Lever Action Thread

I want a Browning BLR, cause it shoots the pointy bits.

Do Lever Actions suffer in accuracy compared to bolt actions?

Can you mount a scope on a lever action?

Or better yet, a laser sight?

gears do not belong in guns and that cocksucking gun should burn

Not that you'll likely ever notice

I'm trying to create a new trend called "tacti-fudd"

9mm revolvers w/ hammer shrouds
SRB 12 gauges
Lever Actions w/ Laser SIghts

Henry makes a similar model, i hear the trigger isn't as stiff.

I think I'm gonna buy my first levergat, can someone redpill me on a good place to start?

Can we also discuss pump action rifles?

Model 94 Pre-64 I picked up two weeks ago.

>it shoots 5 inches high at 50 yards with lowest elevation setting

I bought a set of side mounted williams peep sights for it

Notice how the rear sights are forward of the receiver in and .

Tell me of the horrors of the BLR action, user. I know that having the trigger move with the lever made it dicey, but just how dicey?

Many lever actions are drilled and tapped for a scope...atleast the 336 and model 94(later years) are. Just use open sights!

I'd feel silly using this thing.

here is one without the chinesium.

Has anyone ever heard of a company called Troy?

I want to see one of these with a drum.
Because it's pretty fucking pretty in that tactical fudd era of law enforcement sort of way.

You can find a 760 in 00-06 for 300-400 bucks, but I can't seem to find one that cheap in .308.

Or like tactical cowboy load outs

I changed my mind, i want a Rem 760 or 7600 in .308

Anyone else ever fantasize about living in a state with shitty gun laws and having to learn how to run a lever gun really fast so you can fend off the hordes of basketball-americans, then just look wistfully at your USP .45 and AR-10?

ffs, this is ridiculous, i can't understand why people want 200-300 dollars MORE for .308 R760 than in 00-06, it is the third most common version of that rifle.

What's wrong with it?

I want a Browning BL-22

Probably the increased tacticalness of .308. But .30-06 is actually the master race with laughing 220gr bullets.

Are modern Marlins really as bad as people say?
I want a levergun or two and I really want loading gates on them, so Henrys don't really interest me.

What's the general opinion on new production Winchesters?
I want one of their .357 model 92 carbines or shorts, is $850 a reasonable price for them or do they go lower than that?

Any one know who makes a good leather cheek rest for Rossi r92?

You. You're going to make it

Old fashioned ones? To a point, the lockup is not as tight as bolt-actions. Plenty good for hunting though.

On the Browning BLR or Henry Long Ranger, then no, because they use a rotating bolt-head, and are available with fully free floating barrels, both being particularly nicely manufactured, giving them actually quite good inherent precision.
In .243 Winchester and with some careful handloading, you could easily score some delightful subMOA groups.

Most of them can, even the old-fashioned ones.

I suppose you could do that too.

DOGHOLE!

If you're worried, buy an old pre-Remington one.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Bear crafter makes some nice ones.

I get this reference

I don't have to make shit when I toss enough money at it.

Have you polished yours up?
