theres really only one answer

>blocky/angular
>funky lines
>fairly big
>some kind of attachment like a LAM, grip laser, or sight
>optionally, weird mechanics

I think something like the USP with a laser or light on it fits the typical cyberpunk look pretty well, though it'd be more of a cybercop/military look.

>What makes for a cyberpunk gun?
Does it utilize a Procto-Pod®. If not, then it can never truly be cyberpunk.

Why the fuck does this website flip the images

Attached: 20180520_212024.jpg (734x1080, 246K)

Something cheap, concealable, and disposable, preferably with a laser. IIRC, in Neuromancer, the original cyberpunk novel, the protagonist needed a gun and bought a shitty PPK knockoff from a street vendor.

Attached: 448411.jpg (880x660, 176K)

1. aesthetics
2. caliber (10mm, 5.7x28, .357SIG are some examples)
3. accessories (RDS, fiber optic or night sights, lasers, flashlights)
4. an odd function (Mateba autorevolver, Beretta PX4 rotating barrel, some recoil systems, unusual magazines such as the P90)

ticking off any of these does not necessarily make a gun cyberpunk, and some cyberpunk guns might only meet 1 of these criteria, usually being aesthetics.

Interesting light there. What is it?

Well the cool thing with cyberpunk is that thanks to the huge income and resource disparities in most cyberpunk worlds you could see antique guns alongside the newest technological marvels. Matebas in use at the same time as a mini railgun with an optional augmented reality target acquisition system. is also right, you might expect to see a lot of Chinese knockoff guns, to add in more futuristic elements they're 3D printed in bulk.

Attached: Seburom5l.jpg (400x298, 17K)

Yep this.

Flashlight or laser is a must. Suppressor adds bonus points.

To me, and what I think of what "cyberpunk" is, it's in no way shape or form anything with wood, and especially not a revolver. That's like weird artisian retro fantasy Post-Wild-West-Fantasy steam punk. Fuck the chiappa rhino seriously stop posting it.

Posting my glock, RE4 blacktail and others

Retro-futuristic is a good explanation, stuff that looked sci-fi as fuck back in the 80's.

O Light. Great value.

I don't know, it seems to me that in a world where technology and urban sprawl is ever expanding and nature is less and less prevalent, having a gun with real wood grips or furniture would be a pretty obvious status symbol.

Oh yeah I forgot I saved some muzzle brakes and compensators, for sure. I want one but not for me 9mm. Maybe one day someone will make a Glock 20 competitor.

Attached: 1536131517792.jpg (297x297, 23K)

Because your camera doesn’t actually save the images rotated. It simply has a little piece of metadata that says how rotated an image is. This website ignores metadata.

Hell no, having Cobalt nitritium grips would be dope. Not old organic shit that cowboys used, that decomposes. Might as well bring in a rocking chair next to your sleeping cell chamber, baller.

Yeah I was disappointed too, but for shooting, it makes a nice stable spot for your left hand pinky to sit and I swear it closed up my groups at 15yards. You can hold it a lot more still with more to hold on to.

Where's da mk23 guy with that ridiculous muzzle brake comp thing?

I feel like long slide guns need a counter balance of some sort. Have you held or shot a 9"+ revolver or long barrel Desert Eagle?

Attached: hkmark23tactical12gw.jpg (640x400, 48K)

Shin’s pistol was a fifty-year-old Vietnamese imitation of a South American copy of a Walther PPK, double-action on the first shot, with a very rough pull. It was chambered for.22 long rifle, and Case would’ve preferred lead azide explosives to the simple Chinese hollowpoints Shin had sold him. Still, it was a handgun and nine rounds of ammunition, and as he made his way down Shiga from the sushi stall he cradled it in his jacket pocket. The grips were bright red plastic molded in a raised dragon motif, something to run your thumb across in the dark. He’d consigned the cobra to a dump canister on Ninsei and dry-swallowed another octagon.

Fuck man wtf is this? I'd trade my glock + $1,200 for it right now.

I think this short barrel desert eagle would count if they made the grips compacted too.

Attached: desert-eagle-L5-44.jpg (1200x800, 287K)

Fuck bro, no.

nobody that owns that wants your glock.

FK Brno. Shoots a new meme cartridge that only it is chambered for.

you're still like $7k short

see:
and try again

need a compact deagle in 9mm, or some hot rod round like 5.7

Watch me make a thread on CZ's Phillips Screw head on this, and get >100+ replies

Also I thought the CZ75 would look good with a flashlight but helllll no they look retarded. Sorry CZ I gave you a chance. Definitely not the right look for cyberpunk.

Attached: wm_7423364.jpg (2048x1536, 604K)

CZ Shadow 2 has quite a bit of cyberpunk look going on.

Big boy gun chambered in 7.5mm meme cartridge. 103gr/2000ft/s, lighter than it looks, and supposedly has less recoil than you'd guess thanks to a robust recoil mitigation system. Gotta say though the red grips look like fucking cancer.

I truly truly love wood on guns, and would love to have a Marlin Camp over any AR or AK or any fugly PCC on the market today.

But I still think wood clashes with my idea of cyberpunk.

I like glocks and single action revolvers.

Attached: 2831426_01_marlin_camp_9_9mm_carbine_640.jpg (640x215, 29K)

>I still think wood clashes with my idea of cyberpunk
For a poorfag or gov't issue gat, sure. But wood is more expensive and would stand out among the plastic and metal, which is why it would become a staus symbol. Why do you think fancy hunting rifles have wood stocks and not polymer?

