He'll yeah brother that's what we used 80 years ago in the war

I shill the fuck out of these guys in her cause they are K as fuck. Yet rarely does anyone follow through and try them out

Honestly synthetic automotive oil is the best (a billion dollar industry like. MOBIL 1 TENDS TO MAKE QUALITY SHIT FOR METAL TO METAL SURFACES THAT GET EXTREMELY HOT,)

Any other brands that charge a lot are bogus as fuck. And the best ones are relabeled motor oil of various viscosity weights.

5w 30
always for my AK's and AR's

>not wanting superior lubrication
>not wanting less wear

go ahead use oil.

>j00 flag

Only one appropriate answer

Attached: go_juice_grease_1_1.jpg (1200x1200, 80K)

Mpro7 line of products are THE best after trying nearly everything. I also like ALG go-juice.

Molykote

hoppes, ballistol and mil spec grease

Been using it for years.
>in before it's crisco

>openly sucking israel's cock
no thanks

i am but a simple farmer tending to my memes and i endorse this shit here

Attached: 496041[1].jpg (880x660, 38K)

may as well use sea water

WD40 Cleans
Ballistol lubes and store
Moly grease slides and cams

what's wrong with rem oil?

Attached: 1528763140161.jpg (745x655, 103K)

Ballistol for oil and ballistol mixed with water for cleaning. Soak an AR bolt in that and it will remove the carbon with minimal scrubbing.
Any synthetic molly grease for general lubrication. Molly antisieze for really heavy duty lube.

Nothing. It works fine. I personally like ballistol but rem oil works well.

It's just mineral oil.

Its mineral oil. Its a solvent. Use it as a cleaner. Do not use it as an oil. If you use it as a preservative oil it will evaporate and your gun will rust.

lsa because it looks like coom

Prior answers are okay enough so here's a meme answer

Attached: 0c8271dc-7325-4b92-bc3d-97d7a34fae78.jpg (1200x1200, 225K)

Son of a bitch. Is hops lubricant better? Have an older gun that was getting rust spots didn't think it was the remoil

it says same great lubricant since 1913, they be doing something right.

>meme answer
you do know where you are, don't you?

Attached: raifu.jpg (1920x1080, 421K)

What is a good lubricant for a gun then

>Mineral oil is a solvent
"No"

Attached: e59.gif (450x338, 983K)

Right now I'm just using Hoppe's because I was gifted some.

As for what's best...
dayattherange.com/?page_id=3667

Local small brand of cleaner and oil. Cleaner takes gunk out while being very very mild on the finish. Doesn't even strip Arsenal's paint which is known for its lack of durability. Oil works I guess.

Grease for heavy stuff like M1, FAL, AK, VZ58 etc. Rand's HAWG seems to work good. Wish I had Waffenfett.

Oil is for protecting
Grease is for lubricating

the fags saying it's mineral oil are wrong.

rem oil is an evaporating lube that is teflon impregnated. it's just a low viscosity propellant with microscopic chunks of teflon polymer in it.

it's ass at protecting against rust and is a pretty crap lube in general. just use motor oil like a normal person

Or you look up objective testing like: and buy Frog Lube.

Attached: gay frogs.png (1280x1137, 927K)

this is ironic right?

yeah, they got some fudds to the drink the kool-aid and they've been perpetuating it ever since

just buy the cheapest full synthetic shit in a tub from Wal Mart or the auto parts store.

frog lube is literally coconut oil with a mint additive, it was proven by mass spectrometer.
also pretty sure that it was a shill article because
>we contacted all of these brands and froglube was the only one who responded. what a coincidence!

youtu.be/y38ydg9B5x8

It is shit for storage but alright for regular use.

CLP breakfree

Motor oil will be the best you can get, same for grease.

It is decent and will work better since it's actually lubricant but it is definitely not the best

Attached: 1535409990548.jpg (800x600, 85K)

shit, and hasn't even met the mil spec for like 6 years, look it up, military doesn't even use it.

please tell me this is some sort of boomer meme
please..

Well, when i dropped 2k on that SLR104ur SBR the manual told me to only use that shit.

Also forgot to mention the H and K cleaning kit i bought for my sp5k also came with CLP to use. So I imagine if my two guns with 5k plus in them and have both manufacturers suggesting its use, it's probably good to go.

>nobody has said hoppes 9
fags

Two fucking people said hoppes, you dipshit. Learn 2 Ctrl+F.

So this is a honeypot troll thread right? 80% shitposts, 20% morons? Is it fun to post this shit?

as a scientist, I can tell you that's a crap test. Smearing some goo on a piece of metal and sitting it outside with a sample size of one is not a good evaluation of lubricants. You can throw a test like that in any way you want, which is evidenced by the fact that froglube won. It's just canola oil with added odors and is perfect evidence of how dumb the gun community can actually be when new magical products appear on the market.

