Nearly any vintage single shot shogtun in gauge of your choice can be had for less than $150.

I have one already and the trigger fucking sucks ass

sorry to hear that, send it to ohio, they will fix it for free, never had a problem with mine

Nowadays you can build a decent quality AR-15 for under $500. That's my go-to option.

Other than that, Mossberg shotguns including the Maverick models fit the bill.

SKS is on the border being right around $450 nowadays but I personally wouldn't pay more than $350 or $400 for a nice one.

>posting the shit brick pistol
hell no. get a carbine, those are actually fun.

Any heritage rough rider
Star BM/B
Ruger P series
used police surp
Mosin, Yugo Mauser, vintage shotguns
most shotguns including semi-autos
cheap ARs
most budget hunting rifles

I see Winchester 94s in my area going anywhere from 300-500. Ammo is on the expensive side unless you reload.

My gramps is a reloader

>tfw want a .30-30 to cast and load for
>tfw model 94 would be perfect for me
>tfw .30-30 isn't allowed for durr
Fuck this shitty state.

Maverick 88
Ruger LCP (1st generation)
Hi Point (pistol or carbine)
Budget AR

Don't bother with milsurp. The age of cheap milsurp is over, and even if you buy the gun itself for a reasonable price, all the surplus ammo has dried up, meaning you'll have to buy new manufacture ammo which will be expensive enough that the total cost of ownership of your "cheap" gun will be not so cheap.

What the fuck is allowed then if not 30-30?

>20mm lahti

The S&W Shield and Ruger LCP are both dirt cheap and they're great carry guns. Gun (not including milsurp and AKs) are dirt cheap right now. You can pick up a lot of good shit for under $500 , especially if you buy used.

yeah, im looking for used

Any recommendations for a balance of price and quality for an SKS?

A time machine to 2005 or a ticket to Canada.

Otherwise, don't bother with an SKS if all you want is a cheap blaster.

nice

can get an arisaka with an intact mum for about 300... not a bad deal.

Read and feel bad for us.

But... but why? Who the hell set these standards?

Ask the Ohio DNR. Up until a few years ago we couldn't even use centerfire cartridge rifles at all. Now we can use straight wall cartridges.

Canada general is here:

>No more green text as phonefag

Basic bitch AR15 (chrome lined preferred, nitride for bare minimum) with standard lower/upper
Ruger 10/22 Marlin 60 Ruger American Rimfire
Maverick 88 or ex police 870/m37
Ex police Glocks (conversion to 9mm easy), Beretta 92S, Star, SW SD9VE and ex police k frames. Also most of Rugers line
Handi Rifle in your caliber of choice.
SKS really is meh and not worth the current price same as Kalashnikovs but with shitty QC. Levergats can either be great or terrible in your area for a 336 or post 64 94 in 3030 (which is cheap for a hunting cartridge).

Where the fuck do you live? My local pawn shop has single shot 20 gauges for 70$ and single shot 12s for 100$.
