Why did you pick that gun for conceal carry?

There are a lot of opinions on conceal carry
And everyone has their criticism
However we don't often hear the reverse
Why did you pick your gun

Here's a example
Personally I went with a ruger lcp
Why?
I'm poor, and it's cheap
It's better quality than Jimenez or Hipoint
Having a few shots I can use right now is better than saving for a glock and getting robbed
So tell me user, why that gun?

Attached: gun shop.jpg (318x159, 10K)

I rock a charter arms 38 from the 60's with a 3 inch barrel with crimson trace grips. Fits me absolutely perfectly, and the old finish is outstanding on it being a bridgeport, trigger is great. It has fired every round. Great for circa $300

Nice
Why, did you pick it?

I had a police trade in Glock 23 that was cheap, relatively, and I shot it a lot so I started carrying that. I've since moved on to a Glock 19 as my main carry.

FNS9c

Affordable, FN has rep for quality stuff, my stubby-ass fingers can reach all the controls comfortably

Cajunized CZ PCR D - 9mm

9mm seemed appropriate in the south.
Cheaper, more common.
I didn't want a polymer gun
Like DA/SA triggers
Like that is has no safety so in the event a situation arises? Can pull and fire. No fumbling.
Got it cajunized cause I wanted this to be my primary carry/go-to firearm.

Ring Hammer
Pro Package
Dawson Precision Tritium Night sights (They actually look really good in the day too)
Stainless steel guide rod
Hardened Chrome bushing
Most internals swapped out and polished with CGW parts.
3.6lb single and 7.3lb double

Got a vedder light tuck holster that's easy on/off
Put 100 rounds through it before I sent it off to CajunGunWorks
Have yet to shoot it since returning. Only have the IWB holster for it.
Did my CCW class on Saturday, passed with flying colours on my fathers 20+ year old Glock 19
(Required an OWB holster and had one for it readily available)

Permit should be arriving sometime next week apparently.
Gonna get another 100 target rounds, then look into what defensive ammo to carry (Suggestions?)

Hk VP9sk

Glock 42.

I need something very thin, lightweight and with a short grip, and I got sick of dealing with bad triggers, bad sights, unconventional controls, terrible ergonomics, manual safeties, and other bullshit from the other popular designs, for example like a Ruger LCP, Sig P238 or even a Seecamp. Additionally, the 42 recoils mildly and is slimmer, smaller and lighter than the 9mm alternatives, like the Glock 43 and Walther PPS. Only thing I don't like about it is that they made the Gen 4 grip texture less grippy for the 42. I wish they hadn't because it ends up being a little slippery. I might even have appreciated a finger groove grip like the Glock 26 has.

I also sometimes carry a Glock 23 Gen 4, and a NAA Guardian .32, although the latter is more of a backup gun, since I really do not like pocket carry for my main gun. I'll carry the 23 in the jungle (downtown), in the woods (bear country), or whenever I might wear a covering garment all day.

few people put the reasoning
I agree completely
I don't wanna play with a safety while getting stabbed

You bought a meme. How much are you in it for? $1000? $1500? You should have gotten a Glock 19 to learn with, and then you can graduate to DA/SA when you are a seriously experienced shooter, which it does not sound like you are. Once you learn how to shoot, you won't feel like you need to pay for a trigger job on every single gun you buy.

op here
this isn't a tacticool opinion blog ran by the commando ninja
It's seeing other peoples line of thinking for defending themselves

I should have said, the reason I need the 42 to be so thin and light is because I have to dress semi-professionally for work and I work in a building with a big "no concealed weapons" sign on the outside. It's not a government office or anything, just a private business, but it's really in my best interest to conceal my carry gun deeply.

What a terribly obvious newfag you are. You're not the boss of me, dipshit. You don't get to dictate what goes on in threads on this board or anywhere. If you can't deal with that, you should consider jumping off a bridge.

