Post your daily carry knives
Post Carry Knives
You carry ten knives on a daily basis, Stabby?
Shouldn't you be out looking for Cincinnati Harry instead of posting on Jow Forums?
Fuck off, mall ninja adolescent retards.
>stop liking things I can't afford
How much for the BHQ pm2?
Yeah and the only gun anyone needs is a double barrel shotgun.
Not for sale, but I paid like $120 on the secondary market. Not a fan of coated blades usually, but on M4 it's not bad.
Very nice group you got there.
Pic related is some of my favorite carry knives, not included is a Ti Military and a Stedmon ZKC C-01 that I've been carrying a lot lately.
Ayooo I see that Orange fixed Skyline there. I've got on and love it. Is it the first one or some new s30v run?
It's the first run in Sandvik. I got a couple for like $15 ea a few years back.
>Very nice group you got there.
Thanks, man. I have narrowed down my collection substantially over the years. Got rid of some snowflake sprint run Spydercos I didn't use to fund guns and other stuff. Keeping my folders to less than a dozen right now. I have thought about picking up a S90V Titanium Military from KW, but my Spydies I have keep me happy. My black Manix is actually the BW CPM-M4 model with normal scales (I hated the jade ones) and my copper PM2 is the S110V model.
Yep same, got them on sale for nothing... I wish I got more though, only ordered two, and gave one away.
Btw I got a premade orange kydex sheath for mine, was not too expensive, maybe $20 something... SO worth it. So much better than the crappy leather they came with, I cut through mine after I sharpened the knife.
I understand down sizing... well maybe not... I have a Pelican 1500 case with like 40 folders in it. I'm now out of room. I've decided to not exceed the case, If I want a new knife, have to sell and old one.
>I have a Pelican 1500 case with like 40 folders in it
Yea, mine is the Pelican 1300. I had 18 folders in it, plus a few other pouches and what not. I am content with keeping it at 10-12, atleast for now. I would like to snag another ZT perhaps, but the one I got is pretty much perfect for me.
You should check out WE, btw. I cannot say enough good things. They're some of my favorites. Especially the 702a integral. So much knife for the money, and stellar quality.
>I only use my pocket knife to clean shit out under my finger nails and open packets.
I've already been tempted by the forbiden fruit (Chines Midtechs) with my Stedmon (pic related)... I have been looking at that Integral WE, that is impressive for $400, but out of my price range realistically for now unless I were to down size a fair amount... Or start up my side sharpening again.
The ZT's are always lovely. That new 0470 is so fucking sexy, going to have to get one of those. And I've wanted a 0055 since they came out.
Newish Vtoku2 Endura. Got the chance to cherry pick the thinnest ground one my dealer had, came out very nice with 10 degree per side edge bevels.
>show me your edc knives guys!
>edc
>EVERY DAY CARRY
>posts a bunch of knives that rarely see the outside of their box, let alone the outside world
You people are pathetic. THIS is an edc knife.
Now show me a knife that you actually carry AND use our you officially suck cock by choice.
I find it hard to take straight edge people srsly.
I use my serrations every week.
But you actually do....
My knives mainly get used for cardboard, plastic, clamshell packaging, and food prep. They don't get messed up that much in use, and I sharpen them regularly.
dont feel like taking a photo, just got it back from benchmade. I had them swap blades, i put a pretty sizable nick into the edge what would have taken too long to fix manually. Im babying it because of that.
You actually own knives with serrations? What's wrong with you?
>food prep
I'm trying to visualize you cutting a fucking onion with a pocket knife. Please tell me you don't actually do this.
The 702 is like $250-$300. Do it.
Also, I just got the Stedemon made Vouking T01 with M390 for less than $100 on Amazon. Amazing knife for the money.
What is this?
Boker Magnum Outdoor Cuisine III
At work so can't take pics but typically it's either my Buck 110 or one of two cheap knives I got on Wish (stiletto and balisong, like them both for the price) but always have my leatherman wave plus on my hip
Reminder that if your knife isn't a fixed blade or capable of one handed operation?
You're carrying a shit EDC knife.
>go shooting with brother in law
>upon cleaning our rifles at the house he takes off his EDC
>benchmade foldable, fixed blade in a sheath hidden, Glock, and spare magazine
>”you have a small fixed blade when you already carry a knife?”
>”they say to never use a foldable knife against someone because the safety may fail”
Jesus Christ. The mother fucker I like 6’2” and 310. Always is carrying a gun. Has never been in a fist fight. Doesn’t live in a bad area.
Shut up sheepdog
You must live in Europe.
Most of my EDC knives do a decent impression of a paring or petty knife, and I use them for those sorts of tasks rather than the sorts of tasks you'd use a chef's knife for.
Same here. My Sebenza is the best pairing knife I've ever owned, something about the blade grind makes it god tier for stuff like dicing up green onions or celery, and it's super easy to clean too. I just make sure not to use it for anything really messy that's likely to get into the pivot area.
Here's my rotation. The Sebenza gets carried the most, it's been in my pocket almost every day for over a year. I carried the Lionsteel for about eight months before that, and the Benchmade for a couple of years before that one. The Delica hasn't been used much but finds its way into my pocket now and then, especially when I anticipate doing something that suits its thinner blade. (Like when I know I'm gonna be opening a shitload of boxes for some reason.)
