Waffenmuseum Oberndorf a.N

Sup Jow Forums,

So today I went to the Waffenmuseum in Oberndorf am Neckar as a birthday present from my fiance.

The Waffenmuseum displays Weapons of the three local firearms manufacturers Mauser, Heckler & Koch and Feinwerkbau.

The entrance fee is 2€ and the amount of history you are able to experience for the money is absolutely astounding.

From the earliest versions of the Mauser Rifle to the Sturmgewehr 44 to pure Kraut Space Magic (HK G11) everything is covered.

If you ever come to Germany or even live there, you definitely should visit this small but fine museum. You can also visit the Heimatmuseum of Oberndorf which is located on the same floor and is extremely rich on artifacts of ages long passed where the Celts were living in the black forest.

I would like to share all the pictures I made in this bread beginning with a fine example of a percussion pistol.

One last thing:

If you can, go there.

Otherwise you will never stand within feets of guns like the G11, the StG44 or some more obscure prototypes of German small arms development.

It's definitely worth it.

Thanks man

It's an 1871 Mauser.

They should totally produce this for the consumer market.

Had to produce something after Treaty of Versailles.
>that Mauser 1893 in the background with the 10-rd box magazine.
Oh hey it survived.

It's the ZF41; was meant for squad marksmen.
