Just buy one from the Mexican cops.
7.62x39 pistol and 16" 5.56 pls
>thst disgusting waffle shit on the magwell and grip
Whyyyyy
Because it effectively increases strength while saving weight.
Just buy a SCAR or an ACR.
Brens are chumpbait.
CZ pistols are great tho
But user, that is a pistol.
>Bolt release inside trigger guard as well
>Bolt lock inside trigger guard
Why would they do this? Seems like a bad idea just like the BAD lever. They should've just put a bolt catch/release on the other side. I'm surprised they kept the non-replaceable grip too.
I kinda want one just to have a goofy ass GIGN clone.
The Bren 2 will come in 308 and is basically a SCAR killer. It comes with a far better trigger out of the box, a more durable design, and a non-reciprocating charging handle. It's also piss easy to convert to accept different magazines.
The ACR will be usurped by the MSBS.
FN and Remington BTFO
Not to mention the fact that'll it'll be around $1,500 cheaper than the SCAR.
You would be really sad if you knew what LEO pricing for a SCAR 17 was.
Real-talk: if this is good and takes AK mags I’d consider selling my AK for it. Sure, it’s not an AK but does the AK do anything better than this?
If Bren 2 has 7.62x39 capability as well as 5.56, I'll buy.
I don't think it will take AK mags. Proprietary waffle mags of some kind iirc.
That looks beyond retarded
There’s a vid on YouTube where a cz rep says they have a adapter for ak mags. Hopefully it won’t be picky.
I’m sure it’s huge. As long as Fn has mil contracts they don’t need to compete for the civilian market. Could bite them in the end, kinda like colt.
Want one in 556 bad
That would be righteous, I’m pretty hot and bothered by the thought of a 762x39 that ergonomic and modular. I just don’t want to do the proprietary mag dance.
Keep tell yourself that, poorfag.
What's so special about it?
Where's the source on this? All I've heard and seen of the Bren 2 is that it's in 7.62x39 and 5.56.
Same. Tired of fucking with dove tail mounts, midget stocks, and chin weld. Sounds about as close to a modern Sig 556R as I can get.
If they make a 7.62x39 version, I'll buy it
Only option for a solid 7.62x39 rifle that isn't an AK is the Galil ACE
Leo pricing is dirt cheap user.
I don't blame you. I never bought any AK mags so I would probably just be a proprietary mag user. I like the idea of a dual caliber fighting rifle.
cnet.com
The new def dist files have been released.
Huge as in the discount. The scar shouldn’t be more than 2k, we have cod fags to blame.
the one linked in OP is x39
Man you got my hopes up, I didn't know FN had a discount for LEO/MIL. I checked and the Scar is still $3000 after their $500 discount :(
Department pricing and discount pricing aren't the same user.
I realized that's probably what you meant, but my hopes are still dashed :(
why does it fucking matter when it's already polymer and it probably saves an ounce of weight at most. just ship it with smaller sights.
waffle aesthetics are shit
Yeah. I was gonna say. I get the LEO discount with FN and they're still 2600-2750. I didn't realize they were over 3000 normally.
One of the main criticisms of the Bren 1 is weight. By shaving ounces here and there, the overall weight of the Bren 2 is reduced by a couple of pounds. I don't think CZ was thinking "Gosh, I hope gun nerds on the internet like it!"
its utilitarian
Have you heard of the good word of the PTR32?
Is there going to be a carbine version for cuck states whee rifle "pistols" aren't allowed?
Probably. Won't be for awhile though.
>shouldn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t
>CODfag
The real problem here is that you’re poor.
>1/2x28 muzzle.
Have fun attaching a .223/5.56 muzzle and have a baffle strike.
heavy, not modular, shitty about certain mags, muh jaw weld
Sorry to ruin your dreams. My dream gun in a mac 10 with a lage slow fire upper, so I feel your pain, even at "only" ~10k shekels for a machine gun I still have lots of pennies to save to get there one day.
The PTR 32 is far better and cheaper than that ungly kike trash
I own a PTR91 and have handled the 32. I dig the G3 but its size and manual of arms is not what I’m looking for in an AK replacement.
I’m okay with the waffle magwell but that stock is ugly....
>Sure, it’s not an AK but does the AK do anything better than this?
In the Pakistani test, the Bren accuracy is worse than the Russian AK.
its comfy so who cares
was meant for
I would probably be willing to blame ammo and favoritism there.
>The Bren 2 will come in 308
lolwut? No they won't, CZ hasn't said shit wout the Bren 2 in .308 or 7.62NATO, all the heresay is from them mention "7.62" and we all know there's two "7.62" that matters and we already know the Bren comes in x39
Damnit I just blew a bunch of money on an AR build assuming the 806 wouldn't be out for another year at least.
I heard that the 805 was so heavy because it originally was supposed to have a polymer upper, but they changed it to aluminum and kept the polymer dimensions. The bren 2 is designed grom the ground up as an aluminum upper.
just wait. The first couple batches will be gobbled up. You should have cash by the time the demand slows down a bit.
