It is your 2nd amendment right to purchase and own military-grade powered armor. If you can buy and own a tank for use on the road, why not powered armor?
Let's have a fun thread, Jow Forums!
>would your power armor run on gasoline, electricity, diesel, something else, or a combination?
>would your viewport be cockpit-like glass, exposed, or sensors and cameras?
>between VOTOMS wheels, deployable tank-like treads, and jump-jets, which would you have?
>between radio equipment and a shoulder mounted manually aimed turret, which would you choose? what would you chamber your turret in? Would it take ammunition belts or magazines?
>would you put an oversized parka on it?
>between storage space for gear, ammo, extra weapons, and equipment, a compartment to allow a dog, cat, or other pet to safely lay in, or smoke, flare, grenade, etc launchers, which?
>assuming it's bound by the same laws and restrictions as personal body armor, what level of protection would it offer?
>anything else?

The HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I Prototype Armor Defense System, aka the prototype suit from halo legends is peak exoskeleton. Prove me wrong.

Shut up

I like autism as much as the next guy op, but when you're trying to get anons to engage with a paragraph of text right off the bat you're doing it wrong.

>Limited operation time.
Respectable performance albeit time limited.

The SST Marauder is a classic that hold it's own.

Nigggggers

It isn’t time limited. It’s powered by a fusion reactor similar to that which powers the spartan armor. The timer you see is a countdown for the self destruct not a operation time limiter.

I agree the marauder is a classic.

I wish more people knew about the anime adaption.

It was indeed badass. Didn't they make it to honor Heinlein? He died and the series was made in the same year.

"military grade" is a term coined by libtard gun grabbers. Do not be confused since this is what they use to argue that you shouldn't own a mech.

It's funny to think that technically any restriction or law passed that restricts firearms/mil-tech ownership/rights is unconstitutional, null, and void, but they're still enforced. Not to derail, just a funny realization.
We going to have mech-grabbers, eventually?

Considering that It is an extremely expensive armored vehicle with certain physical laws that prevents it from being too heavy or too tall, limiting it to specific roles in combat, it would just be better to buy an MRAP or tank, nonetheless legal issues.

But then again,
>Mountainous terrain Self-Propelled Artillery

Also, do you know how slow they are in bipedal locomotion? They'd be illegal to drive on highways.

Tanks and MRAPs serve a different niche and scratch a different itch. Besides, they aren't nearly as metal.

ISF Powered Assault Armor

>can be air-dropped into battle, no parachute required.
>built in jump jets
>can boost your sprinting capabilities to be faster than most vehicles after a short warmup
>energy shields
>later models can self repair
>can stuff obnoxious amounts of equipment into them

>gets rekts by MANPADS and merks the driver.

Are they remote controlled, cuz if not thats just a waste of resources

Dude, its powered armor, not a drone.
Ever play Section 8? They're pretty resistant to AA fire

Realistically or plot-armory/sci-fi bull way.

The whole point of power armour is that you would need MANPADS to defeat it, you dumb mutt.

Neat, although it's not so much an exoskeleton as a mobile suit...

Depends on your definition of Realistic.
AA in that universe went back to flack guns cause only heavy vehicles are delivered via aircraft. Infantry just gets dropped from beyond the max altitude
of AA and theyre too small and too fast to interceptv via missile. Energy shields absorb most of it, but you can also add flack-plating to add additional resistance. Mind you, dropping directly into AA is still a stupid idea, cause you end up with no shields and heavy armor damage, but its survivable.
