Its armor layout is also lighter than what's on the Abrams, Challenger II, and Altay. That's not to say it's armor is light, as it's still above the Leclerc and Ariete and any Russian MBT that isn't the Armata.

Although this is trolling, I am pretty sure Pendekar is one of the most successful T-72 modernisation.
Renk powerpack, Slovakian barrel and viable gun stabilisation, French FCS with hunter-killer ability, indigenous ERA reactive tiles and CERAWA armor gives it edge over any T-90. Sadly Polish army has neither budget nor interest with purchasing this advanced version.
