Not good.

Probably correlated to the sharpness of the knife. The duller and more tissue it rips instead of slicing through cleanly the more it probably hurts

Getting shot wasn't so bad. It's numb then the pain creeps in but doesn't get too bad for some reason even though I was shot in the foot with 308 and it obliterated the flesh on two of my toes and chipped the tip off one. I guess it could've been worse. It took 3 months to fully heal.
I've heard getting stabbed is alot worse.

It kinda feels like getting stabbed.

Imagine a sharp metal blade penetrating your flesh

>308

Surely you mean 380? Did you really take a full size rifle round to the toes?

Its burns.

My father once told me while working with an angle grinder that he didn't pay attention while not cutting and rested the thing on his leg, and the disc was still turning, he cut himself open but didn't feel a thing because it was cutting and cauterizing at the same time because of the heat.

Attached: AngleGrinder.jpg (1280x762, 184K)

Can confirm. Did this to my knuckle while cutting welds on a trailers's leaf spring shackle with an angle grinder with no guard. Cut to the bone and I only noticed it cause of the tug feeling.

See

it was 308. Obliterated the flesh and chipped part of one toe and somehow split the flesh between my toes a little. I thought it grazed the tip of my toe a little, because of how bearable the pain was, until i pulled of my boot...

Under what circumstances did this happen?

When I was a kid my mom used to toss all the newspapers in a big wicker basket for recycling. One day she asked me to take the basket out to the recycling bin outside. It was full of maybe 50lbs of papers. I went to open the door with 1 hand while bracing the basket against my torso and holding it by only 1 handle. The 1 handle tore away. I try to catch falling basket and jagged edge of the torn wicker wood handle stabs clean through my palm. Fucking hurt like hell. I imagine getting stabbed feels something like that,

I was a butcher for 5 years, never got *stabbed* with a knife but I cut the tip off of one my knuckles on a band saw while cutting giant slabs of beef, the only reason I knew it happened it because the band saw made the *cut through bone* sound and the piece of meat I was cutting didnt have bone in it. But this was also in a 34 degree room so idk if I was numb from the cold or just the adrenaline and shock and speed with which it happened made me not feel it. Didnt even start bleeding till 2 minutes later.

sounds like adrenaline to me

Short story: dad died, taking guns out of safe, have 3 rifles in crook of one arm while i reach into safe for more, bolt action 308 falls out of arm go to catch it, accidentally depress trigger whilst doing so, zing, right through my boot.

Pretty stupid. Why it had a round chambered with safety off I'll never know.still shouldve check each gun though.

Yikes. how far did you get into your knuckle?

How could it be if you dont even know it happens at first?

Only like a half inch. You know how ur middle finger knuckle sits a bit higher than the rest when you make a fist? Basically shaved off all that extra height and made it flush with the rest.

your body subconsciously acknowledges it just got destroyed

Your body is a bunch of nerve centers and electrons. It can process inputs so fast it can react before your brain can process it. See:reflexes.

I got stabbed once, some gang banger stabbed me in the shoulder I didn't know at first because I was busy busting out most of his fucking teeth. The only thing that saved me was when the cops came they saw the handle stuck in my back. I had knocked out 17 of the fuckers teeth and left him a vegetable. A witness said he snuck up behind me and stabbed me, he had bragged that he would slit my throat to some buddies the night before. All because I was dating some chick who I don't even remember and he thought she was betrothed to him from Mexico or some shit. My hand required surgery and works pretty well. It's twelve years later and my shoulder only has like a 1/2inch scar from where he stabbed me, it aches sometimes. Really lucky I didn't go to jail etc.

Gnarls

I guess that makes sense. The body is bro like that.

How long was the blade.

Yea it definately reminds you that you're standing in front of a razor sharp saw blade spinning at 1000 rpm that could literally cut you in half without even putting a 10% load on the motor lol

Once you realize it? Like a kidney stone but elsewhere. Being stabbed fucking sucks.

It was one of these. Scary shit when you realize what its capable of.

It was a 5 inch or so butterfly knife amazingly it missed anything vital.

Yeah. I always tried to avoid the bandsaw in woodshop. Those things can fuck your shit up in a heartbeat. Apparently even remove portions of your hand worhout you knowing.

Fug I saw my woodshop teacher lose a finger to a bandsaw while demonstrating safety. I have never personally laughed about it, he was a really nice guy and he was devastated by the fuckup. He helped me make a bat and some chair legs on the lathe after he recovered.

Anything that could remove a limb just by you barely grazing it is fucking dangerous. These large band saws are like katanas in anime, theyll slice through a man with zero effort in a giant spray of blood.

I almost cut off part of my pinkie trying a butterfly knife trick (reverse ice climber with bite handle)

That wasn’t fun.