That is true. I try to avoid the first batch of any product.
>SCAR killer
>SCAR killer.
no
also i think it is in 7.62x39, not 7.62 NATO
but I would be interested in a 7.62x39 one though. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
It will be a toss up between this and the VZ58
well, it's not that the first batch will suck, CZ has been too busy with their own military contracts than making Bren 2's for civilian and import market. It's just that the first few batches will be bought by people with a lot of cash or bad financial choice-making with very little future planning.
CZ is not a company that'll be gone in the next few years. Czech Republic doesn't look balls deep in any politics that'll put it into gun ban territory, CZ factory isn't small time literal-who tier factory.
So let the rich fucks and idiots buy up the first few waves of Bren 2's. THEN you go in and pick up a rifle/pistol of the Bren 2. That way, you;re not paying hype prices.
>5.56 Bren 2 weighs only 6 lbs
I'd say thats actually a good reason to get it compared to a normal AR if no .308 version comes out.
Seriously, if CZ can corner the market of fucking over HK and FN in their piston 5.56 meme and churn out reliable rifles for lower prices AND with emphasis on civilian markets, they can literally take the civilian market by fucking storm if they have a solid PR firm backing it.
>7.62x39
>1/2x28 threads
Strange. I predict a lot of people blowing up 223 muzzle brakes and suppressors. Or maybe the seller copypasta'd the 556 version's description?
Either way, when the major calibers release this is gonna be a scar killer. Maybe now FN will have to reduce their prices
>slav shit scar knock off for barely any less than a scar
no thanks
the only thing the BREN had going for it was the 805 was like $1300-$1400 for a while
>scarfags writing off a rifle before it's even out
OK
I'm gonna laugh my ass off when it beats your plastic optics-destroying rifle for $1000 less
stupid newfags
are you implying the bren is any less plastic than a SCAR?
The 17 is what destroys optics you retard.
I thought this was still 6 months ago when 16's where still $2300, but it seems like I was incorrect.
Both are shit value when a AR with high end components can be build for like $1000.
>SCAR17
>$3000~
>HK762
>$4000~
Why in the fuck would anyone who really loves guns want to put down a company who has a solid-capability-but-not-quite-there AND trying to hit it big with their design AND lower price point?
Like fucking why? I get the whole lolfuckyoupoorfags!!!! But why is supporting and egging on a manufacturer who is still at that phase where they can produce a quality rifle at a fraction of the price to main competitors product a bad thing?
no one really gives a fuck about the SCAR16. Everyone who is going to blow $2500+ on a semi-auto rifle by FN is going to blow it on the 17 for a few hundred more.
Where exactly are you thinking they are selling .308 BREN's?
7.62x39 =/= 7.62x51
The high end 556 market is dumb anyway, a .308 galil is like $1500, same prices as a 5.56 version, anyone with a real concern for practicality would just get an AR instead.
.308 is the only market it makes sense to spend because AR10's are a joke until you start hitting prices where it competes with other stuff like galils and SCARS
>High end components
>1k
Lmaoooo
Maybe if you are a faggot spending $300 on a lower it might be a problem with you.
>the lower is where the money goes
My sides
>The 17 is what destroys optics you retard.
Not the guy you said that to, but don't the trijicon ACOGs actually resist this pretty well?
>hey, I'm thinking of checking out that new steakhouse that just opened.
>psssht, why waste money when you can make a ham sandwich at home for less?
A rifle with a MCMR, FN CHF barrel (not some PSA reject), aero receivers, tool craft carrier group, geissele or larue trigger is completely feasible to build for close to a $1000.
The bolt, barrel, trigger and rail are what makes a rifle, if you aren't needlessly spending money on receivers with roll marks, or parts that add no real practical advantage in a regular 16" middy (like "enhanced" bcg's form LMT or KAC) it's not that difficult.
The 17 kills any shitty or complex optics, ACOG's and Aimpoints hold up from what I read. Cheap optics and variables not so much because of the vibrations hit a certain sweet spot that is really rough on optics.
Poorfag pls go and stay go
>when the major calibers release this is gonna be a scar killer. Maybe now FN will have to reduce their prices
AHAHAHAHAHA
Poorfag wishful thinking
>ACOG's and Aimpoint
is there one that is significantly better in your opinion?
or are they too different to compare?
Red dots vs fixed power optics isn't really comparable.
Go on ar15.com and ask some SCAR owners what they use, as long as it's something military grade like Aimpoint or Trijicon it will probably be good. On a 17 probably an ACOG if you are using .308 for the extended capabilities.
>I hate competition
You seem salty that the one real advantage that the SCAR has (making poorfags mad) might vanish if the 806 is as good as reviews say
better looking stock than the other 806 Bren 2. Same stock as seen in the GIGN photos. Looks like it has an adjustable comb vs the previous 806 Bren 2 stock. Also, the top rifle's lower looks good with AR grip.
