.

Aside from the 922r stuff.... From the parts that are originally serialed, they all match.

Forward assist grooves usually mean that's it was put together with HK milsurp parts, and with that it means it's in spec.

Sorry mate. A lot of people are saying this was a test run, PTR testing the waters to see if there's a market for this product. In which case, they sold 850 rifles in like 2 weeks so hopefully they see that there is. In which case you'll pay more but it would be a PTR branded PTR 93 instead of a PTR built and PTR warranted Century C93.

>tfw 1:9
A good compromise twist rate, I'm not shooting anything heavier than 75 grains so I don't mind.
>tfw over 8lbs
Dude I'm a manlet and that doesn't bother me. If a 2 pound difference is that big of a deal you need to go to the gym.
>tfw almost $900 msrp
In what universe? My preorder was $550. Where the fuck do you get a $900 MSRP?

Can you AR fags get back to your containment thread already? Jesus christ not a single thread without one of you faggots saying "just get an AR"

>wanting a rifle that dosent work
Lol

Oh good. Bolt gap checked out and barrel looks like it is installed correctly. I think I did good for 3 40 round hk aluminum mags, 3 polymer 40s, 2 poly 10s all for $600

They need to make mags cheap.

>all that
>600$
Nigga you did good as fuck, the 40rnd aluminums are like 60$ a piece.

I wonder if Buds got their shit together and are just waiting for PTR to send them all the rifles first and then ship them all out at the same time. Obviously, their reserve system is fucked and doesn't hold your place in line.

Attached: deal with it.jpg (1920x1080, 489K)

I'll give you 600 for yours

Oh shit just noticed this is the PTR built Century thread not the Century built Century thread....

Nice I just checked the site and to my dismay they are all out of stock
Do you know if they'll be available again?

The preorders for these sold out, I read that they used left over receivers and kits from century, not clear if they will be getting anymore or if it was a one time deal.

>tfw almost $900 msrp
Yeah a thread about a gun that people just bought for $575 is totally a $900 msrp gun.

PTR already stated in emails that this is a one time thing and not to expect any 5.56 rifles from them.

Damn. Well I am pretty fucking disappointed. Goddammit PTR get your shit together.

Not their fault they don't want to start producing a rifle with expensive mags or have to rely on off and on Turkish mags and it's not like they can just get their hands on G41 plans for a proper stanag mag HK roller delayed blowback.

>it's not like they can just get their hands on G41 plans for a proper stanag mag HK roller delayed blowback.
Why not? There seems to be plenty of people who would love one, given the primary complaint about the c93 being the magazine

>Yeah bro, just redesign the gun bro, it'll be easy!

My biggest regret this year is not pre ordering one of these...

Attached: 1527163048983.jpg (640x631, 50K)

tfw ordered on the 30th so i'll be one of the last ones to get it

When do you think we'll be able to pre-order the next batch?

There is no next batch, they only had 800 and stopped taking reservations.

I have a question, why is it that out of all the HK models PTR could've had in full production up until now why did they decide to do one of the most obscure ones, the HK 32 in 7.62x39 which is so rare it's only been seen once in the wild in Mexico, instead of the 93, and why did it take so long to do a MP5?

To strategically farm your shekels like glock did with the 43 and 42

So if I should find a c93 for sale and it has the forward assist grooves does that mean it was likely made by PTR and has mostly HK parts?

No, the c93s are built from a mix of Thai and Malaysian parts and some had and some didn't have the bolt serrations. The only visible differences are that PTR powder coated their c93s while the standard Century ones are parkerized and the PTR c93s came in a box labeled by PTR. There are no PTR markings on their c93s.

I see so really at this point the only hope at getting a PTR made 93 is if they start actually producing them apart from this limited run?

Are the c93 non-ptr rifles any good?

Or maybe make their own version of the HarK adapter, or try to adapt Mini-14 or 5.56 AK mags?

See , these were it. There are not going to be anymore, buds bought the remainder of the kits from Century and send them to PTR to get built and once they're built that's it.

