Should I get a brace for my memewave?

Should I get a brace for my memewave?

Yes, that should be the only reason anyone gets one. Slap a sidesaddle, heat shield and 1 point sling on it too for nax aesthetics.

Yep, otherwise it's just a rangetoy

No.
That destroys any reason to get one. Compare a braced memewave to an 18.5 maverick. There is literally no point.
>t. bitcharms

do it to spite the feds

isn't OAL determined with the stock extended/unfolded? Does that mean you could shorten the barrel even further?

>muh not using a meme weapon seriously is muh arms
It's basically a range toy with no real practical purpose

Yes

I think you guys have the same idea that I do. My line of thinking is that it could still be somewhat range effective with slugs. Also I was gonna get a Maverick 88, but I care across this used for a steal. $225 our the door; couldn’t pass it up. So I’ve been dying to know, so they make “braces” that aren’t pistol gripped, or is that considered a standard stock?
I believe so, but believe me, you wouldn’t want it any shorter. With birdshot, the spread is insane.

Rifling matters much more than barrel length for slugs IIRC. I don't think there's any (((rules))) against putting a rifled barrel on a shockwave in the same length. It's also a bonus because it makes the spread that much more dramatic on buckshot.

You should get help for your memelife.

>That destroys any reason to get one. Compare a braced memewave to an 18.5 maverick. There is literally no point.

hey retard, compare the shockwave to the cruiser, its only 2" shorter.

And a braced vs 18.5 is around 4" difference

So explain to me again how the stock shockwave has a point?

Four inches is a lot for some people, for some reason. Same reason 16" ar15s are popular

Hm, I gotcha. So with buck and slugs on the stock barrel, what would you say the max effective range would be? Also, a 14”barrel compared to say 18, how much loss in energy and velocity are we talkin?

>hurf durf there's literally no point in a SBR or SBS compared to a full size one
Are you actually this retarded?

No I totally understand that. 4" is quite a bit off a barrel.
There just isn't a point in getting a shockwave without a brace. Its basically the same size as the cruiser, while being more unweildly than something you can shoulder

Worth every penny just to enrage the autists here, no brace needed. With a little practice you can get surgical with this bitch.

>Adding length to a weapon whose sole purpose is to be as short as possible

Why? It handles extremely well with No1 buck (The superior HD/General purpose round) and pointing it is easy with practice. I keep minecruiser ready between the center console of my vehicle.

Mossbergs are shitty for pistol grip set ups and modern remingtons are shit, it's a real travesty.

can someone post a shockwave with wood furniture and heat shield?

Because shooting things that dont have stocks isnt fun

Ok I feel ya. Yeah, the second time I shot it, I did a lot better. lol
Well see, I have an 835, but it’s a super long hunting gun, plus I can’t shoot slugs. I wanted a Maverick 88, but then my brother found this thing for a price I couldn’t pass up, so I’m just thinking that maybe adding a stock, or more specifically “brace” would kinda meet me halfway so to speak.

And when you wanna step farther back, or use it for something more practical, stocks defiantly help.

you can get away with shouldering braces on things with minimal recoil but do you really want something to hurt you each shot.

> four inches is a lot

What do you mean?

You do realize there are more braces than the blade you can use right
Most are fairly squishy rubber..literally perfect for use on a heavy recoiling gun

why is it so long?

Probably the grip that has something to do with it. It’s kinda awkward unless you have big hands or choke up on it.

By the way guys, OP here. I fell for buying a litteral el cheapo revolver a couple years back (some Spanish made SAA clone in 38 S&W). It’s the only fun I own that I’ve never shot. Bought it for litterally 100 bucks. It’s pitted, the action is kinda fucked, like half the time it doesn’t catch to move the cylinder, and the thing is just a piece of shit. Anyway, should I load up some cut down .38 Special cartridges, or just keep it for a decoration gun? What would you guys do?

Sell it to a mexican restaurant. They eat that shit up

If I shoot it, it’s gonna be shot with some black powder by the way.
