First for DONT DO IT

Thanks. I’m about to graduate with a degree in International Relations. I’ve thought long and hard about why I want to join the army: mainly because I know I can hack it (no qualms about getting shot at), and also would like to acquire technical skills (want to learn to do shit with my hands for once). I’ve thought about either Engineer Officer or Combat Engineer, which should I go?
*appx. I don’t want to be a paper pusher (or else Id join the AF) and money is no object for me at this moment.

Meg has nothing to do with Jow Forums and belongs on Jow Forums.

If you enlist you are nothing but a boolicker zionist who serves the very people who intend to disarm him in civilian life.

Oh i am a shabbos goyim oh that's just what i am and for my people i do not give a damn. I am glad i fight against them, i hope Israel will win. I aint ask and pardon for anything i have done.

I have served in shalom temple since i was a child, had my foreskin removed and punched my nazi gramps

Sounds like you're the one who belongs on Jow Forums here.

American government is shilling on here out of desperation.

The country itself has not been in an actual war for decades. Fighting small sandnigga miltias who often have ww2 era weapons is not a war.

They just need dumb people to get killed for them so they can pretend that it's an actual war.

>graduated with a international relations degree
>about to join army

Are you me?

Unless you join the coast guard

Is having had cosmetic surgery disqualifying? Its nothing they could be detected at MEPs but would show up on a dental xray.

you realize you get your mouth x-rayed, right? they start their own dental records on you early on. i don't think they do it at meps but i could be failign to recall.
what is it? I don't imagine it'd be a DQ but iunno.

Well i've already done meps and there was no xray. It's a chin implant. I figured they would do one eventually, but that if I was already at my unit by time I got xrayed that nobody would care.

they do it at whatever basic you go to, once they first take a look at your teeth.
idk if they'll flip shit or not over it. seems like a nonissue but the mil is notoriously dumb so... yeah.
cant help.

few questions:

best mos for pipelining into DEA/SS special agent work?

best mos for pipelining into president of the united states? preferably enlisted

does sigint/humint attached to sf or in group get to do any operating or is it more fobbit tier shit?

army 35 series or navy ct series?

answer: stop being a fag

Attached: 1525574167206.jpg (500x375, 65K)

Why can't I get a gold tooth replacement in the Navy? :(

Was 35P at group, it depends. A SOT-A has to follow the ODA wherever they go but you have to remember that while you want to be a doorkicker, you aren't a doorkicker. The greenhats don't need more operators, they can do that themselves. What they need is competent SIGINT support that isn't going to be a liability in combat. That's it. Do that and they'll fucking love you. Try and LARP Call of Duty while you're downrange and ignore your actual job and they'll send you back to be a SOT-B. Nobody wants to be a SOT-B.

Found the PT washout, guys!

if you're scared or insecure about being a "fobbit" and think you won't contribute enough, then just go 11b before you end up hating your job and yourself.

Also I am genuinely pretty sure there's been less than 5 POTUS's who were ever enlisted in their life.

>best mos for pipelining into president of the united states? preferably enlisted
Ocs then 4 years as an MI officer.
Dead serious, an enlisted career is a surefire way to kill a political career before it starts, regardless of mos.
Politicians with an enlisted background do not speak of their service in anything other than broad strokes, because their civil service careers far outshine anything done in uniform.

>Also I am genuinely pretty sure there's been less than 5 POTUS's who were ever enlisted in their life
1. Only 1. James Buchanan, a drafted private in the war of 1812.
Everyone else who claimed military service has been an officer of varying degrees of seniority.
Dubya was an o-2 in the Texas ANG. He was our last guy that even knew how to shine shoes.

Jow Forums I am currently in the recruiting process for the Canadian Forces and I am very worried they will find out of my past medical history.
My idiot mother prescribed me to anti-depressants from the ages of 12-15 (because I was a little bitch) and I did not mention this on the medical exam I took.
I kinda want to make the military my lifelong career, so what are the odds I'm gonna get caught and booted out for lying?

>best mos for pipelining into DEA/SS special agent work?

Officer

>best mos for pipelining into president of the united states? preferably enlisted
>enlisted
Given the way things work now if you want to be POTUS you probably shouldn't join at all. But if there is an answer it's minimum obligation as an officer in a non-retarded branch and GTFO.

Pretty understandable, was there any other 35 guys with you like M/N or L? Am primarily interested in those because I don't want to do DLI

fuck no I'm not, I'm just curious what the work life is like once you're doing intel work in group, I don't mind either since I'm not trying to get popped in africa like those green berets, I'm just asking questions for knowledge

yeah that's what is looking like the plan so far

looks like officer is probably gonna be the way to go, green to gold here we go

never thought david goggins would choke up. hit me right in the gut
youtube.com/watch?v=mJMwKQSovjo

bump
I'm freaking out

>wanting to die for israel

America's military should just be renamed Israeli reserves. If you're part of america's military in any way shape or form, you're a slave to israel. That's a fact.