Funny
I would go with a NAA, but I don't often wear suits

VP9sk

>small enough to conceal very easily, big enough to shoot
>liked the trigger more than the p30sk
>great sights
>heavy so it doesn't recoil much
>rail so I can use a light
>paddle mag release

If you can't be a adult go play with the kids

What holster? I just got a P30SK and will be trying it out for carry eventually. She's a thicc girl.

You don't belong here. Everybody else can see it but you because you failed to lurk for the required 2 years before posting. Now you're angry and confused, and taking out your frustration on the world because, in your arrogance, you think that you can't POSSIBLY be the one who's wrong here. You are, though.

Gearcraft holster for the tlr7 light. It's exactly what I wanted, just a basic kydex holster with belt clip, I don't do any of the fancy shit.

Honestly, it's an OK holster, but it took like three goddamn months to get to me. I got it right after the TLR7 came out, and literally no one made holsters for the vp9sk with that light.

So, not that it's bad but if you want it any time soon, look elsewhere.

I haven't even read this argument, but you type like a fag. Fuck yourself.

I conceal carry glocks. Depending on the weather and threat level conditions, either a 42, 26, 19, or 17.

Why Glocks? Supreme reliability, top notch performance thanks to the height over bore and smooth action, extremely safe with a simple manual of arms including no manual safety bullshit, easy as pie to maintain with stock replacement parts costing a few dollars a piece, the absolute best aftermarket for upgrades and mods, and the ability to share magazines between all double stack 9mms.

Also, because the reasons people dont like Glocks are basically all uninformed bullshit:

"The trigggers arent as good as Sig" - no, your 2lb Sig trigger is a crutch you need because you've never learned trigger control

"Glocknade" - literally just a lie, any gun can be exploded by overcharged rounds or squibs, but Glocks dont break and they always work. HK tells you not to fire your USP underwater, for example. Glock? Go to town, it'll work just fine.

"But muh manual safety" - If you dont understand why the Glock Triple Safe Action is superior, you almost deserve to lose valuable seconds on the draw fiddling for the location of your manual safety.

Nope
I'm a /b/ fag
I know i'm "feeding the troll",but still
I see over grown man childs larp about being a tacticool war vet that can survive mass shootings

real spec ops guys carry a glock 43 off duty

Sig P938

Why?

I'm not a big guy and I live in a warm climate so I needed something small enough that I could reasonably conceal (like a subcompact). I also prefer the design and function of single-action pistols (that crisp trigger). There are cheaper options than Sig, but the quality is top notch and I've never had a problem with any of their stuff.

>subcompact
>single action
>metal, no plastic
>tack driver accuracy

You've got a lot of gall saying that for someone who clearly hasn't mastered English articles, punctuation or even basic verb conjugation.

here comes the flame war derailing the informative discussion
Thanks user

>You've got a lot of gall saying that for someone who clearly hasn't mastered English articles, punctuation or even basic verb conjugation.
Your autism is out of control.

It's a fight that you picked all by yourself.

I carry Glock 29 with +2 extension OWB at 3 o'clock, and honestly dont give a fuck if it prints. Got a good kydex holster and TLR-6.

Go ahead, h8 :3

Im really not a fan of my lcp. There was no logic behind that purchase and I only got it because it was so cheap. Was stupid honestly but i just couldnt resist being the poorfag I am.

Sig P365.
I wanted something smol with half decent capacity. Held the G43, shield and Walther side by side and the 365 won out.

>held a few guns side by side
How about when you actually shot them? How has the gun held out in terms of small parts breakage with 1000+ rounds shot?

>Also, because the reasons people dont like Glocks are basically all uninformed bullshit
>"The trigggers arent as good as Sig" - no, your 2lb Sig trigger is a crutch you need because you've never learned trigger control
There are plenty of reasons to not carry a single action type pistol, but calling a short trigger pull a "crutch" is ridiculous. If anything single action self loading designs require a far higher level of firearm competency than your glock does. Glocks are the layman's default pistol for a reason (they are reliable and simple in design). There is a reason you rarely (if ever) see someone brand new to firearms cc single action self loaders. People who buy that those have experience and think the benefits are worth it (however true that may actually be is debatable)

>"Glocknade" - literally just a lie, any gun can be exploded by overcharged rounds or squibs,
True

>but Glocks dont break and they always work.
False. Any gun can break and plenty of glocks have failed.

