I'm tired of all gear threads on here consisting of /GQ/ navy seal wannabes. Feel free to post and discuss rusky gear in here, even if its just cool pictures.
I've been eyeing up a ZSH 1-2mr for quite awhile and I've seen a few but I'm still on the fence about it. Is $500ish pretty reasonable for a real one? So far I have seen exactly 1 for sale in the past year that wasn't $1,000.
I haven't gotten the opportunity to take it out in the woods and run around with it on an acceptable amount yet.
So far I like it a lot. I like the fact that the weight rides on your hips, all the pouches and shit are included, and its super adjustable.
The only thing I've been noticing is its not as intuitive to draw mags from these as from a chest rig and it can make some movements like squatting kind of weird (ironic). But as far as having some web gear that can haul 8-12 magazines, plus basic sustainment its fucking great.
6b47 freindo. I tried one a couple months ago and it fits surprisingly well and comfy. Even though its got an older style suspension system in it it rides better than an MICH to me.
Your best bet for finding shit is to go to facebook and join every Russian gear group you can find. There is one called (Airsoft store "Masking52" Original equipment / camo uniform of Russian Army) ran by a guy called slava slavy. All the gear is real and he has good reviews. For other stuff its just a waiting game to see what is posted or you can make a "want to buy" ad. Sometimes akfiles can be useful, but again you're more likely to get something positive if you make a WTB ad and talk to people. Many times I've just messaged people asking around and gotten leads on stuff.
You can check ebay too, but everything there is going to be marked up retarded high.

6B47 is not Rifle rated. They are 9mm ball at best.
Brandon Hughes
This user is right. But if you take a 7.62 to the dome I think you're going to have a bad time no matter what.
Luke Rivera
Ha! Its equivalent to NIJ IIA.
James Brooks
I figured when I read it was made from UHMWPE and the helmet isn't thick enough to stop a rifle round.
Oliver Bailey
Real question is what russian helmet IS rifle rated?
ZSH/altyn/k6-3?
Nicholas Long
None of them. The notion that any of them are, is mostly videogame memes and anecdotes that some of them have stopped glancing rounds, which is true for every helmet going all the way back to steel pots.
It's not their fault that "Generic molle pc's and multicam" is so fucking A E S T H E T H I C that every larper and their mother uses it. Even fucking terrorists are running around in multicam and shit. Russian tier one looks awfully similar to the western, why they don't use whatever their army gets issued and prefer to buy stuff from their political rivals?
I guess it's time to post the holy grail of Russian larpers, poor guys seem to switch their unit from VDV, regular army recon, GRU spetsnaz and whatever fancy unit depending on how left feetsie of poster feels.
Btw, users of that gear best describe it as "sack of potatoes that rips on any contact"
>why they don't use whatever their army gets issued and prefer to buy stuff from their political rivals?
Because I imagine Russian tier ones deliberately dress like western soldiers? In Crimea we had pictures of those guys operating in jeans and hoodies, you bet in a symmetrical conflict they'll be running around straight-up wearing the other side's uniforms

well... no

I fucking love those ridiculous bib LBV's.
Jaxon Williams
That's retarded mate. Yep, I already see Western Special Forces killing each other because they thought they saw Russians.
Maybe the reason is much simpler, Western gear is much more superior and cool to have around? Russia has always been a hopeless practitioner of advanced cargo cult, guess dreams of becoming butt-buddies with the Western side of the world never dries up.
he's objectively correct IMO, the PK-series has a ton of intuitive features built into a single package. There are better guns in terms of fit and finish, but good build quality doesn't automatically make a good combat MG.
>pick a boring pic with trash tier aesthetics to prove his point why are you like this?
Logan Bailey
Dude everyone told you in the last two threads you looked like a fucking moron. Please, for the love of God, stop posting. This shit needs to fucking stop.
At least you actually have gear, unlike 90% of the people in here.
Christian Lewis
Does anyone online have olive drab SSO Smersh AK vests in stock? Also, where is the best place to buy a real gorka? Do I have to worry about "fake" Russian gear when shopping online? Is there one source that is best overall to shop from? Just getting into slavshit and would appreciate the advice.
Can you wear the suspenders of typical Russian lbe’s underneath a plate carrier? Or do they have to fit over the plate carrier? Cause I’m definitely in the group that thinks you should take as much shit off of a plate carrier as possible due to poor center of gravity and shit being in the way, especially for going prone.

>7.62x39mm >74 DTK flash hider.
user why?
Adam Gutierrez
why would you use that to represent western soldiers? it looks like shit. ops-core helmets and multicam were a mistake.
>buy stuff from their political rivals? After Crimea, no they don't. Bu they still import fabric from US to make gear, bu it is not that Russian fabric is any worse.
Cooper Nguyen
>posted pic of Alfa with the lone Hk 417 they own. Alfa is internal security.
SSO, Rusian for SOCOM, use German midget sub and Itaian rebreather.
Asher Sanchez
>Also, where is the best place to buy a real gorka? Just by something that brand Bars or SSO and you will be fine. >Also, where is the best place to buy a real gorka? Yes >Is there one source that is best overall to shop from? Facebook group Gay shop and any online shop that you can find.
>Chicom rigs were so beloved that pretty much everyone started using captured ones or just copying them Funny how we started copying the country known for copying others
How do Russian vests and plates compare to Western ones? I understand that their helmets are generally worse, but i've never hear anything about what level of protection their body armor offers.
About the same. Old plates were about lvl 3, intended to stop 5.45 and the newer ratnik 6a plates are intended to stop 54r AP, which is broadly analogous to lvl 4.
