If they are capable of interstellar travel, there is nothing you could do except eat a bullet and go out on your own terms. If not, have fun getting dissected alive

>dissected alive
Impossible by definition.
The term you want is vivisect.

>be alien who melts when exposed to a fairly neutral substance
>invade a planet with over 2/3rds water cover, humidity, and where said substance will fall from the damn sky, and indigenous fauna is around 70% water by weight
>have 0 protective equipment

What did Shamaylan mean by this?? It'd be like humans who invaded Mustafar with only machetes, and it was covered with xenomorphs and drenched in xeno blood rain

A super soaker is all you need. One pump of that baby will send the ayys runnin'.

Not that user, but learned something new. Thanks user

What do they drink if they aren't drinking water? It was of my knowledge that water is an essential building block of life.

They werent ayys
Demons dude
It was holy water that burned them

It used to be really common in late 1800s and early 1900s, cuz it was easier than trying to figure out how things worked when the thing was dead. So you'd have animals with chunks of skin cut off and the scientists would watch the muscles move and literally poke nerves to see what happens and stuff

Water is considered univeral due to its unique properties:
>slightly polar, so makes good H+ donor and H+ acceptor
>density decreases when frozen. This is extremely important, because if ice sank it would mean ice would potentially endlessly accumulate at the bottom of the sea or other waters, which is bad. Also, ice is reflective as heck
>great absorber of thermal energy-its hard to make water heat up compared to many other liquids, and is great at carrying away heat via evaporation and such
>pH is right smack dab near the middle, so it can lower or raise pH via dilution. Also great for cell tonicity regulation
>is fucking everywhere, and molecularly simple and light so the material requirements to make it are pretty low

Water is really neat

well not at first
in theory

What if they sneeze on us?

In general I'd agree with this but there are plenty of ways that they could still be vulnerable. And not just ridiculous "Road not Taken" technology disparity either.
