Not Good Apparently :/
James Rodriguez
Good if you need to let off some steam
Nathaniel Ortiz
It's good against knives. Definitely would wear it if I go to Europe
Noah Peterson
It could definitely stop .25 acp and possibly many more.

Serious answer to a troll thread:
Chain mail is of minimal but nonzero value for self defense.
obviously no defense against firearms
Will protect from slashes, so if you live in a huemonkey favala or anywhere in africa it will afford some protection vs machetes
Will not stop a stab but might limit depth
When paired with a padded gambeson would provide excellent protection vs clubs/bats.
Cameron Rivera
Wouldn't a gamberson be good against cutting and slashing too?
Jace Miller
Mail is pretty great against stabbing. The weapons designed to defeat it, like the rondel, don't really exist anymore, and neither do the tactics. Watch some videos of stabbings, and then compare that to the knife techniques shown in the manuals. Modern knife technique is just to shank the fuck out of someone's abdomen until they stop moving, ancient (armored) knife technique is to make huge icepick strikes to the collarbone with your entire bodyweight behind it.
That said, mail does fuckall against firearms. That's kind of a big drawback in the modern world.
Brody Morales
Not very useful on its own.

Good if you're fighting high voltage.

>I get to keep guns for self-defense.
That *is* the kind of chain mail you meant, right?

Modern day chain mail has smaller tighter rings, with stronger metals.
I did see some chest pieces made of titanium go for $5,000
Adrian Roberts
It’s fine

It would definitely stop a stab, especially with modern weapons.

I would be good during a knife attack. I wonder if europoors have laws against wearing chainmail kek
Brayden Stewart
You have to wear it with leather pants obviously