>HK tells you not to fire your USP underwater, for example. Glock? Go to town, it'll work just fine.
Because that's relevant?

>"But muh manual safety" - If you dont understand why the Glock Triple Safe Action is superior,
>you almost deserve to lose valuable seconds on the draw fiddling for the location of your manual safety.
There are pros and cons to both styles.

You seem like you are new to firearms and just read a glock brochure. Lurk more

>t. G19 owner

I'm at about 500 with no problems whatsoever. The other ones just didn't win me over.

I chose a HK P2000SK V3 because it felt great in my hand and it looked cool. Originally I wanted something with a metal frame, but when I held this gun I knew it was the right one for me. I chose DA/SA over the V1 model just because I was not familiar with the V1 trigger. I went with the HK over the Sig p224 because the Sig was a raging POS and over the Kahr MK9 because it felt unexciting to hold and the slide was a bitch to pull back, but it was a used gun so I think something was wrong with it. The best way to describe the thing is trying to rack a Mac 10 except there's no charging handle. Some of my points are nothing more than subjective choice, but I figured if that gets me to the range with it more than a gun that I think is lame, then it's worth it.

Attached: hk p2000sk 9mm.jpg (4320x2432, 3.85M)

It's not too terrible of a decision. If you just don't like it then that's fair, but you can't argue with a good, working gun that can fit in your coin pocket.

What is a coin pocket, ESL?

I carry either a delta elite or a glock 20. My reasoning is because fuck you and whoever is behind you.

>You bought a meme.
lol
>How much are you in it for? $1000? $1500?
About $1000.
>You should have gotten a Glock 19 to learn with
Please re-read the post. Fathers service Glock 19 of 20+ years.
I may not be some competition shooter but I'm comfortable with the practice/training I've received.
>then you can graduate to DA/SA when you are a seriously experienced shooter,
El oh fucking el
>Once you learn how to shoot,
I know how, thanks.
>you won't feel like you need to pay for a trigger job on every single gun you buy
Didn't feel the NEED to. I just simply wanted to.
I've shot and practiced with others. I did my research of what I wanted out of my carry piece.
Decided on the CZ PCR D.
Could I have carried it as is? Sure. Would have definitely been fine for its intended purpose.
Did it hurt to have aftermarket parts put in and make it into something I personally like?
No. No it did not.

I'm happy with my piece. I'm comfortable carrying a DA/SA.
Don't see the harm or reason for your shitposting

I liked the look and size, that's about it

2 guns

The first is an LCP because I bought it for my wife and it's easy to throw in my pocket on my way to the store

Second is a .454 Raging Bull because I love the shit out of this gun and carry it everywhere because it's nice to have something you love with you all the time. Also, it gives rifle performance in a handgun so one-shot-stops are more likely and it naturally pierces armor for worst case scenarios. A good shoulder holster keeps it concealed under a jacket and my newly acquired collection of Hawaiian shirts.

Currently moving up from a 1.0 Shield to a 2.0 compact. Everyone went apeshit last year online when it came out because it was Glock 19 sized, so I became interested. Never wanted to carry a bigger gun, but I needed an excuse to buy another gun and figured i should train with one gun extensively. Conceal carry, HD, for LARPing at home, etc. I was kind of underwhelmed when I first opened the box, but its grown on me so much. Fucking love it. Currently waiting for my appendix holster from Renaissance firearms to come in

I have a couple of ccw. My latest is a Sig p229. I wanted a full grip instead of a 3 finger gun. I also wanted a DA/SA.

Federal HST 124 +P or Winchester Ranger T 147

Springfield XDs-9
I chose it because its the smallest pistol with a glocklike trigger i could find that isnt a glock, and is also aesthetic as fuck with the stainless slide.

