What is the process of an American joining the IDF? How long does someone who enlists at 22 have to serve?

whats the reason youd like to move to israel?
To partake in Jewish internet memes.
I don’t want to move there. At least not yet. I just want to serve in the military and help out my people. And I’d probably try to get dual citizenship.
Yes I too would like to move to Israel and join the brave IDF, do they take lowly goyim like myself?
No non-Jews allowed. You'll need to prove your Judaism. I have a bris certificate, but I wouldn't join the IDF and have no clue why you'd want to join.
I’m an Eastern European Jew. I was born in America.
Same. I'd rather fight for the US first, then for Lithuania or Belarus, though.
My problem with serving in the US is the enlistment period is really long, four years I believe. I want to serve to get the experience after I graduate college and get started on my life. I’m not looking for a career in the military. Plus the US has been fucking around in the Middle East for close to 20 years and has gotten nothing done at least Israel is doing something.
>implying that the US hasn't been in the middle east because of Israel
