Kinda liked that one Anons idea of a 20Ga pistol grip with a bipod, for purely on a bench precision slug use. Do a red dot and explode water bottles out to ~75 yards.
But the $1/ a shot thing turns me off but cheap than buying a long barrel 44 mag for doing the same thing.
90% of my shooting is off a bench anyways and scoped rifles can get boring.
Should I or shouldn't I. What shotguns would you get. For this purpose?

Yes. Precisely. But the Tc Contender is like $650. I was thinking about a $239 pump action with slugs through a smooth ore. Supposedly they can be accurate within 1" at 50yards.

Relative to a standard L2A1 it is. Though it might just be removing the flash hider. In any event, this is another version of the same idea from NZSAS, also in Vietnam.

While the shortest available barrel option from H&K was the G3KA4 at 12", third parties were more open to experimentation. The most famous probably being the MC51 briefly used by the SAS and SBS, and the Vollmer HK51B, an 11lb conversion of the HK21 with an 8" barrel.

In all seriousness, we had a bunch of rossi 12 gauge shotguns come into canada with 17.75" barrels that quickly got reclassified to restricted, so guys had them cut down too 4.25" and threw pistol grips on them, was neat

Not exactly sawed off, but short and weird anyways. A Colt 9mm SMG, model designation RO635SD with integrally-suppressed upper (using a KAC suppressor, I believe) and modified rifle handguard. Allegedly, the biggest buyer was the DEA for use in clandestine raids and supposedly less risk of muzzle flash blowing shit up when working around meth labs and shit.
Note: not to be confused with the Colt DoE RO633 with the distinctive 7" barrel and shield on the handguard, made for nuclear material security teams.