>5.56 AK mags
For what purpose? Those have even worse availability

Ditch the toy, get a Glock.

I figured, since the PTR-32 is nothing more than a 91 chambered in 7.62x39 and with a modified magwell, all they could do is fabricate a bolt head, locking piece, and barrel for 5.56. Not pretty, but at least there's a option on the table.

t. wehraboo

See that is a parkerized century build. He's just trolling ya.

Zenith makes them. They're good.
Century made them and stopped. Mix bag, only do this if you know what to look for.
PTR made them and stopped. Should be good.

Thai are domestically produced and called Type 11.
Malay were made with HK produced parts assembled in Malaysia.

FUCK WHY DIDNT I PREORDER

Attached: 1535259019863.jpg (970x545, 50K)

Don't worry, they'll be resold for a healthy markup.

Would rather buy a ptr 32 at that point

Nah. Just wait for a boomer to die. They will be resold at century c93 price since there are no ptr markings on them, just different finish.

They will be like the cast receiver cetmes.

Hate to tell you, but century c93 prices start at about 700.

Well fuck me running, this happened few weeks ago.

>I'm not shooting anything heavier than 75 grains
>not shooting 77gr OTM
faggot

>3 40 round hk aluminum mags, 3 polymer 40s, 2 poly 10s all for $600
You mean you got that AND the gun for 600? Thats a steal

Boomers man. They don’t price check current prices nor realize things change. Got to exploit that whole, “I don’t get how everything is different from forty years ago or even few months ago!”

I feel you mane. I had the cash in hand, I just wasn't sure of the mag availability situation so I held off.

Soon (tm)

THESE WERE ON SALE AND I MISSED IT. FUCK MY LIFE.

Attached: 1531365333903.gif (267x200, 1.59M)

how'd you get your made in germany labels so bright and consistent?

Since it's a similar gun, How much should I pay for an H&K 93? I have a guy selling me one but I dont wanna get ripped off. Also what's the difference between A C93 and An H&K93?

a preban? I think they're between 1500 to 2500 depending on condition and all that shit. the difference is ones made by HK in germany and ones a clone made by century with surplus parts. the C93s we're discussing in this thread are made by a different company but on the same receivers as the old C93s

And same parts as the century c93

Because they seem to want to be the next Lel-Tec. Have a bunch of novel and neat designs, only make 8 of them and then never restock ever again. Based business practice.

>mfw poorfaggots that bought these find out mags are $70 each

Attached: uzaki lmao.jpg (991x656, 133K)

Same kits yeah but the guns aren't made by incompetent orangutans so it's different

>all century is shit
>century used different builders or companies for different batches or different rifles
>if know what to look for avoid the problems.
True, but doesn’t help that half the people are dumber than average and don’t know how to check a rifle made from surplus parts or even know how to use their new toy. Makes it awesome for those of us that know how to spot a good item at way below even century is shit prices just cause the seller is retarded.

By buying mags in nice condition

Got mine new though

not new enuf tbhsmh

Yours steel or aluminum? Theirs look to be 30 round steel mags.

I ordered on the 30th and got mine last week. The shipping order makes no goddamn sense considering I've read people who bought one on the first day havent even gotten a shipping notice yet

Attached: rHtBkMT.jpg (1280x1339, 520K)

What's the first letter of you last name?

K. I think I saw somewhere else an S got his too

Super envious then, I ordered mine on the 30th too

Ordered the 30th. Haven't gotten shipping notification. Still says "preorder received."

>>optimizing his rifle for snowflake rounds that are uncommon
>>trying to make 5.56 something it's not

fuck off you stupid double nigger. If I want to shoot something heavier than 65 grains I'll make an AR upper that's optimized for it or I'll just skip that step and get a 6.5 Grendel.

>>$70 each
only if you're dead set on the metal ones. I'll just wait till promag makes some more 40 rounders, they work fine. Patience is a virtue y'know.
