>$500 and no sights
No.

Can get a PSA for $350.

Got one last year for 379.99 shipped, otherwise no.

No, that would be the M&P Sport 2.

This guy got it right. M&P Sport II with a sight and case for 600 at my local store. Can’t beat S&W at that price honestly

Yeah that rebate deal where they were super cheap was nice. For full price, there's better options.

Better fit and finish than an M&P. Shit railed gas block. Shitty handguards. I popped a lowpro gas block, freefloat rail, and a2 stock onto mine and she's great. Just keep in mind the railed gas block may be canted (as was in my case) or not the same height as the top rail.

dpms a shit never buy.

Unless you are talking about a complete rifle at the lowest available price, absolutely not. You can snap a PSA upper and lower together for under $400 if you get a little lucky with a daily special. Ruger and S&W are significantly better at a only slightly higher price.

An M&P Sport will cost just about as much and not make you have to deal with the archaic bullshit that is a railed gas block in 2018. It'll also come with an M4 buttstock that doesn't look like complete AIDS.

Delton echo 316 less than 500 all up.

okay, so i panic-bought an ar556 in 2016. tell me why it's shit. so far it's ran okay but i haven't tried steel and i heard it's shit with steel. should i sell it for something else, i was thinking ak63ds?

Get a colt on a good sale.
It'll be more, but it's a proper carbine.

Best bang to buck ratio is probably Stag.

My friend got one recently

The o-ring on the BCG was too large and the firing pin "fell out" after shooting it once. We were unable to disassemble the rifle, and the resulting fiasco at the range got a lot of attention from veterans that were seconds away from just swinging the rifle against the wall in rage.

0/10 would not recommend

There's a new delton at my LGS.
Picked it up, and the fucking bolt was stuck is a slightly open position.
Tried to pull the charging handle, wouldn't budge, and it also won't go into battery.
I'm guessing the forward assist is somehow jammed in.

Compared to other entry-level ARs on the market, you're still coming out way ahead here with all the upgrades this thing is packing. In fact, this is more a mid-tier piece at an entry-level price.

18'' cold hammer-forged barrel w/5R rifling: $200

Ruger’s Elite 452 two-stage trigger: $140

Low-profile gas block : $10

15-inch free-float handguard: $70

Magpul MOE SL stock: $50

Magpul MOE grip: $15

About $500 in upgrades over standard entry-level.

You will be collecting parts for a year at dirt-bottom prices trying to build & beat this package. Pricing under $800 makes this a great deal and $600 is the closest we've been to the all-time low in many months.

built this thing from a psa rifle kit, even with all the extras I’ve only got about 500 into it in current config.

You can easily do better by building one. Both price and quality wise.

is that ODG furniture?

Looking at ~$500 for free float nitrided upper including sights and throwing a couple bucks to my lgs for the lower.

olympic arms: worth the money?

Got mine for 400. The railed gas block is dogshit, I had to buy a riser to level out my iron sights which still aren't right. The block was also canted, so I had to widen the dimples in my barrel to set it right. I regret not spending the extra couple hundred for a bushmaster a2

Mine works fine with 500 rds thru it.

That's a Damn good deal. If I had a need-want for another I'd buy it.

sounds good

Haha WHAT

I bought a M&P Sport II, which comes with iron sites unlike this thing, for 425 bucks last year.

We live in a time where you can easily get ARs for under $400 out the door.

So no.