You are not going to beat an industrial, automotive, or aviation lubricant or rust protector by buying a $11/oz bathtub brew "gun lube" that doesn't list it's ingredients or properties.

oy vey

Attached: 1487135832349.png (209x97, 26K)

Lubriplate SFL-0 grease.

Lubegard cause sperm whale oil -synthesized-
And kroil cause it kreeps

The lube market is over saturated with overpriced concoctions. If you aren't using motor oil and bearing grease you throwing away money. /thread go fuck yourself op

Attached: 7575785678.jpg (1433x1075, 160K)

I got into it on r/guns a while ago with a dude who was saying motor oils arent made for guns and that it will eat into the metal. I told him oil is oil, I could use olive oil if i wanted. Dude said i had to go buy a "gun" oil or my gun would be ruined. Then in typical reddit fashion, i lost all my little points for having an opposing opinion and calling the dude a fucking moron.

I repent for occasionally using r/gundeals

I use Pro Gold for most applications and RemOil where I don't

>price much less retarded than fireclean
>nontoxic unlike motor oil
>lasts several range sessions and makes cleanup easier
>comes in grease form for slide rails and older firearms

Shameless fanboy here, who else part of the Slip 2000 train?

Attached: file.png (600x600, 546K)

This silver shit is recycled automotive oil. I know because I tried it and had it tested for $20. Complete scam

Isn't fireclean literally crisco?

>nontoxic unlike motor oil
Motor oil isn't toxic unless it's used.

I use lucas gun oil

Would this actually work well?

no

water based sex lube is just glycerine, water, and cosmetic additives. it isn't meant to interface with metal, inhibit rust, dissolve carbon into itself, or withstand heat. it's just slippery watery goo.

silicone based sex lube might fare a little better since it doesn't dry out but it's probably got the same issues with heat

I tried it once.. meh. Saw no difference between it and 10w30 function wise.

Glycerine is the primary ingredient in glycerine suppositories designed to irritate the colon, and instigate a bowel movement. I honestly had a good laugh at the idea of sex lube containing a substance used to make somebody explosively shit.

Samefag here, just picturing replacing a fag friend of mines lube with the glycerine I use for my vape mixing.

I'm an asshole.

I use this on slide rails. I also used this in a 10/22, the buildup just wiped off.

Attached: 71eI+q45ecL._SL1500_.jpg (1125x1500, 76K)

Do it. Make a special batch of 30mg.

Nothing other than people hating Remington when they should really hate the Hedge Fund Company that bought them.

>vape mixing
You do know that stuff is almost indistinguishable from sex lube?

>dayattherange.com/?page_id=3667
Oh look a fake test that are not repeatable and totally aren't pushing one brand.

>r/guns
How about you go back there and stay this time faggot.

Attached: 1535989599001.png (628x394, 442K)

bro it's all just glycerine and proplyene glycol

google literally any water based sex lube, it's all the same shit

Attached: glyceryn.png (647x379, 44K)

Attached: wet.png (1157x638, 153K)

guns are machines, I use machine grease and oil

Attached: ky liquid.png (660x246, 40K)

What did he mean by this

Please. Wet Platinum is the only thing I put on my gun.

>search for Wet Platinum
>this pops up on my Amazon

guess I'm never running for public office. We watchlist now

Attached: wet platinum.png (1092x704, 244K)

motor oil is non toxic.

why would you get watchlisted for sex lube? are you in canada?

WTF, why EDTA ? This is for chemistry and not a pussy!

qwoth wikipedia:

Cosmetics

In shampoos, cleaners, and other personal care products, EDTA salts are used as a sequestering agent to improve their stability in air.[15]

fireclean is most likel (muh industry secret) non food grade rapeseed oil
aka canola oil not sold for cooking
aka gun oil from the 1930's

Yeah; like your semi-auto has higher levels of heat and friction than an engine running 2000 RPM for several hours

nlgi 1.5 lithium grease is the king of ar lubes

Engines have cooling systems. Their normal operating temperature is barely above the boiling point of water.

bad-dragon.com/products/cumlube

Ballistol and Lucas grease.

it lubricates, cleans AND prevents rust.

PEG is the basis of a number of laxatives.[11] Whole bowel irrigation with polyethylene glycol and added electrolytes is used for bowel preparation before surgery or colonoscopy.

Attached: 1535293242008.png (201x226, 73K)

I wouldn't use olive oil since it has a high sodium content and low simple smoke point.

lel
my buddy used some high pressure grease on his hk and it did the same thing

this is my favorite shit. clear, doesnt smell, doesn't run, and isn't so tacky as to do though if I'm lazy I'll use pic related
