Made mine molle compatible, i just sewed 2 strips of webbing across the middle, put buttons on the bottom and sewed 2 strips of webbing only at the to, putting buttons on the bottom, i left the pre existing thing on the back intact.
good to know, thanks
Next question. Anyone mod G3 mags to accept 12G 70mm shells yet?
Bought a ceratec AR it works ok bit the gas block seems to be canted and is touching the handguard is that Ok?
Also my barrel seems to be wanted a little is that normal?
There are cheap adapters on the market, made by that company Sturm Mil-Tec (their products are mostly cheap knockoff crap, but their Bundeswehr-to-ALICE adapters and their legit surplus are actually good). You can get them on Amazon, I think. Just a few bucks each.
Need halp Jow Forums. Is this a good deal? I know its a century, but its cheap.

Your barrel is either warped or the receiver where your free float handguard is not straight (warped). It's also possible your barrels gas port was drilled at a can't, but I highly doubt it. I'd start with a cheapo $50 upper receiver. It that don't straighten it out, look for a cheap free float. If that don't work, then go for the barrel assembly. Start cheap, work your way up, less it's obvious
How would one go about making a homemade night sight for a stainless j-frame?
Why aren't ultralight mortars like France's LGI and Japan's Type 89 used by more militaries?
>greater range than a grenade launcher
>ability to use heavier projectiles
>less bulk hanging off your rifle in comparison to a rifle+UGL makes it easier to use as a rifle
>can be issued in conjunction with launchers like M203/GP25 at the platoon level to give infantry greater firepower and reduce reliance on CAS in lower intensity situations, thereby saving money on aircraft fuel, maintenance, and munitions
Why aren't shoot-through rifle grenade systems used by more militaries? Why have grenade launchers more-or-less replaced rifle grenades in common military use?
>less bulk hanging off your rifle makes it easier to use as a rifle
>rifle grenade system weighs less than a dedicated or underbarrel grenade launcher
>rifle grenade adapters are cheaper to produce than a full-on grenade launcher
>shoot-through system means no fumbling with blank cartridges
>modern polymers would make rifle grenades weigh less than or equal to your typical 40x46mm grenade
>development of miniscule polymer flares compatible with rifle grenade system based on commercial 12ga signal flares would give every rifleman a signalling capacity
>such flares would weigh less than your average parachute pop flares
where can I get some surplus G3 mags

Hypotheticallyy if i found a machine gun that was made b4 the machinegun ban deadline but wasn't registered can i register it or not
thanks senpai
How relevant is it for submachine guns to have a semiauto mode, if rate of fire is not ludicrously high?
I guess another way to ask this would be: let's say you could have a smg because somebody found a loophole in the law: would you rather have a simpler, cheaper one with no fire selector, or a more complex, expensive one with select fire?
No, registration closed in 1986. Hypothetically you would be able to hold onto it, but only if you were not a law-abiding citizen, and only if you didn't post things like this or do anything that could justify issuing a search warrant for your property.
Semi-relevant. If the rate of fire isn't ludricously high, you will be able to fire single shots with practice even if it's set on full-auto. A semi-auto setting would be a convenient but unnecessary addition to the design. If the rate of fire is ridiculously high like you see on a Mac-10 or similar, it would be nice to have a semi-auto setting. If I were arming a bunch of guys on a government budget, I'd take the simplest one with a reasonable rate of fire and no semi-auto setting (see Carl Gustaf kp m/45). If I were looking for a single firearm for myself, I would like to have a semi-auto setting regardless of the rate of fire because subguns are comfy plinkers.
>t. issued a subgun during compulsory military service
Thanks. I don't I'll ever be able to get the design through the NFA but I'll try.
Semi is not more expensive and is worth designing into the gun for purposes of ammo conservation or accurate fire at longer ranges. It's more of a doctrinal choice and it is more often left out for manufacturing expedience under strained wartime economies, but any properly and rationally designed SMG would feature semi auto.
Recently bought an SKS and it came with the bayonet lug ground off. Is the front sight post on these replaceable? They look press fit to the barrel, but I see them on eBay.
Good lord that's disgusting. Why would anyone ever do such a thing?