Some of us just choose knives with high-quality materials and finishes that don't show wear the way cheaply anodized aluminum and painted black blades do. I have a bright orange Benchmade Triage that I put through years of hell while working in a metal fab shop, and all I had to do was clean the G10 with a Magic Eraser now and then and it looks practically brand new.
>best paring knife
Lol, i have a $90 paring knife that's several hundred light years ahead.
You need to git gud, son.
Once I get my own place again I probably will. I'm living with my family at the moment and my folks do a ton of cooking but don't have any respect for knives, and that $90 pairing knife would end up getting trashed in a month or two.
Post your paring knife. I have a couple of fixed blades I EDC that are basically paring knives with kydex sheaths kek.
I appreciate the irony of this post.
0.053" spine
0.003" edge
Nice Calton paring knife. My Calton necker isn't quite that thin behind the edge, more like 0.008" but similar thickness at the spine.
Honestly, a 3mm or less spine EDC folding knife with a reasonably lean grind isn't as far behind a good paring knife as you'd think. Sure my Calton necker is better than an Endura or Spydiechef, but I'd say more like 25% better than 200% better.
>crkt squid
>Cheap, durable, comfortable in all garments
Am I the only person that doesn't like spyderco?
Carrying a different QUALITY knife (ie not Boker trash) daily mitigates wear
I started carrying this mora. Working on a better method to carry it. Clipped to the top of my pants behind my back as I don't wear a belt, which is fine but my shirt is a hassle, gets in the way. But to tuck shirt in exposes it too much. To maximize concealment, minimizes accessibility.
My Benchmade Mini Griptilian Cabelas special with the D2 steel blade and my Leatherman Wave
Should I buy one of the abomination spyderco + axis lock knives ganzo makes?
nice, which model is this?
No. Plenty of better options for the money that aren't ripoffs and shit
It being a copy doesn't mean it's bad, and they're cheap as fuck desu
The fact that Sebenzas don't have a steel lockbar insert makes me want to buy one just to slam against a wall as hard as I fucking can. It should be a standard feature on any ti framelock over $150
lmao im retarded
fuck off, toolfag peasant.
>taiwan
figures
Whats a good OTF that is cheap?
is your fedora black or brown?
Are those copper scales?
Going on a road trip up the east coast soon and gonna be stopping at Jew York. Since my florida CC permit isn't any good there, what's a good budget, sub 4'' knife I can take on the trip?
This 530 is my user, as well as the first benchmade I ever bought.
When I’m not at work I just carry the other knives in my collection based on my mood/outfit
>hol up i cut muhself
>dis blade closed on muh damn fingers
Hell yeah I love cringe threads! Gullible suckers spending $400 on a folding knife makes me literally laugh out loud.
Classic old timer.
Been with me for almost 15years, never failed me.
Yeah, that's one of a whole list of modern features that the Sebenza really ought to have for the money. It's a really great knife in a lot of ways - the handle and blade shape are excellent for an EDC knife, it has a really great clip and lanyard attachment, it's the single best-built thing I've ever owned in my life - but it definitely needs some upgrades to stay with the times. If I were in charge of CRK I'd take the Inkosi's upgrades, like the lockbar insert and the new washers, put them in a knife that was externally identical to the current Seb 21, upgrade to 20CV or M390 or something, and then call it the Sebenza 31.
Basic, but I actually use mine.
yes, that Medford is a china clone.
That ZT is a great knife, got one too.
This. You only gotta pay so much for a well built quality knife that you can actually use without feeling guilty when it chips or handle gets damaged or worn down.
Lemme guess, you use yours to build a mansion out of twigs in a desert right? Oh no you killed a whole cell of Taliban fighters with it.
Never cut myself from a slip joint closing. Pro tip, don't put your fingers in the way of the sharp bit.
That's hot.
Get one man. I jumped on a Ganzo g741 and I like it quite a bit. Be aware that the screws are kinda iffy though. I overtorqued one or something and it fell off my pocket clip. Rest of the knife is functioning fine though.I will say the steel is questionable, since at first I couldn't really sharpen it on the sharpmaker, but now it easily gets to a point of gliding through paper with no effort. The G-lock is gritty at first but it'll get a lot better especially if you clean it out and put some oil. 20 bucks no regret.
Your brother is a smart man. He is more powerful than user-Chan. He would destroy user-chan’s anus on a whim.
530-chan is best naifu! Is discontinued now. I buy spare ^_^
very nice collection there OP.
My most daily carried one is the Benchmade 940-1
>pic related
>my Benchmades
Nice. I have three of those.
>Manix 2 Sprint Run
>S110V Manix 2 Lightweight
>Spyderco Southard
Funny thing those three are at the top of my favorite Spydercos of all time.
Fuck is it really?
I really want to buy one of the grey ones [531?] to go with my normal 530
Thanks for ruining my day :(
I'm more traditional with my stabbys
Groovy
Best knife for under $150?
Folding, specifically.
Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight or the Spyderco Native 5 in S110V
Both have S110V which is a godly steel, and both are incredibly light and durable, functional blades. The Native 5 is smaller in the pocket, but still capable open. The Manix 2 is a big boy in the pocket and offers a lot of grip and flexibility for hard use. Can't go wrong with either, but I'd personally go with the Native for EDC, or spring a few bucks extra for the Paramilitary 2 in S110V if you want something fancy and fun to play with.
