well duh that 22 long rifle is one of them there handgun calibers. There's unironically nothing wrong .22's for target practice (shooting cans, gophers, etc), the ammo's cheap and you can shoot them all day without getting a sore shoulder. Why you would use anything other than a .308 or .30-06 for long range shooting or actually trying to kill something larger than a fox is beyond me though
