P30, P30L or VP?
>It's just another thinly veiled HK general
P30L, but the VP9 is great.
P30L, any other answer is wrong
New prices seem pretty high these days for a USP Compact 9mm. Anyone know where I can get one for under $700?
P2000. Same functionality, superior aesthetics and less meme-tier. Not to mention it's the original HK backwards cartridge gun.
It's more that I always hear the USP Tactical is better than the Mk23 in all the important ways.
An HK45 I'm sure is more modernized and practical than both, but it doesn't have any cool factor in my eyes that both the USP and Mk23 have.
>factory reloads
And people say Walthers are ugly...
I desire the pocket lifestyle
Nice Rami. Harry's claw? What holster?
Stingray. Im the guy recommending it to everybody
>better than the Mk23 in all the important ways.
What ways? It's smaller, that's it.
People say a lot of things, like you're straight, obviously they're wrong on all accounts.
Ergos are fucking shit compared to a P series gun. Stop memeing.
Thought you meant Ruger P Series for a second and did a doubletake.
It's pretty great but you have to wear cargo pants all the time.
*snap*
Isn't size the main problem with the Mk23? If one gun does the same things another gun does, but is normal sized instead of giant, isn't that better?
I also understand it's more modular than the Mk23.
are most front pockets too small or something? I refuse to wear cargos in public.
If you're into grips that feel like shit with no character. You get accustomed to whatever gun you use often enough and a P2000 will kill a person just as dead as a P30 all while looking twice as good.
I used to carry side cargo pocket but I realized it's not that noticeable in a front pocket.
But then you got phone, keys, wallet, knife, first aid shit, extra mag...
Glock 19
phone goes in hip pocket, along with wallet on opposite side. keys on carabiner hooked to belt loop. knife clipped to weak side front pocket, where first aid lives.
>If you're into grips that feel like shit with no character
You mean like the P2000 which feels about as bad as a Glock? While the USP and P2000 look better in the slide, the p30/vp9/hk45 feel good in the hand.
Someone make me a 1903 holster. I'm going to also need to have a holster custom made for my APX once I get the SBAL on it.
Not at the drop of a hat. You'll have to watch for-sale ads religiously.
>What ways? It's smaller, that's it.
Well you proved his point with just that, the Mark 23's main pitfall.
It's also lighter, significantly cheaper and can use adjustable sights. It's essentially the same in all other qualities. There's a reason literally no organization on planet Earth uses Mark 23s anymore.
Also take it easy on user man
is you sayin stovepipes caint happen with non-reloads?
>Garrett custom
Oh damn, muh benis. How do you like it?
The Mk23 has a zeroing method with factory sight sets.
>All the important ways
>Like size, weight, and cost
>And how prolific it is
That's why Glock is the only gun anyone should ever buy, great job Burt, you played yourself.
Okay, so literally the "all the important ways" is actually "it's smaller" why couldn't you just say that?
If you put any other trigger group in a USP tactical it's no longer a Tactical, it's just a USP with Tactical written on the slide, so that's not really an argument in favor of the USP45t as much as it is the USP in general.
>same round count and features as mk23
>Not the size of a desert eagle
>Plastic trigger
>It's not actually that much smaller
Why not carry all three?
>is you sayin stovepipes caint happen with non-reloads?
It wasn’t a stovepipe.
>One has superior safety decockers design that is modifiable and innovative by today's standards
>The other is the size of a desert memegal
>desert memegal
kek
How about a picture of them both at 90 degrees on their own seperate scales? Or a side by side comparison of them holstered on an average sized human being?
It's like there was an evolution on design.
FUCK. I love Glock again.
Wait no, they're still disrespectfully overpriced with awful ergonomics, stop playing with my mind.
The holster is well made. I'm still experimenting with where and how I'll use it. Garrett is an awesome company, details aside, they did some incredible manufacturing backflips for me at their own insistence of perfection and I'm really impressed with their CS and ownership. I hope to have more opportunity to patronize them.
Might want to explain what it is, as it's not obvious then. That brass looks 100% the same as a piece of brass chomped between the slide and barrel.
K, I'll do it when I get home
>One has a safety that can decock the gun if you press it too hard under stress
>The other has separate controls that negate eachother when activated
Look, I love both guns, you "people" just have an irrational hatred for the Mk23 for some reason.
>Wait no, they're still disrespectfully overpriced with awful ergonomics, stop playing with my mind.
Cheaper than most options and $430 with the easy as shit to use blue label, ergonomics weren't part of the "most important" criteria being used but they have replacement backstraps, and they're prolific as all hell.
In the least your argument forces you to admit they're "better" than HK and most Walther guns.
Also, this argument basically reduces it down to "if you don't just buy Glock or M&P pistols you're wrong" which is the cancer killing the gun industry, and ignorant as hell.
What is the best double stack compact for carry?
G19
USPc, P2000, Px4 Compact, Glock 19, more.
>Oh nooooo it's so massive
Slack jawed faggots I swear
The beauty of the USP is that you can make it decocker only or safety only, or both if you want to. And the safety lever actually is decent for safety only use
G19
The Mk23 is decocker only or safety only though. All it loses is the ability to do both at once.
