Alright Jow Forumsunts, are coveralls/flightsuits acceptable for gear loadouts? I've seen some pictures of law enforcement using them but generally from the late 90s to the early 2000s. I'm considering getting a suit like pic related because they seem comfy and practical.
Go walk in the middle of the woods with one Hot and sweaty But if you find a decent pair, go for it
Thomas Adams
I've run gear with both coveralls and top/bottom. Coveralls are decent if you're static or not very mobile, like guard or vehicle crew duties or swat shit, but I'll stick with my standard top and bottom for any long distance movement. Go buy some cheap coveralls and try it out before you buy some nomex tactical coveralls shit.
Bentley Jenkins
I wear some on my Rescue Squad, love them for EMS. For Jow Forums related activities I would very much love to have some OD ones, make sure the pocket situation is decent and as long as it fits it should be a world of good.
Jeremiah Russell
I've heard there are ones with ventilation and a fiber mesh design that aids in cooling, not saying I live in a tropical enviroment but less sweating the better. I've tried some old mechanics one's I've had when I worked in freight and home depot, they are honestly comfy and I found myself walking around with them almost like a second skin, I didn't know if it was autistic or not to want to use them for more SHTF style situations. >OD I can only find coyote or black, it seems like OD just isn't a popular color or am I missing something? Should I try to find surplus tanker coveralls maybe like pic related?
if you are about to do an intervention and want fire resistant clothing then it is good, if you are planning to walk for miles and then scout for your target and then walk all the way back again to extract, fuck no
If fire is a threat you encounter, nomex coveralls are a solution.
Leo Cruz
Not really that good, too hot in the summer too cold in the winter, alrightish in the fall or spring but the pockets are hard to access. Only time I'd recommend them is if you've got a fair amount of gear over them and want something simple beneath.
Jack Evans
Thats where I'm at honestly, I'm in a 60-70F weather zone, generally low winds and very low humidity so something like a coverall would work. Could do some modifications to the suit if it gets to hot to have some way to breath better. I'll take a look, thanks user. I figured using a yoke/y-harness or battle jacket vest like the M83 would synergize with overalls better in some cases.
You roll the top in to the bottom, folding the sleeves into pant legs t. wears cover all for work sometimes
Jack Allen
60-70 you should be good, I'd recommend getting crew coveralls not a flightsuit though, my flightsuits are a pain to get stuff in and out of since the zippers don't like to work standing up.
Naked shits are the best shits. If you got time to build a toilet paper nest over the throne seat you can shit with coveralls just as easily.
Jacob James
Holy fuck that was intense, theres a series on this too? Time to get /comfy/ and contemplate the years leading up to white genocide.
Carson Morales
Yeah, it's one of my favorite videos. /comfy/ in a way.
Connor Ward
Damn the shift after Mandela took over. It all went downhill to where now Whites are being genocided by these ogaa-boogas. Damn those MP5s and USPs are sexy.
Nah, they trap smells well t. owned four flight suits
Chase Flores
my flecktarn BW tanker coveralls are great
Nicholas Young
Nellis aircraft maintenance here. Dudes wear these in 120 degree weather for 9 hours a day doing manual labor and seem fine. I stick to t-shirts, but whatever works for you.
Anthony Lopez
How much do you like having your balls crushed when you reach up for things, user?
Bentley Moore
>not having so much extra sack your balls can freely move out of the way
Isaac Clark
They're coveralls not tights man, it's not a kinky suit.
Cameron Perez
Coveralls suck. Is there some reason you can't wear pants like a normal person?
Anthony Lopez
>pants >"normal person" >thread was about coveralls for autist operating in shtf why are you here? This is true, I actually am able to get away with wearing my work coveralls because my balls are pretty flexible. Running, crouching, flexing, anything works for me.
Jonathan Jackson
SF and Swats wore flightsuits because they're Nomex and flashbangs can set the building on fire. >picveryrelated
Theyre also quick to pull on over cop blues to join a raid. But theyre too hot for most field operating longterm, plus you have to strip down to take a dump.
It's almost as if you could wear pants and cover all of them with something else.
Aaron Gutierrez
They're pretty nice until you need to take a shit. Any reason you want to wear it other then looking like topgun? Honestly, there's not much advantage to them over the new OCP pattern 2-piece flyer's uniform, it's also fire resistant, comfier then the normal OCPs, has the fun, flight suit pockets, better camo, and you can take a shit easy.

Hold your horses. Overalls are not always boiler suits or flight suits. The French Army has been using them in the field.
If going with a coverall option like others said it's good for raids or limited time on objective type thing with most suits you find being flame resistant. Having worn some of the armys CVC uniforms and bought some mechanic coveralls to use for maintenance, I'd say generally in the winter time I loved them, the were warm, and working in very confined spaces they didn't snag or catch on stuff as easily. But... In the hot humid Korean summer they were no fun. Generally I would zip it allllllll the way down when inside the vehicle, pulling them down to my ankles when driving. So in summery... Keeps you warm Easy to put over other uniform or warming layers Doesn't snag as much Is usually FR Butt flap option for deuce taking Nostalgic VBSS team look GREAT for use with harnesses But Hot as fuck and doesn't breath Sizing is key And certain FR fabrics will fall apart easily.
That's pretty good skinning. Hard to get it all off in open piece.
Camden Cook
90s SWAT. That video the user showed of the Special Task Force dude and the general use of it over a 2-piece set. I don't know its just nice to have other options I guess. >snag-free I've seen this before on reviews and I'll admit I like it. I have a Yates Tactical STABO Full Harness I use for climbing. It can attach mag pouches but when using a shirt and pants it sometimes bunches up. I figure a 1 piece coverall would work better.
Pic related is my model. I took up climbing because rope repelling down the side of a building with an MP5SDduring SHTF seemed somewhat likely. Plus fun.
