Didn't see one so starteded one. What have you bought recently? Anything for Black Friday, or just in general? Getting anyone a gun for Christmas?
I bought a Japanese Arisaka type 99 today with a cut down stock. I like it a lot but not too sure about the purchase yet, what do you think? I paid $130 for it.
This is my most recent acquisition. It US Model of 1917, made by Remington in July of 1918. Still has the original bluing. Snagged it for $325 out the door.
Ground off mum has its own historic value in my opinion. If the bore looks good, and all the parts are intact, you'd have a proper Arisaka with just a replacement stock.
Colton Nelson
A replacement stock can be had from Liberty Tree, and with that you should be all set.
Evan Cook
Post a pic like this and I'll tell you the series and manufacturer who made it.
It's definitly been re-finished. And badly at that. Tha'ts not blued, it's matte black. I wouldn't have spent more than 80 bucks for it.
Liam Rodriguez
Can you narrow it down to a year? I got a series 30 with a serial number below 2k
Ayden Scott
The only reason i did get it was because the bore was excellent.
Joseph Hill
That would place it in 1941.
Hunter Howard
Every Type 99 has an excellent bore. It's not like they were used a lot.
Landon Fisher
I might get myself something for Christmas. I'm between an FAL, PTR 91, MP5, 1892 in .357, and a 1911. That or save up and hop on the first decent SPAS 12 I can find on jewbroker.
Thanks! Good to know. I'll have to try and find an authetic stock
Lincoln Roberts
I found a Type 99 Arisaka stock online for $60 with $22 shipping. Which is way cheaper than any others i have seen. Should i get it or does the low price tag make it sketchy. Seems fine in the pictures.
Justin Diaz
picked up 25 aluminum g3 mags and 15 steel all surplus g3 surplus leather sling some chicom pouches surplus p64 holster a few korean 75 rd ak drum 50 bucks shipped
Thomas Ward
Even if it's beat up, it'll be better than the cut off stock you have.
Worst case you can strip the finish and redo it yourself.

So I picked up a CZ Scorpion E3 couple days ago and haven’t been able to go out with it due to work.
Picked these up yesterday. Ordered them a few months ago. Shot them today. I love the mk23. A lot easier to shoot than I thought, and I can even reach out to 100 yards, although it does take a while to get walked in. It's only like 10% bigger than my glock 40 and the grips aren't that big. Only thing I don't quite like is the decocker.
I'm still not sure about the USP 9 expert. I like the sights, but I'm not quite use to the trigger. It was bought to replace my glock 34 gen 5 since I don't like that one, but I'll be doing more side by side test to see which one I'll keep.
It doesnt have the handguard but the same seller is selling it separately for a similiar price. Should i buy the hand guard too? lol
Luis Garcia
The expert has a match trigger like the tactical, right? What is it about the trigger you don't like? I'm between a 45 Tactical and a Mk23 myself some day.
Dominic Rivera
Point blank ask the guy if there are any cracks, if not buy it then and there.
John Gonzalez
Honeslty I'm basing it on my recent type 99 purchase. A series 30 missing only the cleaning rod and dust cover. Only some minor surface. I spent 200, so that's my benchmark. I also take a dim view of destroying historical items. But the actions strong so you do you bro. Get a nice stock and take it to the range and have fun.
Jordan Miller
It's not that I don't like the trigger, I'm just not use to it. I spent the day mostly shooting the mk23 since I had more ammo for that and other guns I brought out. I only had enough of 9 to shoot like 30 rounds out of the usp.
Ayden Jackson
I bought a Walther G22 with rds for $300 on Gunbrokerand then picked it up on black Friday. Still have yet to shoot because of snow and work. Did I do good Jow Forums?
Why? There are plenty of other non-fugly 22 semi autos made by non-airsoft companies. But if that's what activates your almonds, $300 is probably a decent deal.
Jackson Thompson
Got pic related a couple weeks ago, still sitting in jail at my FFL so the best you're getting is a stock image.
Fuck the NFA, Fuck the ATF, Fuck all infringements on the 2nd Amendment.
Got this secondhand M500A the other day for $200. Already got two chukar with it. Since the stock is dinged and a bit scratched I'm looking at aftermarket stuff for funsies.
Picked this up for a song, should be here by the weekend. My first AK of any kind, it'll be interesting to shoot something that's not an AR shotgun or bolt gun for once.
Oh man sounds like you ran off with that gun. All the the other Arisaka's at the gun show were $300 minimum and one of them was a straight up wall hanger, unable to fire
Isaac Phillips
Nice pinger. Make sure to either only shoot low-pressure ammo, or to get a gas-plug for shooting high-pressure ammo.
Austin Walker
Your feet are horrendous
Zachary Gomez
>those trips >checked by the M1 Garand
Blessed Battle Rifle!
Hunter Rogers
thanks, til I get an adjustable plug I stocked up on S&B 150gr garand ammo
I fucking love the M1. And the BM59, because it's still kind of an M1. I really like this style of receiver and rotating bolt lockup overall, actually.
I suppose thats fair but i'll probably put a couple rounds through it a month and at least i can larp in my bedroom like an autist knowing it could fire lol
You'll have a lot of fun. I put an old Lantac Dragon on mine that I bored out to 9mm (before they started making them in 9mm) and it shoots pretty flat.
I use my Scorpion for USPSA Pistol Caliber Carbine matches before I can get enough money to build a QC10.
Thomas Turner
Whatever you're asking, I cannot afford. Still, I appreciate the offer. How's it like to shoot, and how many magazines do you have?
Jose Gray
This is the only joy I get.
Fucking I-1639 fuck you in the ass
Leo Cooper
Very nice my man. Gonna have to get into reloading for that rifle. Fuck its a beautiful rifle though.
Henry Lee
It is a tack driver, but is picky about food. It shoots Winchester white box well though. It has almost no recoil and is a blast when mag dumping. I have five magazines because they were on sale at Sarco.
Christopher Lee
I don't have reloading equipment nor am I going to invest in it.
Easton Reed
I made a thread about possibly buying my first gun, a Marlin Model 60 the other day. I just picked it up and I love it!
Nothing wrong with a good .22 plinker, I have a few but started with a Marlin 795. Great little gun. You'll love that Marlin, But my 1951 Winchester model 61 pump .22 is my favorite.
Adrian Wright
I suppose this counts, just finished my Black Friday P80 build. Came in at just under $400 not counting the APLc and mags.
Holy image resolution, Batman! Closeup of this weird sticker. I'd rather not have it but I suspect it's factory so I sure as fuck am not going to be scraping it off.
Over my overcooked/once-dropped tendies! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Also someone cut an M16 magazine and welded it to the bottom of the AP74 mag to make it look like a 30-rounder when inserted. I don't think it's a factory thing because I can't find any other AP74 mag set up like this.
Possibly. I have a No.2 MkI* made by Albion and a Webley, post war police pistol. I "beagled" a Lee 35 Remington mold to drop .361 200 grain bullets. They love them. In a pinch, 158gr .358 SWC bullets will work too. Reload for the little shits, they are fun guns.
Angel Collins
What the fuck why. Just drive a state over and buy it.
I don't really understand what you mean by that. It's just the one goofy magazine that came with the rifle. I intend to order a triple K one in order to have a spare.
Zachary Jenkins
They are chrome lined idiot!
Carson Edwards
How much do you want for it, user? You willing to ship it to my cuck state or disassemble the mags so local cops don't ree at me?
