Famas

it is a dildo

it's a select fire rifle?

it's not a battle rifle, so does that make it an assault rifle by elimination?

Technically it's a PDW.

No.

It's a PDW

carbine
note: NOT a "carbine" like all u fags say

It's god damn sexy

Its a Submachine rifle.

Proto PDW

The M2 was.

The M2 was an assault rifle.

The M1 was just a semi-auto carbine.

it's a carbine

Light rifle.

Caribbean

PDW.

select fire carbine!

A gun

That's a carbine.

It's carbine, just like M4 is.

>M1 Carbine is specifically banned by name
>they went around confiscating them
>no grandfathering either
>meanwhile M1 Garand and every modern "muh evil salt weapon" is allowed

Technically it isn’t because the 30 carbine round is not considered an intermediate cartridge (cut down of a full powered, spritzer round), but it’s not a pistol round.

Just like the legality of the Shockwave, it’s pretty much just a regular rifle that can drop into full auto.

I'm assuming it's because lots of surplus M1s had some M2 parts in them so they were easy to reconvert back into full auto. If you knew what you were doing you could easily figure out which parts you were missing. The Symbionese Liberation Army were famous for using using converted M1s. They were too incompetent to effectively utilize them in full auto though. In their last standoff thousands of rounds were fired without any police officers getting hit. The authorities ran out of ammo so the cops accidentally or intentionally started the house on fire while remaining SLA members were inside.

NJfag here, ARs, AKs of any type (Valmets and Galils included), a bunch of Swiss assault rifles, the FAL, G3 (and clones), and a bunch of other stuff is banned.

A Sub-Rifle

Its a carbine because the cartridge is considered not "full power" like the 30-06 which was the predecessor to the 30. If it is an M2 which has select fire capability then that is an assault rifle despite some people not considering .30 an intermediate round I think a M2 qualifies as an assault rifle.

I agree with this.

.30 Carbine is NOT an intermediate round. If anything it's a souped up Pistol caliber. Someone along the lines of 4.6x30mm. But totally trash instead.

I think, if something similar were made today, it would fall into a PDW category. Small enough to easily transport in just about anything, chambered in a caliber that is similar to an intermediate but doesn't quite make it and still retaining the functionality of a rifle.

adding on to this, the rational they used to create the M1 carbine could have just as easily been written for the P90.

The SLA flag looks bretty cool in orange
(I wish m1 carbine pistols were cheaper,fug)
