>Stearney, 58, was found dead in his Bahrain residence Saturday but foul play is not suspected, according to a social media message posted that day by Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson.
Why complain, he opened a billet for some Vice Admiral.

I don't buy it one bit, either. Where's the motive? The suicide note? Admirals don't climb up the ranks just to shoot themselves, especially not when action against China is around the corner.

>action against China is around the corner. no one can stand against China. just accept your glorious new overlords, as i have done.

he knew too much. if only you knew how bad it really is.

I agree. Given his achievements, he probably wasn't suffering with serious depression. He'd only been in the job (head of the 5th Fleet) since May, doesn't seem long enough to get overwhelmed and exhausted. If the job sucked, he'd been in long enough to just retire "for personal reasons". With everything that's going on in the Saudi/US relationship right now, it seems strange.
>Surprised no one is talking about this Because this isn't Jow Forums and a dead admiral is not a weapon. Go there, there's a couple threads there already on this topic.