Im average build (6', 180 lbs, mechanic), and can carry in a t shirt and basketball shorts. Its my first pistol and I had never Cc'd before, so i was paranoid about printing. This thing has almost zero printing

glock 26 gen3. I used to carry makarov pm, grand power p1, glock 19 and now the 26. it's easy to conceal, 10+1 9mm, takes other glock mags, nice shooting - almost like 19..

>What is a coin pocket, ESL?
The little pocket sometimes found inside one of the front two pockets on jeans where people put spare change. However, he is using it more as a hyperbole to show how small and easily concealable that pistol is.

newguns detected

Why not just get a Glock 19? Are you too special snowflake to buy what everybody else carries?

Pocket carried guns actually tend to print a bit worse for me than most other people. Just the geometry of my body, I guess.

Most trigger jobs that lighten the pull weight by swapping out springs tend to lead to the gun being less reliable. It's a trade-off. You're trading reliability for having a crutch to lean on instead of learning how to press a trigger.

I have a Shield and an M&P 2.0 Compact.

I would recommend the 2.0 Compact as the best all-purpose handgun, factoring in price, performance, and ability to carry.

Retard. Glock fanboys are the worst.

>That magazine

You're a retard and that's the reason you didn't just get a Glock 19? Interesting.

I was considering the fn 509 T, any experience?

I'll check 'em out.
Order a box of each and see what's better in my gun, thanks.

Aside from the Glock 19 I've practiced and learned on both a S&W 38 special, a double action only 357, and a Glock 36.
The trigger pull is fine for me and more comfortable.
And honestly it's about handling and carrying a firearm that YOU feel comfortable and proficient in.

I originally carried a cz p07 but I traded that for a glock 19 because of the lack of holster options and the high price of any replacement parts/mags.

Anyway I chose them because of the high capacity relative to size, 9mm, reliability, and ability to be used as either a CC or a "duty" pistol.

Why would I want an overpriced brick?

My main carry pistol is a Glock 26 Gen 4.
I purchased the 12 round Glock magazine for it.
I chose it because I wanted a double stack subcompact 9mm that is proven to be reliable.
Its nothing fancy, it just works.
I also have a Beretta Nano that I keep in my vehicle with a holster in case Im out without my Glock for whatever reason.
The single stack 9mm is significantly slimmer which is convient at times.
I also have a NAA PUG 22 Magnum revolver that I pocket carry as a back up gun.
Its literally easier to carry than my car keys and I'd rather have a tiny back up gun than no back up gun.

I picked a RAMI.
>Fits my hand better than any other subcompact I’ve held
>BD has night sights and a decocker
>Czech quality
>I can shoot it almost as well as my full-sized guns
>Dimensionally like a subcompact Glock with 10+1 on tap
>Turbo aesthetic

Open carry a stock Beretta 92fs at work with a 20 round MecGar mag in a watchdog concealment owb kydex holster.
My CC gun is a m&p9 shield 1.0. With an 8 round magazine. It melts away in my hipster clothes and was super cheap. Also in a watchdog concealment holster, but I'm saving up for a Blackarch.
Bought it because 9mm is cheap an Die Hard. It fits my piano fingers well.

I'm about 6'1 ~220 lbs so I started out by CCing a M&P2.0 compact, then switched over to the Bersa Thunder but I'm not a fan of the ergonomics or the build quality in general. I just bought a G26 gen 4 for $400 yesterday from a cop (it was his personal backup weapon) so I'm going to see how I like that.

Cool gun.I just wish those TLR-6s didn't look so fucking ugly on the 26/29/etc.

Glock fanboys and haters are both equally obnoxious. I'm just glad the CZ shills and 30 y o boomers w/ their 1911's aren't out in force.

I use a glock 19 mag with an x grip in my 26. It gives me 15+1 and a full firing grip.