Attached: dragon.jpg (720x589, 79K)

>7.5mm hypervelocity cartridge, perfect for punching through body armor and androids
>has the A E S T H E T I C
probably the most cyberpunk handgun in existence imo. just needs a laser and some kind of optic.

>he doesn't think revolvers are cyberpunk

Attached: laughing whores.png (449x401, 490K)

Because tradition. Not status of wealth.

I see what you're saying. I recall Mengsk or w/e in Starcraft, the main battle cruiser captain took out a fine sci fi Luger looking gun in a nice velvet case and cigar case and shot himself.

Sure, for the old white haired man yeah it fits.

But for any young buck, study and handsome, no main character will be rocking wood slab sides on his sidearm

I think cyberpunk as a Sam Fisher type. Or the Rogue Ops chick

This guy gets it.

Ghost in the Shell's anime says otherwise, cuck.
It's still a cool gun on it's own though.

its a spring feild xd. its kinda cool how the weapons of re4 make sense if you where buying black market guns in spain

If they go high tech, hit 'em with the lo tek.

Attached: 345457678.jpg (300x168, 5K)

>no main character will be rocking wood slab sides on his sidearm
For generic stoic merc/spook/soldier/cop, sure. But it would fit if the character had an idealized version of the past and wanted to emulate it.

Attached: 144861197.jpg (777x777, 187K)

Fuck yeah, I'm gonna be getting a bersa thunder soon just for this.

FrankenMakarov featuring a double stack IJ-70 frame, Bulgarian commercial squared trigger guard and angle back slide (pic related), a worn set of Dozor mag release grips, the slide milled for a See-All night sight or tritium guttersnipe sight, and lots of holster wear. She’s an old mishmash and a century old, but her HVAP tungsten core ammo can cut through the titanium endo-armor augs the Yakuza footmen all have nowadays or poke a tidy hole in the braincase of some hackerpunk chromedome skyjacker. The Chicoms made so damn much of the stuff for Vietnam War II that you’ll have plenty of ammo until retirement. Most of the Dept have made the switch over to lasguns, but you’re grandfathered in for carrying a kinetic. Those Russians sure could make a workhorse gun, too bad they’re mostly glowing ash now.

That's the problem with being the originator of an entire genre. You've probably seen copies and derivatives of every idea in there somewhere else already. Lord of the Rings has the same problem.

I thought LoTR held up fine honestly, mainly because most modern fantasy has been changed so much since then that it still feels like its own unique thing.

The Klobb.

You just think cyberpunk means sci-fi. Everything you’ve referenced and said you liked is just basic sci-fi, nothing about cyberpunk.

not really cyberpunk, just mall ninja
better

>revolvers don't mesh well with sci-fi noir
Off yourself.

The most fascinating thing about cyberpunk is how many themes it ends up sharing with post-apocalypse settings.

Retrofit future, my dude. The iconic guns of the 80’s and 90’s with slight bolt-on upgrades. For instance a:
>Chinese export copy of a Russian adaptation of a German-developed small arms paradigm with obvious mechanical loan-bits from Garand and JMB
And shoehorn on:
>digital round counter w/ optional reload reminder tone programmable for 5 or 1 shot remaining pre warning
>copy of a Romanian bakelite VFG handguard cast from melted computer cases in a back alley workshop down in Little Bucharest
>Multiband predator-esque three beam laser with an ultralight magnesium alloy housing that mounts to the bayonet lug (knives are for bums, chefs, and harakiri) with a modulating freq synched to your cyberbrain so the competition can’t scope your beams
>microstippled 3d printed skeletonized aluminum pistol grip made from a livescan of your gun hand. Gotta have the ergos to keep your metacarpals mint for surfing the net after all.
>tritium iron sights with a ghost ring on RPK-style rears in case of an EMP or someone cracks your modulation algorithm and a smartround rides the beam back and KO’s your LAM
>original serial number lased over with first a barcode originally used as the rack number with an equally-outdated QR code next to it which has the (typo-ridden) user manual translated from Vietnamese through Portuguese to Cityspeak
>Carbon nanotube bodied mag loaded with polycase depleted uranium thumpers
>extended mag release paddle with Galil-type bumpguard
>PGO-7 scope

I think it's past your bed time. And if it isn't then wew lad....

Was about to post this

whats the point of a cz bullpup? aesthetics? the scorpion is pretty compact as is, so all youre doing is taking away space for an actual hand grip

I like the idea of old guns with new stuff bolted on. Kind of like we do now.
Also, modernity is a Cyberpunk dystopian nightmare without any of the good stuff.

perfection.

These are the only two people ITT that get it. Although it falls under aesthetics, I'd add that having a chunky front (like and ) or a funky, complex-looking grip (like ) are massive leaps in cyberpunk aesthetic.

Revolvers wouldn't be cyberpunk at all if not for Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, especially since the noir aspects have slowly become irrelevant in the face of the technological dystopia we face IRL.

Attached: YdXB1aK.jpg (900x1200, 151K)

This movie is the modern retelling of cyberpunk.

Prove me wrong.

That's because cyberpunk is post-apocalyptic but where the cyber was the apocalypse.
If the cyber didn't ruin everything for everybody then it's not cyberpunk, it's just scifi.
