Generals 2 was genuinly broken, and EA had no hope in hell of making a full-scale C&C title with the staff they had to devote to the franchise. The current mobile game is sorta trash in the sense that it's a mobile game, but it does have some fairly sound mechanics. I mean, it functions as a game, which is more than could be said about Generals 2's beta.

Could never find it again.
But one of the promotion unlocks for GLA was Saddam Hussein. All he did was stand around and smoke a cigar. I got wrecked before I could figure out what he did.
There were also A-10s that could take off and land at the airbase.

Think they were going for a Mogadishu vibe for the ranger. The Paladin was essentially a FUTURE M1 ABRAMS and I the crusader guess fills that Sheridan niche. Pretty awesome names considering how much the US fights arabs in that game. For the cruise missiles I dont recall buy weren't we slinging them out like candy at the time? Probably why they decided to make it an artillery unit.
