If you assembled it yourself the barrel might not be tight enough within the receiver allowing shifting. You also linked a 556 style upper not a 308 one.

I'm looking at either the spikes lightweight 11.5 barrel or bcm 11.5 elw barrel. Is there a better one without getting into diminishing returns?

Nice image. This is anecdotal however there is this old guy at the range I go to who had the same problem with the accuracy you mentioned. Turns out that the gunsmith who assembled his AR didn't tighten everything down quiet enough. I was thinking more along the lines of the barrel nut more than a hand-guard like the URX4 you have. Hope you get it figured out.

SBA3 is gud, SBM4 works for me because it just happens to be the same amount of length I use with collapsible stocks/brace...

I like the SBM4 but it might not fit your geometry. SBA3 is damn good. I wish they can make a SBA3 gen 2 that has battery compartments and a nicer cheek rest.

Not anyone involved in your convo, but here is a pic of an old target when i was testing factory match ammo. 5rnd groups, off a bipod, 20in barrel, 100yds. I did another test with 175gr, same brands, and my rifle just hates black hills.

My tip, is to use shit ammo until youre comfortable enough to do a steady shot group. Then try different ammo brands. Every rifle has ammo it shoots well and ammo it hates. Just look at my black hills group compared to my FGMM. Btw, i did not shoot these groups slow. I did maybe a breath or two before each shot. Basicly once i saw and felt i was steady was when i pulled the trigger. Was testing two different rifles, so when i finished one group, the cool down time was however long it took for me to shoot the other rifles 5rnd group.

Question for y'all. Just got my first AR from a pawn shop, looked up a buying guide and he let me take it totally apart and everything was solid, looked like it'd barely ever been fired.
Del Ton lower but everything else is a hodge-podge from different brands, all metal. All in all I'm quite happy with it. I opened her up and cleaned + oiled thoroughly, action seems to function well (haven't gotten to fire yet on account of scheduling bullshit, but next weekend should be good).

Only issue is the trigger: it feels roughly like a 3lb pull and it breaks nice once it's there, but the lead in, even though it's short, feels a bit grimey. Hard to describe, maybe you guys will know what I'm talking about, if you do I wanted to know what can be done to clean it up. I scrubbed the area but not as intensely as I could I guess.

My only other gun is an M44.

Hey brehs. Shot me 300 chimpy today with no issues. Same magazines, same meme 80%lower, only variable was polishing the chamber/throat on the lathe. 300 blk ballistic advantage hanson 10.3 barrel. Shot it today with no malfunctions using hornady black store bought, handloads using hornady sst 125 gr, and cast subs with home modified brass. Life is good yawl.