That's a safety sized for child soldiers though
Just saying, that's the logical conclusion of that argument, Glock or M&P. I hate that argument and it basically says "I'm a dull faggot that actually doesn't like guns but has to use them" that's why Glock are the Toyota Camry of CCWs, because it's what you buy when you're a soulless robot that just cares about statistics and thinks car enthusiasts don't take the tool seriously.
On the one hand, it's a Glock 19. But on the other hand it's a free country and carrying the gun you like best probably won't get you killed.
Good leather IWB holsters for supcompacts that are /hg/ approved?
Galco Stow 'n' Go
Is the GSSF membership worth it for blue label pricing? I want to buy a new G19/G30SF
Glock 30 FTW. 9mm may kill your body but 45 kills your soul.
Anyone have any of the Ruger blackhawk/super Blackhawk bisleys? I kind of want one, either a .44 mag or the .45 LC/.45 acp convertible. I had wanted the .454 casull version but they've disappeared, now there's only the .480 Ruger ones which I don't want.
Alternatively I guess I could consider a super Redhawk or stick to autoloaders and get a G40
Don hume
Yeah I think so, next Glock I but would be thru gssf. You just need to have a dealer near you.
I got a 45 colt Blackhawk
Choosing between an EC9s or a PPS. PPS is like double the price of the EC9 after taxes and shit, should I even bother with the EC9 though since it has milled in sights?
Get the Walther
CCfags: Do you carry a backup gun? If so, what's your main and what's the backup?
I like my DeSantis Sof-Tuck, but I'm a poorfag so buy something better if you can afford it.
Sometimes I carry a snub .38 or a .357 USP compact as a backup. Depends on if I'm planning on being in a really shitty area.
My main is a 1st gen 9mm Shield, backup is a Smith 638. I feel like a pirate, walking around with multiple handguns strapped to me.
How's blackarch/steath gear for hybrid posters? I've been looking at JM kydex but no iwb style grabs me, was looking at 4 30 carry
>implying that's a bad thing
>what you buy when you are a soulless robot
used Acura
why an EC9s and not an LC9s?
if you are stuck between the two, only
piggybacking off of user, what is the ideal place to backup carry?
>ankle
>pocket
>weak-side IWB
>boot
>other
Quint-posting, beyond faggotry.
Shut up Meg.
actually it's quadposting
one was posted in error
Not him, I find the new grips no more comfortable than a P2000
>Also, this argument basically reduces it down to "if you don't just buy Glock or M&P pistols you're wrong" which is the cancer killing the gun industry, and ignorant as hell.
Except that that's correct. And it doesn't really kill anything that doesn't need to die. How many people carry Bergmanns or S&W Single Actions? Those things were huge in their time. But everything involved with making them is dead outside high-price recreational shooting.
Now, there's a lot of memes on this site. CZ-75? Great gun, and huge, but a total meme. Same with the Hi-Power, 1911, etc., etc., etc.
But you chose the Mk 23, a gun that was in no way ever mean to be a sidearm at all, a (naked) 2.5 lb gun of colossal proportions. That's a next-level meme. Stop acting silly. The HK Mk 23 has ZERO practical significance for everybody.
ergos is honestly a nebulous concept.
hand size and finger length vary quite a bit.
better things to address are specific things like grip texture (which the P30/VP9 has an advantage over the P2000), or the manual of arms.
desu
he carries the Mark 23 for defense against bears.
he shoots .45 Super, which only a select few guns, including the mark 23, are rated to handle reliably by the manufacturer.
it sounds like you're saying he should choose a mazda speed 3 to haul dirt to a construction site. that's ludicrous.
>likely never in my lifetime
why do you hate us H&K?
we don't suck THAT badly, do we?
Stop talking about something you have zero knowledge about.
It’s embarassing.
Stop posting
You could literally accomplish the same thing with a Glock 20 or USP 45
it's like how *in theory* the burst selector for the m16 was a good idea.
even when the mk23 was created, the mp5sd had already existed and is quieter than the mk23.
>the MP5SD had already existed
would you rather have a Mark 23 and a real SBR, or only a MP5SD? that's not as easy a question to answer as you suggest.
Spider web grip is gay as fuck
It might be gay as fuck but it feels good in your hand
Exactly. Just like his mother.
Tfw first new handgun I've ever bought.
Off to a shit start tbqh
It's my 6th handgun? Cheap beater carry piece bb
>Not a Judge or a PT92
you fucked up user, cmon man
Anyone know of a good light bearing holster that has a far forward cant? I love my CTACs but CompTac doesn't make light bearing ones that aren't Glock. Looking for one for my P01 and USP45 compact.
So you buy nice used guns and shitty new guns? I do it the other way around.
Something like that
>Judge
You can't be serious
>Pt92
>For carry
Big think
It's pretty beefy for a CC gun. Don't think there is really enough quantifiable difference to justify not carrying a slightly smaller, more easily concealable pistol. For duty or car pistol, why not, but for day to day I say no.
There is literally nothing wrong with shooting guns and sucking cock, you absolute faggot.
That's a fictional gun made by a poster on HKPro, a photoshoped picture :)
Any suggestions for a holster for my FNX 45?
>nobody local carries holsters for my handgun
>can't try shit out to see what i like
Fuck me running.