What about any other NATO military?

British, Polish, yes just as much good goy as the americans. French and German armies, despite being NATO, haven't really been Israel's boots on the ground as much as the yanks and brits have.

Thinking about joining the army (Australian btw), how well accepted are gays in the army now? Anyone have any stories?

So exactly how much shit can the Army find in my medical history? I've been avoiding doctors most of my life to avoid a paper trail but I got kinda busted up recently and I don't know whether I should check in and lie about it later or rub some dirt in it and wait for it to either get better or kill me.

What the fuck is wrong with you that you need to hide

but I'm jewish. Why wouldn't I fight for my interests?

If you are a pt stud and do well in class you can quick start as a 35m with JSOC. You will basically be an operator at that point;) But there is a possibility you will deploy with an combat unit and you can "hang" with them because you may be on ur own

35m is now required a language.

Hahahahaha this guy thinks Judaism has anything to do with Israel. Bruh, unless you're a Jew actually IN Israel you're being used by them..... If anything you're just a small step above regular run of the mill Goyim

ACL tear, couple broken bones in the past, various aches and pains associated with blue collar work. Nothing visibly apparent.

no-one cares faggot

Good to hear

At what point does over-training set in? Would it be more efficient to do 5 workouts from c25k and 100 push ups a week, and then take weekends off?

They take poofs don't worry Bruce

But how well are they treated?

As well as anyone else in the army which is not especially well

Caffeine has zero effect on me anymore guys, how do I stay awake on duty

>Dubya was an o-2 in the Texas ANG.
One can tell the centrist or slightly left, Republicans by how they squeal when President Trump wants all illegals to vacate the US.
Dubya is on the libtard left when it comes to bashing Trump.

dip

meth

Coffee. Not stupid energy drinks. Walk around and do something interesting while you sit there. Duty is easy dude cmon

dip to stay awake? are you retarded?

Dude, if you want a SOF career, you're going to have to bite the bullet and go to DLI. 35N's get to be SOT-A's, but only if they have a language. 35M's are now a language dependent MOS. There aren't any billets for counterintelligence guys at group as far as I know.

How old is too old to stop dreaming about joining the marines?

I'm 23, graduated last year and hate working in a corporation. I've always fantasized about being a marine, but I'm worried I'm getting too old. I've heard 25 is the cutoff point for not being a laughing stock

I don't dip but so many people say that. Idk if that guys just spreading milarky but it's commonly said. As a non dipper I assumed it had merit desu

Met plenty of older guys that are older than 25 who joined. Don't worry but please don't be stupid about it.

Dip does keep you awake, wtf are you retarded?

>Walk around and do something interesting while you sit there
Duty in the army is a joke, he may have duty in the navy

Just took AFQT from the army recruiter and I scored 45, now in the process of filing my packet, what jobs is going to be available for me?

If you go officer you're likely going to be a paper pusher. They are the middle management of the military.

Anyone have experience going up against a medical board? I would very much like to stay in and fulfill my contract at the very least.

t. brokedick enlisted guy

Attached: Thinking_Face_Emoji.png (640x640, 101K)

duty in the navy is also a joke brah

no it isnt brah, its annoying as fuck. You dont know what youre talking about

3 section for years, I do know what I'm talking about you crybaby

what ship were you in where you had 3 section duty? Mine sweeper? And if you were then how do you consider being stuck on onboard for 24hrs every 3 days not gay?

>ship
lel

Also getting a day to spend bullshitting with your boys, avoiding home obligations, working on your quals, getting maintenance prepped, etc is not a bad thing.

Attached: 1485965824222.jpg (693x693, 440K)

>Can only do 4 pullups
>Have to do AT LEAST 12 within the next 2 months
I'm not gonna make it, am I

Attached: 1531786655511.jpg (680x583, 47K)

ok so in other words you didnt stand real duty on a ship which is the majoirty of people not your special situation whatever it was you retarded faggot

11B

I joined at 22, you’ll be fine dude.

I love duty in the army, I don’t have to do PT and I get to play video games all day.

maybe a boat..?

Why are all skimmers such pretentious know-it-alls and whiney children?

Attached: 1530080145622.jpg (334x334, 88K)

>gets to see sunlight every single day of his entire career
>has the gall to whine about duty

Attached: 1518883230445.gif (301x405, 2.52M)

nigger no one is whining im putting it into context
nigger instead of making me guess and playing this game just tell me what class you were on for fucks sake

>literally "submarines are not real ships"
>i'm putting it into context!!!

Cry more, you wouldn't last a week.

Attached: 1530385483948.jpg (1024x1011, 84K)

>tfw need to start getting in shape for boot camp
>tfw lazy

They’ll whip you into shape anyways, don’t worry about it.

yeah but i won't get my bonus if i don't pass the first fitness assessment

How about the reverse here? Do 18E's ever get to do any SIGINT work with SOT-A?