A: Zip ties
IDK. really, besides the shitty tapco mag and aftermarket gastube cover it's not in bad shape.
bingo, though you should be using the wider zips
>homemade night sight for a stainless j-frame?
Ban states require it
supernova tactical or 590a1?
What exactly is stupid about my question?
>Alice
yeah that alice is good stuff ill tell ya that.
Is this as cheap as brass gets?

Anyone have the gif/webm of the black dude trying to fire his rifle with the wrong eye, putting the end of the buttstock up against his teeth? Can't find that shit anywhere.
Kittybutt for your time.
sounds good
Someone please post the 5.56 twist rate chart.
This is probably a super dumb question, alas:
are 3x magnifiers meant to be mounted in front of an optic or behind it?
Probably because in today's warfare you are never out of range from a firebase or air support network, and if you are, you already have a heavy weapons platoon that has bigger mortars and weapons on ready deployment. Air support isnt just a fly by and fuck off, it's more of stay in the AO untill bingo fuel and by that time the threat is already delt with or you have someone to take your place.
590a1
Use the money saved on ammo and accessories
Whelp, it happened. Got a fraudulent charge from some chucklefuck in San Fransisco thanks to PSA's shitty site security.
Do Aims Surplus have any data breach issues? Looking to take my business elsewhere.
>inb4 "that's what you get for buying poorfag-tier faggot"
...yeah, I know
>shitty site security
How about you remove the keyloger on your pc and use a virtual keyboard next time
And how exactly do you know PSA's site caused this? Not the keylogger from all the porn, the card skimmer at the gas station, or the nignog working at some drive thru?
Okay, maybe it's not their site that's compromised, but it's definitely something with PSA. It was the first purchase on a new card and I used it for a PSA purchase and the number got lifted. Everything else I pay in cash (gas, food, etc), never use an ATM, and have a separate PC only used for online purchases on a separate network that until now has had no breaches in the past 6 years of using it.
forgot to add, the PSA order was the *only* purchase on the card
PSA card issues are common knowledge. Months ago I overheard some of the guys at work talking about how if you buy from PSA you should get a one-time CC#. You can read all about it on the internet. There's something fucked up on their end.
Good, you've got your shit ironed out; you know where and how to spend money. Yeah, certainly some funky shit on their end. I'd give them a call and make them known of the issue as well; sometimes companies know of these breaches and then don't say shit, and other times they have no clue.
Any suggestions for a Optic for a scar 17?
ACOG
Is it legal for a civilian to get some M115A2 ground burst simulators? Theyre just big firecrackers right?
Was this effective? If so, why didn't anybody else try it on their guns?
If the gun is straight and the gaps are in spec, it's not bad. If you aren't already savvy with roller delay, pass.
I made an adapter for BW gear to attach straight to molle with no modification needed. How many kommandos would be interested in this?
...
yes
hi so i might be retarded but i recently bought 1000 rounds of reloaded 9mm for my glock on the internet because it was really cheap
although i did more shopping and found good ammo for not much more and kind of regret buying this
anyway ive also read that most of the exploding glock meme photos come from people shooting reloads/handloads and also it explicitly states in the glock manual NOT to shoot reloads and that it voids the warranty
so on a scale of 1 to 10 how stupid would i be to shoot this stuff?
fedarm.com
this is the stuff i bought by the way
Is this ok if I wanted to try out skeet and trap without breaking the bank? Or does it always have to be an O/U? I thought this seemed ok, but I'm not certain about the model.
Also I forgot to put in this post, but 2 and 3/4 means you couldn't adapt this gun to hunting, correct? Unless you were hunting birds? Don't most big game animals need 3" shells?
I guess it would make more sense if you were in a Rhodesian sort of situation where you actually had a serious need to limit use of CAS as much as possible because your nation was hemorrhaging cash they desperately needed.
you can take game animals fine with the right load of 2 3/4 shells but that gun says to use only trap loads
so no it shouldnt be used for hunting except maybe small stuff
I can only imagine it was done in the 90s. Only other alternative is that the owner was retarded or wanted to use it for hunting in some jurisdiction that says no scary features like bayonet lugs are permitted for hunting.
