I don't even remember putting the car back in drive and following him out of the lot, but I guess that's what I did. We got dinner a couple miles down the road and I told him I wasn't carrying or paying attention. It all happened so fast. He said he shot high just to scare them off since he wanted to make sure I didn't get hit. He fucking saved my life. If nothing else, let this be a reminder to never let your guard down and always carry a gun. If you've got any thoughts on all this or another crazy Jow Forums-related story I'd love to read it. Like I said, cameras on the firing line. You just sign in on the member's form before you shoot. If you don't sign in, they've got you on camera and there are plenty of signs to let you know it's club members only. I don't know if someone is watching the livestream, but they must review the footage. Cameras could be motion sensor too for the owner to check out who's shooting when they trip. Kinda doubt that since I've seen it get pretty busy though. The range itself is just a large open field surrounded by trees with a berm on the far end. Members bring their own targets and ammo, coming and going as they please. And that's that. If you don't like it, that's your problem.

Sure thing. Maybe not everyone is as dumb as me, but I think a lot of people could have let themselves get into the same situation. Hindsight is 20/20 and it's easy to say you'd never drop your guard, but realistically you're not always prepared. The more you're aware of that, the more likely you'll be to see trouble coming.