Bersa Thunder 380:
>DA/SA
>+Metal to cut down on recoil
> +Decocker/firing pin block safety
>+magazine safety is trivial to remove
>+many come standard with Crimsontrace Grips
>+Good trigger (IMO)
>+ Easily found for ~$300

>- could be considered heavy
> -lol 380acp
>-Hillary Hole

>sudden, snap of defensiveness
Why are you so insecure user? The glock really would have been the more logical buy.
If you would have said because they're US made or that the grip was better for your hand you wouldn't have looked like such an idiot.
Do you hate because they're popular or have you evolved to hating them because you've already attached your name/reputation to hating them?

Ill pick one up and try it out.
I have a few G19 magazines already anyways.

I bought a 92FS Inox new a couple years back, after I was mugged for the first time.

>Pros:
Manual safety
9mm means cheap ammo
Reliable
Fits my hand well
Parts are cheap
Doubles as a club
DA/SA

>Cons
Heavy
Initially difficult to conceal

I carry to be safe, not to be comfortable. The cons were sacrifices I was willing to make.

I have 2 snubbies, mod 36 for summer and sp101 for winter; both for pocket carry.
I have a p-64 and lel kek p40 for city pocket carry. And an R51 for fall, when I have a jacket on. I don't usually cc the Security six or Model 10, but I could in a pinch. They're all reliable, accurate, and the cheaper ones are easily replaceable. I don't think I'll find another 36 as nice as mine, but I don't believe in safe queens.

>falling for thr cajun meme

Nigga should've just bought the hammer. That 90% of their upgrade package

It was much cheaper than the Glock after the mail-in rebate, it already comes with steel sights, the ergos are miles ahead of the Glock, and most importantly to me, the grip angle is more familiar. Literally the only thing I like about the glock is the fact that the mags are like 10 bucks cheaper and I can hoard more, but Id have to buy 15+ just to break even considering the M&P was a lower price to begin with. The new G19 gen 5 MOS came out and looks appealing to me, but you're still a stupid glockfag. Besides, M&Ps are like the second most popular line of handgun in the US, it's hardly special snowflake

G42 with all kinds of goodies on it. I have a trex arms side car holster that i just got for it after carrying it with a sticky holster for like two years. I’m still getting used to it and i feel like i have limited range of motion when bending but I’ll get used to it. It’s nice to have an actual Kydex holster that keeps the gun in the same spot unlike the sticky holster. I do miss carrrying behind the waist but I feel that appendix carry has the most benefits all around.

I've got a Steyr M9-A1, Ruger LC9s, and Glock 42 , depending on how concealed I need to be. I bought the LC9s because the Glock 43 hadn't been announced or released at that point. The Steyr is the best poly-framed full-size striker fired handgun on th market. The 42 is small enough to conceal where it's "illegal".

Gen4 Glock 30
It's pretty light, offeres a 10+1 capacity in .45, and is compact while still allowing me to mount a light.
The 10 round thing is big since I live near MA and cross the border frequently, the instructor for my ltc course advised me that I would get hassled if I had mags larger than 10 rounders. But I carry a spare mag and I have never felt under equipped.
I put trijicon night sights on it and use an inforce APLc. The holster is from squared away customs in NH.

Honest question would it be feasible to carry the dessert eagle l5/6 in 357?
It’s lighter and slightly smaller than the normal desert eagle I’m dumb so I don’t see a downside to this please convince me that this is dumb

This. During the rebate Shields were half the price of glocks. I bought one on general principles.

Well I wanted things like the tritium sights and bushing installed correctly without fucking up the finish.
Easier to just have them do everything at once.

>S&W 442
It's loud and rude.
It can make contact shots with out falling out of battery.
It can be fired from inside confined space without having a failure to eject.
I can pistol whip someone across the forehead without knocking the magazine out.
I can argue in court that I purposefully chose a 5 shot revolver because I'm not really trying to shoot anyone unless it's a desperate life or death moment.
I inherited it and I'm too lazy to worry about trying to replace it.
I have situational awareness and don't go to places where I'm going to get swarmed by feral and fearless redguards.