I imagine getting stabbed would hurt a heck of a lot worse

That couldve done some damage if properly applied.

The average design technology finger has lost or had severed one finger in their life.
Half of them have lost more than that.

I dunno, I sliced a pretty big gash across my wrist as a middle schooler from tripping into a pane of glass. Didn't feel a thing, even when the stitches went in

I cut the tip of my finger off in a table saw. Hurt like fucking hell instantly. Cut the tip of my finger off through the middle of the finger nail. The blade wrenched my finger so hard that it also hurt at the first joint. The piece of wood kicked back and pulled my hand through the blade. It all happened so fast it was like a gunshot.
>bang
>sharp pain in my hand
>blood all over my white tshirt
>grab my hand out of pure reflex

I remember the terror of grabbing my hand with my other hand, seeing the blood that had sprayed all over my shirt since the blade spun towards me, and feeling the pain at my first knuckle. It took me like 30 seconds to build up the courage to look because I wasn't sure if the entire finger was gone or how mangled it would be.

It was sheer joy when I saw 90% of my finger was still there. It grew back almost entirely and it is just slightly shorter. People only notice if I point it out.

Do people not know to practice with practice knives?

My metal shop teacher shocked himself with an arc welder while giving a safety demonstration. One of the funniest things I have ever seen. He screamed like a little girl in front of like 30 teenage boys.

>It took me like 30 seconds to build up the courage to look
It seems like its not a good idea to look. when i pulled off my boot and saw my mangled toes, the gore, the bone, and blood It made me feel really weird and made it so much worse

To be honest I almost fainted. I was very light headed and had to sit down.

(you) for making me cringe

>literally almost dying from being the lemons meme but with guns
I'm sorry for your loss but your dad is laughing his ass off in heaven at least.

got stabbed about 2 years ago over a drug deal got into a knife fight me and my friend against these 3 guys had shooting pain that felt like it was going up the bone in my arm stab wound was about 1'' deep in upper arm was from a sharpen screwdriver tho so not sure if this counts treated it my self by washing with water and iodine cos going to hospital would have meant talking to police and i was not going to rat these guys out particularly as i had slashed one of there faces with my own knife. area around wound is still discolored to this day. was a rare circumstance normally when both people pull a blade both back down kind of like mutually assured stabbing which is why i never go anywhere without a knife

>To be honest I almost fainted.
Yeah i felt like that too. I wasnt expecting to pull a mangled mass of bleeding hamburger out of my boot. But i wasnt sure if that was from rapid blood loss or not. My boot had so much blood in it. And it wasnt arterial spraying blood but it was pouring pretty good.

Feels like tearing, then warmth, then oh fuck I almost cut my thumb off.

I was at the Phoenix, AZ gun show when someone did nearly the exact same thing. Thank God he shot himself in the ankle and no innocents got hurt.

Attached: digititis.jpg (640x426, 73K)

I got my wrist busted open from one of those when a wheel fragged.

>tfw idiot friend shot himself in the foot during bootcamp
Why do you people do this? Although in his case it was >5.56, so it wasn't as bad

How did somebody chamber a round at a gun show? All the gun shows in my area have a table with police officers at the entrance where they check all guns private sellers are bringing into the show and all guns displayed by vendors have zip ties or flags through their actions.

>Why do you people do this?
Seemed like a good idea at the time. Toes were functioning TOO well. Needed to sort them out.

For all the anons here who cut themselves on tools, why the hell weren't you wearing chainmail gloves?

You’ve obviously never worked in a shop m8, if you aren’t drinking and using power tools you aren’t doing it right.

Attached: image.jpg (345x630, 93K)

chainmail gloves are for people who work with knives. A power tool will slice right through that shit like it is nothing. That or the mail glove will just tangle in the power tool blade and make it even worse.

A circular saw spinning at 3,000 RPM with carbine teeth doesn't give a flying fuck about your thin chain mail glove. It cuts through 3 inch thick wood boards like they aren't even there.

*carbide

>mail glove will just tangle in the power tool blade and make it even worse.
thanks for that mental image

My shop teacher did the math for us one time.
>circular saws spin at about 3,300 rpm
>typical blade has about 88 teeth
>typical reaction time is 0.3 seconds

3,300x88=290,400 teeth a minute
290,400/60 =4,840 teeth a second
4,840x0.3=1,452 teeth pass through your flesh before you pull away.
>but I have a fast reaction time
OK, in 0.1 seconds 484 teeth pass through your flesh before you pull away...

