So Jow Forums...

So Jow Forums, I was gifted some gun parts by my uncle and I'm interested in purchasing the rest of the parts so I can finish this rifle

First off, as a complete first time user (other than owning a .22 rifle) I'm obviously not going to attempt putting this together myself as that would be stupid and despite the very liberal area I live in, there are many gun dealers where I can get it put together. But, I'm not sure what else I need to finish this rifle.

Now, what's not pictured is that I also have a Lower Parts Kit for this that has parts like the trigger, bolt catch, safety selector, etc. So with those, I will still obviously need a barrel and stock (no stock came with my lower parts kit) but what else?

Did you register it?

My uncle told me he did. So, here's to hoping he told the truth. But even if he didn't, I obviously intended on getting everything squared away and making sure everything was legit before going ahead with any assembly or anything

You're gonna need:

>barrel
>handguard
>stock
>sights
>gas tube
>gas block
>charging handle
>bcg

optional but encouraged:
>optic
>light
>sling w/ hardware

also: assemble it yourself. It isn't hard and you'll learn how your rifle works. There's tons of good guides out there if you need help.

>doesn’t know for sure if it’s registered
It’s like you literally want your dog to be kill

>Register
>In America

California is not America. Do not comply.

Do you have a general idea on how much $$$$ it should take to finish this?

And I dunno, my uncle from my dads side who was actually in the military advised me it would be a very bad idea to put it together myself as a first time thing. Not that I'm completely against trying to put it together, I just wouldn't want to fuck anything up and ruin a part or something. I'm not made of money sadly.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Jow Forums memes brochacho

OP I’m feeling nice today, it doesn’t need to be registered unless you live in a ban state. Everything can also be ordered online. Since you’re new, I suggest a “drop in” trigger. As for installing, ask your uncle

>registering guns
Is this a Jow Forums meme? I was not aware that in God's Country we had to register diddly squat that isn't NFA.

Is this bait?

Thanks for the advice, yeah I was definitely going to ask him for help too.

Unfortunately no. I'm a complete beginner to Jow Forums

Easiest thing to do would be to ignore the upper you've got and buy one that's already assembled. Would be a couple hundred dollars or more depending on what you get, but the barrel/gas tube and everything will be where it needs to be.

OP, you don't have to be an experienced shooter to assemble and AR. Just watch a few YouTube videos.

Are you able to use tools at all and assemble parts? Have you ever assembled or fixed anything before?

Yes. I'm familiar with tools though certainly no expert. Mostly just to the point of being able to do home repair work and stuff to keep things running

1. Guns don’t need to be registered unless you live in a commie state

2. Your uncle’s a fucktard, AR is like legos and can be done by any fucking monkey with a hammer and an armorers wrench.

Uppers are easy tho...

The whole fucking thing is stupid easy

Then this sounds like the perfect Labor Day weekend project for you. If you have the LPK and the lower receiver, why not put the them together? You will be not be the same man when you finish that lower.

A woman (female) could almost assemble one, you should be able to

Go ahead and awaken your inner gunsmith OP. The worst you could do is scratch the finish on that lower. But don't worry, it is aluminum and it won't rust.

This. Like retarded easy.

>Do you have a general idea on how much $$$$ it should take to finish this?
> barrel ~$150
>bcg ~$100
>handguard ~$150 for free float ~$30-50 for some magpul shit
>stock ~$50
>sights ~$80 for MBUS
>gas block ~$20
>gas tube ~$20

Really depends on what you get.

> Not that I'm completely against trying to put it together, I just wouldn't want to fuck anything up and ruin a part or something.

Worst case scenario (unless you're really retarded) is you bend a pin which'll set you back a whole $.50 from your local hardware store.

Get this. Best $99 you can spend on a trigger. Comes with free shipping and anti-roll pins.

Midway USA did a very informative build video on the AR15. I suggest you watch it.

Lucky you op theres sales everywhere this weekend so take advantage of that. ballistic advantage make good barrels. geissele has really good parts too.

Or he fucks up the headspace

That's not a larue MBT, and those are 87 right now.

>Or he fucks up the headspace

Extremely unlikely with new parts from quality manufacturers. But really you can't fuck up the headspace in assembly so much as fail to check it properly (or have it checked by a gunsmith)

If it is then he's good. He sounds like a legit retard.

the lower you should put together yourself
it's easy and you'll learn how it works
the upper is easy too but you need to make sure the head space is correct so you may want a smith to do that
what state are you in? If you're not in a state that requires it, don't let these fools trick you
