Israelis generally use their own optics, mainly MEPRO M21 (previous standard issue), MEPRO MOR (sometimes, not sure what's the criteria for getting it), MEPRO M5 (new standard issue) and MEPRO GLS (for grenade launchers). Exceptions being the YAMAM (police/national HRT/CTU) and some special forces (presumably Sayeret Matkal) occasionally seen with EOTech and marksmans using Trijicon (don't remember what models and too lazy to look it up again).

Any high risk counter terror op will usually have sas attached. SAS had dibbs on counter terror and serious hostage situations for decades. Only fairly recently have police teams started to cross train with them and now may work side by side. Police can now do explosive entry but SF still have all the cool shit like IED jammers.

I'd imagine you'd be fine as long as you're the traits listed. most jobs like a goal oriented and dedicated person, but i'm pretty sure that's a trait they look for frequently in sof.
other than that, the only thing i really know of for sure is intelligence, someone who can go alone and be just as sufficient as when on a team, and for some reason totally full of themselves lol.
I've heard from quite a few sof guys that most of them are jackasses who have the habit of challenging orders, but that might be something that's picked up.
task force 88 for example only took orders from socom itself, I can't imagine you wouldn't start to feel godlike when you can even ignore a general.
