IFAK?
It’s in the bag along with a cat tourniquet
Only 1?
What’s it stocked with?
It should be readily accessible
Not seeing any food or a way to carry water you filter?
area maps/compass, firestarting kit, hygiene kit, baby wipes, extra underwear. Maybe a travel solar panel and battery pack to charge anything you might need to power. Binoculars/nvg. Some gortex too.
>5 months freeze dried food
Whoops
And flashlights/chemsticks
No woobie = ain’t gunna make it
Water?
I've got a backpack with 22 magazines and 500rnds of ammo.
My jeans, belt, t-shirt and boots.
What do you carry your ifak in?
Don’t have much water yet, other than a few 5 gallon deer park jugs. Any long term water storage suggestions?
Eagle Industries SFLCS canteen pouch + SEKRI ifak insert with tether stitched into pouch bottom
Get a well you could either rig to a generator or one with an old fashioned hand pump, it's a better option than trying to store water.
Need more socks.
The main things you need - absolute mission essential - are 1) ammo (a way to carry it obviously) 2) water 3) first aid kit (within this are varying opinions but mainly have what you know to use).
Secondary items that you need (for extended SHTF or patrols include socks, cold/wet weather gear if needed, chow and a map and compass and light.
Everything beyond here is both an asset and liability that needs to be examined in its usefulness.
All in all you are doing better than most but you probably have more than you need and will ditch some of that or need to store it in a bivouac
Please tell me you actually know how to use that ARS...
Most murricans live in condensed cities that are fiscally diverse. That + gang activity + "didn't have my insulin" is going to kill more of us than Ivan with an AK.
I know how to use it all, nigga
And have used most of it overseas
>am I missing anything
BOG ROLL
Op here I don’t live in a city, I grew up on a farm, live in the suburbs now but parents still live at the farm. I have enough food and water to bug in for a while. I just need innawoods practice if I have to ditch my home location. This is a practical gear test. Just seeing what necessities others recommend, beyond bic lighters and batteries
>plates
wut kind?
Best not be steel.....
I have AR 500 hybrid level 3A lightweight soft plate front and back sides. I have one steel lightweight 3+ plate, and I do not have a full plate carrier with mag pouches, just a concealable AR 500 basic carrier with no attachments to wear under a shirt
>best not be steel
Why does everyone seem to steer away from steel plates? genuine question, plates are extremely hard to come by here. If I found a pair for sale I'd jump on them, pretty much regardless of the type.
Whoops
They sold out. Sorry
Most all steel plates have anti-spall coating
Here you go, poorfag noplates
Become poorerfag hazplates

thanks, nice price and stuff, but USA got wack laws about armour export:
>Please note that the following items and brands may not be ordered through International Checkout and will be removed from your order prior to being placed with the store: [...] body armor
:(
I'm in NZ
Ahhh
Ok, it’s a roll of the dice but better than nothing..... this scandalous Jew will probably ship them without problem if your payment clears
botach.com
I found a local guy selling a pair of plates, might touch base with him once my carrier arrives.
>cati armor
>level 3
>steel
>$225/plate
good/bad/ugly?
>steel
I’d pass, but that’s just me.
Yeah, I dropped the botach dude a line, we'll see what he says. I would prefer some nice ceramics but obviously some possible spalling to the chin is better than being shot in the heart.
>capacity to hold 660
>has 500 rounds
You need more ammo sir. You're running low go buy some. Now.
You’re losing sight of the fundamentals. You got bogged down in brand name bullshit, and now your bag is lopsided.
Your BOB needs to only provide you with 6 things; food, water, shelter, security, medical care, and comms. It needs to provide those things for about 72 hours of travel. In this case, the assumption is that you’re going back to the farm. Quit worrying about listing the groovy brand names, focus on balancing your bag.