Ah I see. I was pricing barrels, and that isn't too bad, but I assume you'd need a receiver, and at that point, you can just look for a shotgun that can load 3" shells and go from range to field without missing a beat. Gotcha.
Guttersnipe sucks and there's a reason nobody uses it anymore. ASP was sort of a prototype of the modern subcompact 9x19mm carry gun, so ideas proved themselves good and bad and were either dropped or kept on. It's kind of like how early automatic pistol development had weird stuff like fixed mags with stripper clips, toggle locks, and holsters that double as stocks that were not being incorporated in designs by the late 1940s (although the holster-stock idea persisted in some specialized uses like pilots' survival weapons and in China, where international embargoes during their civil war forbid the sale of military equipment like rifles to the Chinese but allowed the sale of personal handguns and holsters and encouraged the proliferation of C96 knockoffs with stocks). The idea was you were firing at super close range so guttersnipe sights would work well, but in practice it didn't pan out and the industry stopped producing weapons with guttersnipe sights.
It is
You put them behind so you dont magnify your reticle
Has anyone used the Rebel SOS-22?
You'll be fine. It's not overloaded which is the biggest perpetrator so as long as you visually inspect them I wouldn't worry about it
Thanks, user. I always thought it was a cool design, but if it doesn't work it doesn't work.
New to ARs and trying to install my first scope. I screw on the mount and it stays loose, letting it move back and forth slightly. What am I doing wrong?
what about it voiding my warranty? is there realistically any way for glock to know that i was firing reloaded ammo?
What scope?
Nikon P223.
And I've solved the problem now. Turns out I just wasn't tightening it enough because I was afraid of getting it too tights and fucking something up.
>why is this loose?
>nvm forgot to tighten it
Classic Jow Forums.
They haven't been confirmed. Just because Joe bob gun store owner is mad PSA undercuts him in pricing and lies about it online. Doesn't mean there is proof.
Give proof. Like a fucking screen cap of that card account. Online. As they used to say pics or it didn't happen.
If dozens (if not hundreds) of anecdotal accounts won't change your mind, how would mine help?
rubber bands work pretty well
Buy showing screen caps if your card transactions you idiot.
How many/what middlemen do guns go through between manufacturers and gun stores?
Anyone got any 38 Special/+P JHP recommendations for a weak faggot?
why's it called .380 auto when it's a .35 diameter bullet?
S&W used it on some concealment revolvers like the Airweight.
No. That's just them saying if you reload a +P+ round and your frame explodes they have no liability. The wear and tear from proper reloads will be no different than factory rounds
I’m caught up between spending $300 on a complete colt receiver for my M4 clone and just getting a complete Anderson.
Thoughts?
oooh
what kind of belt or attachment were they even meant for?
if you want a proper clone and its in stock do it
thanks user
They snap into the grommets of these super wide German web belts the West Germans cooked up during the Cold War. Kind of like how American M1936 web belts had those little grommets you attached pouches to with little wire hangers, except much with snaps.
thank you based quad-deuces
The semi automatic mode is useful for single aimed shots at longer ranges, 100m-200m. Some militaries issue SMG's as automatic carbines and teach the users to only shoot full auto at close range and to switch to semi for longer shots.
They are replaceable but it can be a bitch. You will most likely destroy your current one removing it.
How good of a retailer is Aim Surplus?
Hey guys, is $489 a good price for a SKS in very good condition?
They used to measure the width of the barrel instead of the bore
Does anyone have a Harris bipod? Which variation do you have and do you like it? I was thinking of getting the one with pins for each 1" variation but they all sound pretty nice.
what country of origin?
excellent in my dealings.
I can't stick around for your response but if it's a Yugo or a Norinco export model then no, if it's Soviet, Chinese milsurp, or any other country, then yes.
norinco
If I was to put a longer barrel on this "pistol" can I add a stock with out a need to tax stamp it?
They're distributors and warehouses involved kinda like kellogs cereal does before it gets to the grocery store
I would like to get into her egg foo young
if you out a 16" barrel on it yes, but you cant convert it back to a pistol. I'd get a tailhook brace
at least you have a cleaning rod
Just get a supernova like me and have no regrets.
glow in the dark paint is as close as you can get, but night sights without tritium are pretty useless.
