Where can i find stripper clips for my SKS that are not total ass? Im looking for some sort of milsurp because the aftermarket stuff from china is complete dogshit. Im willing to pay $1+ per clip since you already pay that with NCstar & friends, considering out of a $8 pack of 20 you get maybe 2 or 3 that function acceptably.
Anyone have any recomendations? Really not looking to buy yugo surplus ammo loaded to the clips either since i already have several thousand rounds of 762 that i need to get rid of.

You can order Chinese surplus clips directly from century arms. They do require some clean-up before use (couple drops of CLP and scrubbing with toothbrush), but they work fine in my chink SKS.

OP here, found some on ebay. BXN brand which is apparently czech surplus, theyre expensive at about $1.50 a piece but considering theyre supposed to be excellent and theyll last me for life i really dont mind. Im really just tired of having it be easier to load rounds individually than using my cheap chink garbage clips that are either way too stiff and bind, or too loose where the rounds can fall out.
Guess thats that. In other news im going to get my trigger upgraded by kivaari soon, getting it smoothed out and ridding it of all that creep will sure be nice.

The bottom of that last bullet shown is touching where the mag starts. The clips are single stack 10 rounds while the mag itself is doublestack/staggered. Sks’ have 10 round internal mags and the clips hold... ten rounds.
Im assuming you never seen or used an sks before.

Those clips sit inside the magazine and are ejected once their ammo is depleted though. With the SKS youre just transferring the ammo from the clip to the magazine and throwing the clip away. Or in our case gentlely putting it down on the bench next to you.
