Hey guys just got my upper from BCM in the mail today. I've never bought individual parts from dealers so I have a few questions. Are they various doodads and alan wrenches to add rails/sling mounts to the bottom? Why is it covered in oil? Why did they give me about 400 stickers?

I tempted to blame your lower, magazine, or ammo. BA Hanson barrels are considered pretty good. Aero M4E1 is also considered pretty good, but keep in mind it isn't mil spec, so there could be something up with that as well.

Considering that most of 300blk's energy is in mass rather than velocity, and that drag is quadratic in velocity plus 300blk BCs are better than .223 BCs, you can be rest assured that 300blk maintains higher bullet energy at further distances than 5.56

What’s the effective range of an M4 with an m68?

I’m building an m4 clone with an Aimpoint Pro (can’t afford an ACOG, and even then replacing batteries is cheaper than replacing tritium), 14.5” barrel and KAC rail.

What ammo should I shoot btw? M855 shoots horribly out of my m16a2 clone, but I’ve heard it isn’t accurate out of nearly anything.

I’m not making it 100% accurate (I’m using a pinned 14.5 Windham barrel and no fun switch), but I’m making it pretty damn close.

I’ve gotten bored of my a2 clone, and want something sort of different, and even though it’s mall ninja tier, I really enjoy the “tactical” m4 aesthetic.

Effective range can easily change based on your optic. I imagine most people would be more comfortable shooting at 800 yards with a 12x scope than an eotech. Also, tritium degrades no matter what, and costs quite a bit to replace. I can just keep my aimpoint turned off when the gun is in my safe, and it’s batteries may last as long as an ACOGs tritium, but even if they don’t it’s easier to replace.

the cog can still run on the fiber optic after the tritium gives out

These charts are kinda disingenuous.
Most 16" 5.56 will fire a 55 grain bullet around 2950 fps. Sometimes 3,000 or more.

The PRO is almost functionally identical to a compm2, the barrel may actually be better than current colt quality, and will be functionally identical, I’m using a correct handguard, and a colt lower.