>not buying LMT or KAC
>the one real advantage that the SCAR has (making poorfags mad)
Do you just have no critical thinking skills?
Are you fucking retarded?
You sound like such a shill.
Suck my motherfucking dick.
>You seem salty that the one real advantage that the SCAR has (making poorfags mad) might vanish if the 806 is as good as reviews say
the advantage of the SCAR is the .308 actually exists
>t.sweating FN/HK employee
As a "top shelf" non-ar in .308, the SCAR will hold the top spot until B&T has a wider release in the US with their APC in .308. It has Swiss build quality, Swiss exclusivity, and fit the same exact role as the SCAR 17. I think that will be the real competitor to potentially drive SCAR 17S prices down. But then again, I may be wrong.
>potentially drive SCAR 17S prices down.
B&T is already more expensive than scar so its pointless to assume that FN would drop their prices further to make them even more exclusive. Also the B&T aftermarket is 1/10th at best of the scar aftermarket
for what it's worth, there's some website that does conversions of scars to shit like 300 memeout
Does B&T's APC 223 hold up in comparison to the BREN/ACR/SCAR class of weapons? I heard it was a lower quality knock off.
But still high quality because swiss
I still want that apc9 or 45. Kh9 looks cool.
>for what it's worth, there's some website that does conversions of scars to shit like 300 memeout
You can do 7.62x39, 6.5 creed, 300blk, 5.56 and .260rem depending on if 16s or 17s
>Does B&T's APC 223 hold up in comparison to the BREN/ACR/SCAR class of weapons?
Ive extensively shot the SCAR but have spent a lot of time handling the rest. The ACR and BREN as of now are more or less toys. The ACR hit the market 5-10 years late and didnt bring any sort of promised aftermarket. The BREN 1 is a series of bad decisions but the BREN2 promises to fix those. However BREN2 is still left with shit tier aftermarket and the famous cz """"quality"""". The APC from my exeperience is good quality (materials, craftmanship, polymer, etc) but doesnt really do anything better than a scar except be swiss. I actually hate the B&T made skelefolder that they put on everything. Its too low on HK guns and too low on the APC series. Also its not adjustable and is frankly pretty average quality wise.
B&T APC 223 is extremely high quality by comparison. The tolerances are nuts. I don't own one but I've fondled one. The Scar is nice but feels cheap (especially the stock). The CZ 805 feels nicer with a better trigger and glass-like action but is heavy with poor ergonomics. The B&T feels even better than the CZ in terms of build quality, but the ergos are better.
So CZ build quality and glass-like action, but FN ergos. It's a slick fucking rifle, but every time I hold it at the LGS.
If people are willing to spend 3000 on a rifle, they're willing to spend 3500 on a rifle. I was getting at due to the quality and prestige difference between the FN and B&T, I'd say the high rollers are going to go for the B&T 9 times out of 10, meaning FN would have to come a step down on the SCAR 17 price to brings sales back.
Then again, they might not, and it could be truly a halo product (like the toyota supra or the Nissan GTR) to keep brand awareness and perception in good standing.
Why would you buy an ACR? It's not supported at all by Remington.
Oddly enough they’ve started supporting it a little and the aftermarket has had enough time to make stuff. It’s a small but strong community. About a year or so ago yoU could get an ACR for 12-1300 on sale. Now they’re all back up to old prices because demand has come back a little.
Odd I know.
>t. FN
I'm selling my scar 16 to buy this rifle as soon as the 556 version is out. No, I'm not joking. How does this make you feel?
>I'd say the high rollers are going to go for the B&T 9 times out of 10
Even now people arent doing that with the 9mm or 556 offerings of the APC over other platforms. Part of it is a lack of knowledge regarding the platform and the rest of it imo is pedigree, aftermarket and availability.
If B&T wanted to capture more of the US market they should keep bringing in unique things (VP9, TP9,SPR300, USW) rather than entering a market with an established and well respected competitor while providing no advantages other than an perceived (lets be honest here, Switzerland and Belgium are both capable of providing a quality product. We arent comparing Switzerland to Albania or something.) increase in quality.
Doesnt effect me either way
Someone else will be happy to have your 16s
Got pics? I'll buy it.
I'd rather it take VZ 58 mags. You get rock and lock and proper bolt hold open with them.
This. AK mags are only desireable due to their ubiquity and cheapness.
If I’m spending 2k on a rifle then my budget is 5k. Another 2 k on optics and accessories and another k on mags and ammo. Otherwise it’s just a toy, not a tool. Not to say toys are bad...
>I heard it was a lower quality knock off.
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone’s got one.
Worthless opinions are like stinky assholes. Everyone suffers from it at some point, and you should know to stay the fuck away.
It makes me feel that your relative poverty is a symptom of your terminal stupidity.
We don't have BRENs here though?