>>literally "submarines are not real ships"
?
You never said you were on a sub you mentally retarded faggot

Again, know it all literal mental child.

It's ok bro, just go out on the smoke deck and play some Xbox on your duty day, you'll be a mature adult one day.

Can someone please reply? Apparently the government here takes 4-8 weeks to process your medical and "review" your medical history. Are they seriously going to find out I lied? I've stayed away for doctors for about 5 years now.
All the guys on the Canadian Forces forums and subreddit are saying it's a guarantee that I will be found out and imprisoned.

>Again, know it all literal mental child.
what?

How strict are they about the duckealk at meps? Because I can’t do it from a straight out bottomed out squat, but If I push myself up a bit, I can do it. How fucked am I?

I struggled doing it in my own practice, but honestly once I got there, and they gave the instruction, I executed flawlessly. Also it's only as strict as the doctor wants it to be. They gave a fat boy a bunch of opportunities to 'complete' the exercise. But, then fat boy just literally couldn't get up from his knees without using his hands, so pretty sure he failed.

not that he was anywhere close to making weight anyway, i can't believe they even scheduled him to show up unless it was just a joke, nice kid though.

how do I stop spending all my fucking pay

Attached: stock-photo-businessman-holding-gun-to-head-18883252.jpg (450x320, 28K)

it's easy. they're not really that strict. I squat a lot so I was able to get down pretty low but there was a kid next to me that passed that was only doing like a 3/4 or 1/2 squat

kek

do pushups fatty

Attached: kekorson.jpg (225x225, 7K)

stop buying shit, stupid. you don't need most of it, and it's just filling up your barracks room and will be a pain in the ass when you move. stop eating BK and at the AAFES food court. go to the commissary, buy groceries, and make your own meals in a crock pot or whatever.

next time you're on amazon and want to buy some piece of bullshit, close your browser and think about the thing you REALLY want, the thing you're saving money for.

(a gf)

So I'm going to be in TRADOC for about two years minimum. If don't really spend cash anything besides maybe a couple pairs of boots and something clothing every now and then, how much can I save here? I'll be coming in as an E2.

But I just can't stop spending money. It's not all the shit that I budget for it's the shit I don't budget for. A little $20 here, a $15 there, and sometimes a $60 too. Suddenly my bank account is a goose egg again until the 15th.

what? are you an ammo handler or something?
your pay will be the same as most anyone who doesn't get COLA. you'll be CONUS afaik. you can save as much as you don't spend. the big one is making your own meals and not buying fatty cakes from fast food joints or the shoppette. also, go easy on the booze. or if you must at least buy bottom shelf shit. don't pay more than $20-$25 for a handle.

>22
>Attending college
>Not doing too well with classes and I'm afraid of disappointing parents
>Friend of mine recommended me the airforce as a back up plan since I'm pretty good with calculus and some programming
>Told me to work 4 years of some high tech job and another 4 as a chopper gunner/mechanic
>Told me that after my contract ends I can.get a job with almost any company and even do merc. work

how viable is this? Will I make a stable income

Attached: FB_IMG_1536044537344.jpg (720x405, 28K)

i know that feel bruh. it gets better when you rank up a little. just gotta deal and enjoy it. those were my salad days tbhwy, before i started drinking i couldn't think of anything to spend money on until i started getting into shortwave radios and shit.

Then start working out now boy

just be yourself man

Your friend's a moron.
Finish school.
If you don't have the discipline to do well in school, you won't have the discipline to do well in the mil.
Mil is only a leg up for people with no legs to begin with.

>Told me to work 4 years of some high tech job and another 4 as a chopper gunner/mechanic
Why? Just stick to something, become a subject matter expert, and do contractor work. And the mercenary work you’re talking about with that experience means you’ll just be a gate guard for some private company in a foreign country.

Anybody got any enlistment info on an EU citizen moving to London, I don't know if they'll accept me since I'm not an anglo citizen.

Attached: squaddie.jpg (1728x1438, 1.69M)

What if I wanna do something more interesting with my life? I honestly hate it, I rarely get to spend time with my family anymore, I'm almost always stuck in my room studying and I dont even have much time to play video games anymore ir hang out with friends. At least working gave me a cjance to socialize with friends and coworkers

Write down your actual expenses you have to pay. Add those up per paycheck. Keep that amount and maybe a bit extra you allow. Not much though maybe 100.
Throw the rest in savings.
Also tsp or Roth are friends.

Then set a limit on your cards. Have some fucking discipline man

Your friend is full of shit. Doubt he's served and if he did he made poor decisions.
Ask yourself, is he successful? Probably not. Get a degree you're already getting to the parts that matter.
Also no branch cares about your programming and calculus