Says the man who has also never used power tools. If you're not drunk AND high you're not doing it right. Geez

as someone who's actually talked to people who have been stabbed
>huh why arent these punches hurting me?

thats the consensus. you dont even notice it until the body catches up after a few minutes.

feelsbadman

These. If you don't wake up to find cutting boards, cabinets, and scroll saw pieces strewn about your house that you don't even remember making you're a novice.

I can't tell you what it feels like to be stabbed but I can tell you what it feels like to stab someone with a screwdriver and ice pick

>t.nogunz

Wearing gloves is a good way to die in a metal shop, man. It gets hooked on the tool (or part, in the case of a lathe) and drag you into it.

I do however know what it feels like to have small AP glass bottle bomb go off near me and take a 2 inch chunk of glass to the forehead

I'm a hasguns these events occurred in my youth when I was a young boy

It feels fucking amazing while they're trying.
It is some real fucking not fun shit when it works.

And women wonder why men get paid more.

well maybe it kind of feels amazing when you know what that's happening, otherwise you're probably going to get hit. If they don't finish it you're probably going to hold a grudge as long as you're capable of it.

>What it feels like to get stabbed?
Like chewing 5 gum.

hell if you get stabbed in the wrong place it can feel like anything. I had 3/4 long steel wire from a 4 inch wire wheel shoot into my knuckle and I didn't notice until I moved it. It ached and was a painful wound once I took the wire out. I've been burned and cut lots but having something inside me was strangely erotic and I popped a semi and moaned in pain when removing it

Very fucking painful. Anything through the muscle layer hurts like hell.

Think of it as a very painful bee sting followed by the world’s worst cramp. Times that by anywhere from 0.5 to 10 depending on location.

Do yourself a favor and never get stabbed by a flathead screwdriver.

That’s my forearm btw. The gash was actualy rather small but fuck did it go deep. I was out of using that arm for about a week or two. For the first week or so when ever I tried using that arm slight amounts of blood would gush out.

pretty sure my fucking arm winced reading that

>Anything through the muscle layer hurts like hell
Depends on where and how large it is.
t. Guy who gets intramuscular injections monthly.

Shockingly, most of the pain actually goes away within the first day or three.

Mine was a forearm with a sizeable flathead. I’d imagine they give you a 18-25 G needle in the vasto-gluteal area or for convience the deltoid.

Sounds like the left in Brazil is afraid

They took a shot and missed, now they are proper fucked.

Yeah, I get them in the deltoid. If I have to do it myself, I do it in the vastus lateralis. Not sure what needle they use, but the ones I have are 25G.

True story, I once got drunk and woke up the next day having built a cane for my mother because she was having trouble with her knees. Would take pic, but not at home. The handle was literally just a handsaw handle shape, because it's comfy and easy to grip. The breathing in varnish fumea hung over

Checked, Someone cap this

Had a friend stabbed in highschool during a mugging. He said it was like an intense stinging pain , and he was out for 3 weeks recovering.

How the fuck did he manage that? Did he have the ground clamped to his nipple or something?

He didn't, and his "demonstration" was far more effective than a normal speech.

If you don’t mind me askin, what are you getting injections for?

Cyanocobalamin. I don't produce intrinsic factor, so B12 doesn't survive my gastric acid intact to be absorbed in the intestines.

I would call it being deliberately stabbed, but when I was younger I would play hockey in the basement with my younger brother. We had one stick with a better blade than the other, so we’d rush down there to get it. One day we were running for it again when a toy plane about the size of pic related was out on the floor.

The metal tailfin went up into my foot. It felt like it hit the bone and fell out. I limped upstairs for a bandaid and sat down the rest of the day.

Being stabbed in the gut or arm is much worse than a toy plane stabbing you.

That's not how cauterization works at all the local nerve centers would fire no matter how fast the nerves are cauterized sounds like either he got a massive hit of adrenaline or his just saying it didn't hurt cause it makes a good story.

I dunno, man. I’ve zipped myself with an angle grinder a few times, it hurt like a mad bastard every time. The wheel isn’t hot enough to cauterize, it’s just grinding away at your flesh.

I got stabbed by a crackhead outside a bar with some tiny knife(Swiss army knife or similar)when I was 24.

It stings for a second like when you accidentally cut yourself, then starts to ache really bad like someone point-blanked you with a paintball gun. Then it hurts a little less when you see the blood and figure out what happened and panic/shock sets in.

Even though it was a tiny knife it punctured my stomach and had to be stapled up. It healed up okay on its own but I had abdominal pain for six months and my shit was black from internal bleeding for a month and a half.

Overall 1/10 would not recommend

Got slashed my a machete once right across the arm, cut through the muscle hut like all hell after the adrenaline wore off, first priority was to stop the bleeding which is all I worried about.

>dude just stands up and walks away
Is that just pure adrenaline and he's going to fall unconcious 30 seconds from now or what
